Taormina Hotel and Casino-Adults Only

The property is clean and the rooms are very clean and generally quiet. Staff is friendly and generally very helpful. Very good room service, even late at night. There are some really nice restaurants near by (even across the street). Ladies of the evening are readily available in the motel and the motel has a surcharge for their services. This is absolutely not a family hotel and only adventurous wives would like to stay there since the place is basically a very nice brothel hotel. High security and safe.

Its location is sort of out of the way. It’s not close to the walking streets downtown and there are no ATMs nearby. Taxi service is available to go downtown for $3.50. I considered the restaurant food to be very average and expensive.

Everything works well.Drop off laundry-and you get it done by the end of that day. Order in the restaurant -and you receive precisely what you ordered. Need a taxi now-there's one there. Need an elevator-there are 2 -so never a wait more than 15 seconds. The front desk is properly staffed-so rarely a wait to talk to them. Comfortable bed. There were some days when the hotel was 100% full-and yet the staff stayed clam,focused.Never a cross word.

I've stayed here many times over the years-and the hotel actually seems to get better with each stay.

Two fast elevators,although the hotel is a mere 4 stories.Strong and consistent wifi signal. Restaurant is so good that it attracts non guests. Breakfast has healthy options like porridge(avena),fruit plate,wheat toast,soy /almond milk cappuccino ,granola- in addition to the usual offerings. Well dressed (jacket and tie)security guards and casino staff make the hotel a very safe and pleasant experience-especially at night. Main part of town is a 5 -minute walk away.

I ended up staying here 3 weeks-and can find not one complaint. They really do a good job here. Taxis almost always available in front of the hotel .

I ended up staying here 2 weeks. Everything works well.No shabbiness anywhere. Comfortable beds,modern bathroom,good air conditioning,consistently strong wifi coverage. And they apparently have a new talented cook in the onsite restaurant to the point that it now attracts a large lunch crowd from outside the hotel. The hotel is very well staffed;rarely a wait at front desk;speedy checkin and check out. There are 2 quick elevators servicing 4 floors of rooms. The staff is always-ALWAYS- friendly and helpful. There are almost always taxis available in front of the hotel. The hotel is a popular gathering spot in the evenings. Walkie talkie -carrying security staff is abundant ,professional ,effective and friendly.

Small point,but the hallways could probably do with new carpet. I wish there were a breakfast option of avena(oatmeal) and soy cappuccinos-minor point.

Well managed hotel.Everything works well.Front desk personnel always cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good.Restaurant staff,even when busy,stay friendly. Rooms are large.Bathrooms have good water pressure and hot water. Good beds .Wifi works 100% of the time. Hotel has efficient security. Taxis are almost always available outside hotel . Ample staffing means rarely a wait at front desk. The walk to the main part of town is about 5- 7 minutes

There really is little room for improvement.I've stayed here many times and hotel continues to deliver.

Very run run hotel. I've stayed here half a dozen times since Hotel Del Rey closed. Everything works here. No shabbiness anywhere. Comfortable beds,quality linens.Staff is consistently cheerful. There is a lively social scene in the hotel,especially evenings.Thursday -Saturday the bars get quite busy . Good wifi coverage everywhere in the hotel. The front desk staff responded to all my emails-that's a sign of a well managed hotel.The staff cares. Small fee to bring guest to room.....In dollars,about $ 10.00

Few,if any,healthy options in the restaurant-but having traveled throughout Costa Rica,that is the norm. It's a beef , bleached white bread , mayonnaise ,deep-fried and dairy -eating country.No soy lattes here,except at the local Starbucks , a 7 -minute walk from the hotel. I skip the free breakfast each morning (eggs ,bacon,hash browns,white toast,sugary imitation orange juice)and walk 10 minutes away to a restaurant that serves oatmeal and blueberries.

I've stayed here many times-because it's a very well -managed hotel. Front desk staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The beds are divine. Air con and wifi work very well. If something needs attention ( for example, the TV remote needs batteries)the engineering staff responds within minutes. The breakfast is comprehensive,although I wish they offered porridge,or yogurt or granola for those of us who avoid dairy and meat-but it's not a big deal. The hotel responds to all my pre booking messages on Booking.com-and that's a sign of motivated employees. The social scene in the bar/casino areas is lively and fun,especially weekends.

Good location within walking distance of bars, restaurants, museum and city centre. The breakfasts were excellent and we also ate in the restaurant one evening, again food was of good standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, bed was comfortable and shower worked well.

The hotel lobby was noisy and crowded due to the on site casino. However, the noise didn’t travel to other floors in the hotel.

The Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, it’s has a small Casino, Bar and Club that I personally I enjoyed, the rooms were clean, confortable beds, good WiFi signal, the bathroom was very clean they change everyday the towels buy the way the cleaning lady was very good she keep my room and bathroom clean and organized. The receptionists are friendly and cooperative. This hotel is for adults only and if you feel lonely you will find your companion, I really recommend this place … I will have much fun.

The last night that I was on the hotel unfortunately the persons that were next to my room they had a party I guess and all nigh were screaming and throwing the door, I could hear everything, It may be the thickness of the walls, I’m not sure. Buy the way I was on the 225. Other than that I will definitely come back to this Hotel.

I loved my stay here at Taormina Hotel and Casino. They have a nice onsite restaurant(serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner), casino with night entertainment, and comfortable room with King-Sized bed. They even arranged a Covid Test for my return to the US with 24 hours notice in advance and results received the same day by email. The location is very close to the center of San Jose, one of favorite places to walk around. I was able to reserve an airport transfer at 3AM easily for my return home. I would definitely stay here again.

They made life so easy for me in San Jose that I have zero complaints. I would say I think all breakfast items should be included in the price of the room, however $5 is a small price to pay for a hot breakfast.
