ibis Bogota Museo

Ricardo and all the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They went above and beyond for us. We went back and stayed three times while travelling in Colombia. (Thanks, we'll be back again some day) The breakfast is amazing! It was one of the best I've ever had. So many choices of everything on the buffet and all freshly baked and prepared, all beautifully presented. The hotel is really close to loads of restaurants. It's right next to the museum (there are more restaurants at the far side of the museum). The hotel is a short walk to the city centre and the attractions.

The location was very good. Very accessible to the center and mall/shopping areas. The room was immaculate, bed very clean and comfortable. Room temperature comfortable. Bathroom clean with hot and cold water. Great! The breakfast was delicious, good choices and on one occasion there was a personal chef to prepare your eggs to order. Was great.

I did not like that the restaurant staff did not speak any English. This made ordering food very difficult for me as a primary English speaking person. I also found one of the waitresses to be unhelpful. One woman in the reception to be rude, but in all fairness maybe this was due to the language barrier.

super nice and safe location. 15 minutes walk to plaza bolivar, the walk is absolutely safe no matter what time you go, just stick to the Main Street (where all the sellers are). Monserrat is also reachable by foot. during day we walked in other districts too - completely ok! breakfast was also good, many ripe fruits to choose. Just wear some long-sleeve, it can be chilly at the restaurant. hot shower, good WiFi we stayed at 14th floor, was nice view from the window. Sometimes you can hear some noise from the traffic (mostly police haha), but not during night time, mostly around 7, when city wakes up. The wall isolation was good, we slept super nice there Staff was 👍

do not forget that’s it’s a basic hotel: the room is quite small, but you can see it on the photos, so we expected it and it was fine for us. it’s a perfect place to stay 2-4 nights.

The view from the 14th floor. Next to the national museum. Next to a local bus station that makes for an easy ride by bus to and from the airport and to another station close to the old town as well. Good restaurants nearby. With Ibis, you know you will get a consistent level of cleanliness and basic general quality in Latin America with a price that isn't exorbitant.

Safe area by day. Less comfortable at night, and you can be approached by the occasional panhandler outside the hotel at any time.

The location is great! Ibis hotel is predictable with set standards. Rooms are simple, spartan but has what one needs with attention to environment. I liked the view from my hotel room. The breakfast was delicious. Some of the staff especially the ones in charge of breakfast were very nice and helpful.

The key for hotel lift was difficult to manage. It was tricky. The wifi connection had to be reset when back in the hotel. Not sure why!

Great location, right in the centre and next to the nacional museo. Plenty of places near the hotel (try the burger place right opposite the hotel). If you want to head to La Candelaria it is about 25-30 min walk, which is ok. There is a very lovely neighbourhood with many restaurants in 5-6 min walk-time, It is a modern hotel having a really great view from the window - was looking straight to the Bogota Nacional Museo side. and my room was in the 6th floor, I suppose for upper floors the view is even better. The hotel has a lovely lobby-bar/restaurant where you can enjoy a drink, coffee or something to eat. The staff was helpful and friendly, though some times it was a bit difficult to communicate due to lack of spanish. Wifi was steady and strong! Good security staffed as well, the guy was always at the door even on very early morning times.

There wasn't (surprisingly) any heat on the room. Don't know what happens if the weather is colder.. Wish some of the stuff spoke English, as when you do not know Spanish it is difficult to communicate or ask something. Also sometimes if you hit busy hours there is a long queue waiting - might be better for more stuff to be at the reception?

The location was just great. The staff was nice but some members were careless. The room was good (not something extraordinary). We asked for a late checkout and they agreed without any hesitance, we are so grateful to them. We loved our stay in this place and we are going back soon :)

The rooms were very clean. A little cold inside the rooms, there should be a heater for the current temperature, but it is ok. The hotel tries to save budget as much as they can, that's why do not expect something extra-ordinary, but the value and everything match.

Very good breakfast and very good location in the city. At 10-15 min. walk from to the center.

The room had 1 cup and crockery in the cupboard for 1 person and we were two in a double room. We had to go down to the reception to ask for more from the reception. There is no drinking water, not in the room or anywhere in the hotel. There is no fridge. Hot water is not always available.

I always stay at Ibis Museo because is close to all the things I like to visit in Bogota, it is easy to access either through TransMilenio or UBER. Also, FYI it is the fastest route from/to the airport, not major traffic jams. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the security guard and the people at the restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

I understand the high value of the buffet breakfast and the variety, but I feel the portions are small and I feel there is always someone checking on you about how many portions you get. But I understand that from the point of view of the business, this needs to be done as there are people who get too much. A couple of gringos took all the little arepas and did not leave any for other guests. I bought a nice arepa con huevo around the corner from a street vendor with some coffee and it did the work.

1. Excellent location to all the major attractions in Bogota. No need to use taxi or Uber. 2. Good price with breakfast included

1. The room cleaners don’t clean the room at a regular time, I mean, sometimes in the late morning, or sometimes in late afternoon. Fir this reason during 5 days’ stay I didn’t get my room cleaned (twice I refused to let them clean it in the afternoon, as I came back from outside, and needed to take a break) 2. There is no fridge in the room
