IntercityHotel Berlin Ostbahnhof

The hotel itself is great. Perfectly located inside Ostbanhof, we took around 20 minutes to go to most places we wanted to. It's just across the street from the East Side Gallery. Can't get much better than this. Rooms are huge, bed is comfy and the staff was very friendly. Getting the public transport ticket for the whole stay is a game changer, totally awesome.

The WiFi is actually inexistent. We were on the second floor and it just didn't work, very annoying to be honest. And for two nights we had a lot of noise coming in from the rooms next to ours. Really loud music and people laughing, but you could also clearly hear people walking the corridors.

Clean rooms, soundproofing, location, good quality for the price

Transport tickets are available for people who are part of some hotel program. So we were dissapointed with this fact because we expected to receive them like other people in past reviews.

Location is great, not only you're very close to the cool Kreuzberg and Friedrieschain spots but also hotel is simply attached to the train stations (Ostbahnhof) so you can go anywhere you want very easily using S-Bahn. At the train station there are also two food markets, coffee shops etc. The reception staff is very nice. Room is spacious and cleaned every day. There is a small fridge in the room and amenties to make a tea or coffee. Secured parking lot for 12 euros per day is a fair price nowadays.

Ok, this is close to the train station and this is Berlin, expect some 'interesting' individuals if you know what I mean. However, the area is safe, there is a police station near by but you may feel uncomfortable if you are not used to such pictures. A small minus for a hotel, it has no air condition. Suprisingly, room was not that hot even it was extremely hot outside [28-30 degrees. another for a parking lot, it is secured by the gate and cameras but there are pingeons inside and my car was covered by birds sh*t after few days. Other than that all was perfect and fully recommend!

Breakfast is pretty mediocre. Don’t know if it’s worth it. Barely any vegan options and the fruit selection was quite mediocre. We also has an issue with the rooms, so we got the breakfast for free, but at the end we payed the same sum of money even if we were downgraded for one night. The person at the desk said that it’s only fair cause we got the free breakfast, high makes breakfast no longer free. The difference would’ve been for about 3eur maybe, so we didn’t push for it, but it’s the principle of it.

The receptionists are great, so much helpful and so many support and care from them. They have electronic check-in also. Many thanks them to keeping our luggage after check out. Generally it is comfortable hotel for travelers, with great facilities for Berlin. Really clean and quiet. Pretty big room. For winter the temperature was great.

Location. It is plus and minus from both sides. It is directly near the train station with all pluses ( like shops works even on Sundays, cafes, transport) and minuses like drunk people. But the police knows their job and time by time they "clean" area.

Literally at the station, 2 min walk to the platforms. Very clean and quiet. There is a kettle in the room, also mini fridge. Complimentary water bottle was a nice surprise. Free ticcket is a real gem.Staff is nice and helpful. Receptionis, room service and breakfast staff- exccellent- kind and discreet! Congratulations! There is a vending macchine in the lobby.Very tasty cake for breakfast :))Deccent coffeee.

Breakfast is better than in last year. I would ccchange the orange juiccce- it is a orange dring, full of artificcial stuff. The apple juic eis good , though. I would think of nicer presentation of the food, the butter " balls" look like patatoes..pity. No enough vegatables- only cucumbers and tomatoes. No olives, no radish etc. Also no fish in any form.

Best location ever, it’s basically built into the train station Ostbahnhof - 15min little walk along the wall to get to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, where we attended a concert & you can simply hop on the trains to get to any other part of Berlin. Also the HopOnHopOff bus stops right in front of the hotel as well ~ everything super convenient 👍🏼

No AC in the room. There was just like a portable fan.

Location is perfect, inside the Ostbanhof Station. Less than 5 minutes walking to East Side Gallery and in walking distance to Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. U and S Bahn connections are excellent. Staff is nice and helpful. Hotel is really clean and overall, comfortable. WIFI works well.

Breakfast, for the price, is limited and room can be packed and noisy. Intercity hotels offer a free transport ticket during your stay but now, due to the 9 € ticket, it is kinda useless. Courtains do not cover all the window and light enters.

I stayed for 6 nights. Everything (or almost everything) was excellent: room was spacious, clean and quiet containing a refrigerator, a large desk and everything else one needs, location of the hotel is excellent in Ostbahnhof, so easy to get to other places by jumping into the S-Bahn, I love that the room comes with a free travel pass for the Berlin public transport, which I could even use for the ride to the airport. The staff was courteous and friendly, easy going and fine in all respects. I would definitely stay again!

The wifi was rather unstable and sometimes weak. I was attending an online conference for the first couple of days and it was sometimes a challenge. The application of the system is also a bit confusing for those who stay for a while. One regularly needs to reenter the room number and name to stay online, but for some reason I wasn't always prompted to reenter the info in my devices, so I often thought I was online when I wasn't. This must have something to do with the overall system, because I had four devices with me and they all had that same problem.
