Antonius Hotel

Staying at Atonius hotel was absolutely perfect! My expectations were high, but they were exceeded. My wife and I loved everything about it. The staff were very friendly and polite. Our room was stunning! The sitting room downstairs together with the beautiful furniture made it the perfect place to read a book, with distant music playing in the background, and a dry martini at your fingertips. I cannot say enough about how extremely satisfied we were staying here. Tartu as a town is not big and not a ton to see, but just for this hotel, I will return.

There was nothing not to like. The sole improvement point would be to ensure that there is someone at the bar who is confident in making drinks. Again this is not a negative, but something to continue to improve. The staff in the foyer did a great job, and I am sure that with time and experience, their expertise in making drinks will also come to a professional standard.

We really liked the hotel. It met our expectations. Price and quality was well in place. The hotel was cozy and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. Hotel room and bathroom were spacious and had nice interior. Breakfasts and dinner at restaurant was tasty. For both of us it was first time at Antonius hotel and we probably will visit the hotel again if we travel to Tartu again next time.

We were a bit disturbed by the soundproofing of the doors. On the first night there was a lot of movement between neighbouring rooms during quiet time. I heard every knocking, conversation and quit loud closing of the doors. Most of the time and on the second night we didn't see it as a problem anymore because there weren't this kind of frequent movement in the corridors any more. Second thing that I noticed and what could be better. During the room cleaning it would have been nice if new water bottles have been added to room on the second day. But it wasn't that important or something that would make me downgrade the score we gave.

Awesome boutique hotel in the heart of the Tartu Old Town. Great staff, personal approach. Nice restaurant and cozy bar. Dog friendly (Euro25/night) with a very nice 'dog care package'. Street parking is Eur3/hour, but you can use the underground Tartu Kaubmaja parking for long term (approx Eur25/24 hrs), 5 mins walk from the hotel.

Location is absolutely great, located in Tartu old town. Cute rooms and super comfy nice big beds. We were staying there with our little French Bulldog and our doggo was welcomed with a super nice gift bag of dog treats. He enjoyed it so much.

We did not understand why they allow dogs to stay at their hotel but at the same time the dogs are not allowed to the dining area. Bit confusing and made us go and eat in shift so that our dog would not have to stay alone in the room (would cry and bark if alone in a new place)

The Antonius continues to offer accommodation and hospitality at the very highest level. The rooms are luxuriously furnished, and the breakfast exceptional for its quality and diversity of offerings. The staff are welcoming, intelligent and fully informed

The shower water easily floods the bathroom. The addition of a shower tray would prevent novice users from flooding the bathroom! A further improvement would be the addition of beer on tap in the bar.

The deluxe room was amazing, it was huge and beautiful. The a la carte option (different types of eggs and pancakes) at breakfast is very nice, however other than that the breakfast is just average. Loved the aircon during hot summer days!

The rooms on the ground floor have windows directly to the courtyard (with a restaurant) or the street, so you cannot really ever have the curtains open. Sound proofing is poor, but luckily the hotel guests did not make too much noise.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Our wishes before arrival were fulfilled. Breakfast was served nicely, a´la carte portions at breakfast were delicious and the space was peaceful.The terrace in the inner courtyard was nice. Bed in the room was excellent and bathrobes and slippers gave luxurious feeling for the stay.

Air condition didn't work properly, refrigerator ( minibar ) didn't work at all, carpet in the room was a bit weary

The location in the heart of Tartu est really parfect. You can visit this small but beautiful and very interesting city from the hotel. The breakfast is very nice. The restaurant very good. We just were not very happy when we discover that the room has not been made at 3 afternoon. But this was more an incident and globally I really suggest to choose this hotel if you want a quiet, very central and very cool place in tartu

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Can do -attitude was around for every question or wish - and every staff member. Special thanks to Margaret for arranging the surprise wine tasting for my husband's birthday. The fireplace lounge was a perferct venue for the tasting event and evening cocktails.

Nothing to mention. Everything was perfect!

The design is outstanding and it felt as I was in 50s. The stuff is always ready to help. I was in the hotel before the wedding, did photos there and they should be just perfect for medial morning theme. Bed was very big and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, same as coffee,

The hotel takes care about the facilities very well, but still you can see, that they are not new.
