Hotel Iguana Verde

The service was amazing, all needs covered, anticipated and attended to very quickly! The only exception being that after breakfast and when I needed to check out of the room, there was no-one around and the office reception area was locked!? I had to open the gate for the driveway and let myself out. We had lunch and dinner delivered to us and served professionally by the staff at the poolside bar. The bar was closed and the pool was not recently cleaned, but it was a Sunday so that might be expected.

The property is VERY compact and rooms are small. There is construction happening on the upper floor and as early as 7am on Monday, workers were making noise and conducting business as usual right outside our ground floor door.

the staff were amazing. we came in from the airport in a downpour. they were only interested in our comfort. they let us in, ordered food for us and served it. they were extremely friendly throughout our stay. the place is exceptionally clean. they are constantly cleaning. the hotel is in a small town. may seem like a busy area but it is a little oasis. they manage the noise and the plantings and pool are beautiful. the bed was so comfortable!

The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are lovely and spacious and it has a lovely little pool. The staff are really helpful and friendly

The restaurant is currently closed and, apart from breakfast, there is nowhere to get refreshments if you're by the pool. The breakfast was ok but we felt like they were just rustling up what they had available. It's a shame because this is a really nice hotel but I think the location is not where most people would visit so they have cut down on services

The staff person who welcomed us was exceptional. She also created artistic and tasty cocktails for two of us. It is easy walking to a supermercardo and town market. Lovely pool.

Our rooms were immediately adjacent to the pool, where there was music and conversation. As a result there was noise when we wished to go to sleep.

The town is not particularly interesting but it is well located if you are heading back towards San Jose.

Great breakfast. Staff really helpful. First night in Costa Rica and we had forgotten s free things and the staff pointed is to the right places to get the did we needed. Exceptional service. Beautiful pool and courtyard area.

The staff was super friendly, helpful, kind, warm, and welcoming. The rooms were sweet and comfortable. The pool was fantastic! We felt very relaxed and well taken care of after a long flight. And the breakfast before check out was delicious, healthy, and quite filling.

I was a bit surprised to have our bags sprayed upon arrival. I am pretty sure this was a Covid protocol so I understood it but was still taken aback!

Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very warm and friendly. The room and entire hotel was very clean.

There was a family with a younger boy who stomped and jumped on the floor and his room was right above mine. Not the hotels fault but there were only a handful of guests so they should not have been above me

Used the hotel as a stopover to the north and we could not have made a better choice. Very friendly staff and mostly local guests who were a lot of fun. Nice pool, very clean and comfortable room and a great Costa Rican style breakfast.

this hotel is a little oasis in Orotina, which is quite a nice small town. we loved the iguana verde, the staff are lovely, the rooms are very clean and the facilities are great. we would definitely return and recommend to other travellers.
