Hotel Mango Airport

I loved everything about the hotel. We can't thank enough for the staff Efren who was assisting us at midnight, because of UA 2 hours delay was so gracious. My husband injured of falling in LA, couldn't walk that night, Efren took all the heavyweight to carry him to the room he offered the nearest one from the entrance. The next morning, he managed to prepared our breakfast of our choices on the bed. How kind is this man's heart. I wish the most blessings in his life. And the staff as we were checking out, Siluia was gracious to help my husband into the car. She didn't hesitate to give a heavy lift as a lady. I am so grateful! Thank you to those who prepared spotless clean room. Breakfast staffs etc.. The appearance of the hotel was so beautiful, surrounded with beautiful plants and decorations. Room was very clean. The location was so close 5 to 7$ from the airport, but they offer free shuttle I heard. Breakfast was delicious, I loved oatmeal with honey and fruits, my hubby had American breakfast, but there were more. There is Denny's restaurant we can walk in 5 minutes to take out orders after midnight arrival. The property is gated and secured. The pool looked beautiful and clean but no time for us to use this time. I will definitely use this hotel more when we fly in and out. I recommend this hotel with confidence.

Very clean little hotel. Nice rooms. Nothing fancy, but comfortable w/ AC, modern bathroom, and mini-fridge. Friendly staff. Had a little restaurant/bar with good food and drinks. Free breakfast and airport shuttle (3 min. from airport). Nice clean little pool and patio.

It's an airport hotel, so it's on a busy road no real neighborhood around it. The big American Holiday Inn with a Denny's is an easy walk if you do venture out. The restaurant/bar was only open from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, but there were not many people there when we were there (just the bar open earlier would have been nice!).

Overall, the place was great! It was very clean, the staff was friendly. Breakfast was included in the room cost - it wasn't anything crazy, but it was good. For dinner, the restaurant serves an Italian style menu. The portions were huge for the price. And there's a free shuttle every hour to the airport. Made things super easy for me.

The only really not great thing about this place was the noise from the planes flying overhead. The hotel is 5 min from the airport which is great for convenience if you have a flight the next day like I did, but if you were staying more than a night or 2, I might not advise it.

The location is great being so close to the airport, and the staff were incredibly helpful, eloquent and kind. There was a pool and a restaurant attached, and the breakfast was delicious.

Not a flaw of the hotel, but it gets quite noisy being next to a main road where drivers use the horn frequently. The surrounding area isn't really for exploring, though there were simple restaurants very nearby. The aeroplanes are also very loud, naturally! But it was entertaining enough to be forgivable. The pool claimed to be open between 7-9, which we didn't challenge admittedly, but seems a little ridiculous.

Easy access to the airport, includes a free shuttle. Decent breakfast included. Bed was comfortable and there was hot water. The staff was extremely helpful and always available. Really a decent choice for an airport hotel and at a much more reasonable expense that some other big chain hotels which were close by.

The dinner at the on-site restaurant was a disappointment. Tomatoes were not ripe and a lasagna, while tasty, was clearly warmed up from frozen and some of it was not fully warmed up. That said, the breakfast, which was at the same location, was excellent.

Location: excellent and a free drop off service to the airport. Rooms: spotless Staff: incredibly accommodating and communicative. Went out of their way to ensure we were being looked after Breakfast: Really good value for money abs very fresh After service: the hotel allowed us to hang around for a few hours after we'd officially checked out so we could use the pool abs they kindly let us have a few towels to use

The restaurant had a great ambiance and the staff were lovely. Although hesitant to criticise it the calzone needed a bit longer in the oven as it was raw. Didn't stop us having a lovely evening and the prices were very comparable in the local area.

Close to airport, breakfasts were great, and staff were very helpful (they set up a tour on short notice for us). The pool was very nice, perfect temperature, just big enough to do laps. Calzones and pizzas from the restaurant were excellent; we ordered calzones the night before for a to go lunch the next day. Close to Denny's, and larger hotel chains for your pickup.

Only thing that could be better would be if they had airport pickup (they only do dropoffs).

Such a beautiful place to stay super close to SJO Airport! The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the pool view is great, but my favorite part was the restaurant! After a long day of travel, it was so nice to eat dinner right there at the hotel! Our server Nelson, who took care of us for dinner and breakfast, was amazing and the food was delicious as well! Overall, great experience!

It was difficult to figure out where to pull into the hotel and the gate was closed so we weren’t sure if if it opened automatically or not (it didn’t) and it was squished between a bunch of buildings and crazy traffic so I had to turn around a couple times. Still amazing once we made it inside!!

Perfect location for an early flight the next day. The hotel rate is a great value for a hot shower, clean place to sleep, an ok breakfast, and free shuttle to the airport.

Location is a pro but also a con. Being very close to the airport means you’ll hear loud airplane activity all night. They let the dog roam around the dining area, sit near and under tables, and beg for food while guests are eating. This was annoying and made the dining experience less enjoyable.

Despite the busy road just in front of the hotel - and the airport within its direct vicinity, you barely notice this all when you enter the hotel and hit for its poolside area. Planes didn't fly over during the night (they did from 7 am and were quite loud :D) so the night was perfect. Breakfast was spot-on, right what we remembered from our last trip to Costa Rica 12 years ago, very tastful gallo pinto and the best pancakes for our kids.
