This lodge is amazing. We had been here many many times, even taking here our groups for birdwatching and we/they all love it. Hotel grounds are amazing, nice trails, trees, flowery bushes, river, birds, mammals and more. Restaurant is lovely at the river, personal is very kind and helpful. All waiters are awesome, Luis and Melkin are great and our favorites, but the others as well.. just don't know all of their names to mention.🤔 😉 Big thank to them for a lively little cake for my birthday!😉Food is also good with lot of vegetables and fruits🙂 Receptionists are also all very kind, Fiorella and Magaly are always helpful and smiling.. THANKS TO ALL AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL STAY... AS ALWAYS FOR MANY MANY YEARS!

Hotel is located in a beautiful valley with lots of greenery, a river you can swim in and a very picturesque ‘colonial village’ The frog ponds next to reception attract tons of beautiful frogs in the evening. Nice pools, lovely grounds with lots of facilities like football table and poolside bar. Rooms are clean and spacious

Food at the hotel is not fantastic but when you follow the road a bit further up the hill, there is a great restaurant with amazing views across the whole coast. (5 min drive)

beautiful location. slow creek flowing along side of the property. peaceful. sounds of ‘the howling monkey’ was a nice treat. chicharras we’re very active every night.

I didn’t receive the luxurious ‘canopy room’ that I actually reserved. room supposed to have 2 queens a nice balcony/ deck. it was facing up along the creek with a great water flow. I was supposed to have 3 ppl. I called to confirm and chose the all inclusive package. I was told no problem for 3 ppl. just pay additional inclusive package. But our reservation showed 2 persons only. I corrected that but got a floor level very small for 3 ppl. and they said because we had 3 ppl. we only got one bed in luxury rooms. without communicating they shift us to a ordinary room.

The service. The staff felt like a big family. The room was great for a short honeymoon, but needs maintenance. The hotel was not super new, but has a wonderful ambience with soul.

The room was great for a short honeymoon, but needs maintenance. The power failed twice and the toilet had a reflux... The food was a bit on the colder side. The use of colorants for the desserts was all too much for me.

We enjoyed staying in the "treehouse" which had a huge balcony overlooking the river. The room was very comfortable and the wifi was great. The included breakfast was decent. We did not pay for the inclusive package and found the restaurant prices a little steep for CR, but not too bad, the staff was very friendly. The swing bridge trail is nice to have, but I'm not sure if the bridges get the maintenance they deserve, some were sketchy to cross, be aware. Without a car this place is difficult to arrange transportation from unless you have a connection with a driver. The staff quoted us astronomical prices multiple times, and Uber/DiDi never worked there. It's a great spot if your a birder and visiting the area, but this spot is mainly a Costa Rican vacation spot and felt oddly empty at times.

Amazing huge "tree house room" was very quirky and impressive. Stunning jungle location - literally surrounded by the sound of nature! Easy to find and get to. Reception provided us with a great early breakfast pack when we went out at 6am to Carara national park, which we appreciated.

Room was a bit sparsly equipped - a wardrobe would have been good. There were large tour groups there too - the buffet-style dinner didn't look too appetising, but we just had breakfast, which was fine.

It is a beautiful resort with many birds and a large garden, bridges, pool and restaurant. The staff are all very helpful and speaks some English. There is a unique bird (Royal Flycatcher) nested on the property. We also saw and hear Toucans and macaws. Overall, it is a very relaxed place for a family vacation.

I loved that the facility is in the middle of the jungle The fone and flore around is spectacular; The staff are very helpful; The WIFI is ! The activities proposed by the hotel are very interesting and worth taking some! Diverse food even though Im sure they can have more options for vegetarians ☺️

The front desk staff and persons serving food not speaking english; Everything ELSE was SUPER!

This was great value! We had a clean, comfortable room with great wifi and nice shower pressure. The surrounding jungle is beautiful and the pools are a great relaxing spot. We were impressed by the value of the all inclusive food and drinks! The quality was much more than we were expecting based on some of the reviews. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The frog pond is great and we saw more frogs here than anywhere else on our 2 month trip around costa Rica! (red eyed tree frog, hourglass frog, black and green poison dart frog, and more!)

It would be nice if they had fruit out for the birds. It's a bit tricky to get the water temperature just right in the shower. It might've been just because of the pandemic, but some parts are looking a bit rundown.

I choose this place for the last days of my trip in the country to be not too far from the airport. Nice waterfalls and national park in the area. Nice hikes also around the property. Big gardens.

Little bit expensive but you need to take in consideration that it’s an all inclusive resort. But this is also a problem, swimming pool crowded with families and children. If you look for a quiet place or a place with more international travelers it’s not a place for you. I saw some French people giving bad reviews, I can understand the reasons but it’s a gross exagération. Although it’s not my type of place I give a 9.
