The location was SO perfect, right at the corner of the bridge to the main beach, and beside Skull Island miniputt - super cool place! Trees on property and the layout of the place make it feel secluded, while every room faces the water. On the upstairs balcony I could see the lake and the sunset a bit, making it feel extra close to the water. The firepit, clean outdoor pool with great seating, fun playground, basketball court, volleyball net - the perfect place to step back into from a hot beachy day. Other cottages right beside make it feel like a community, lots of other families around to mix it up between the odd groups of bachelor and bachelorette parties around. The air conditioner was powerful, quite loud but that drowned out some stuff going on outside. Security on site all night all weekend made it feel safe. It is family run with family members living both on site and nearby - all working hard to take care of the place in the busy summer months. Th staff went above and beyond and clearly care about the place - from little things available like a spare volleyball, badminton rackets, tboardgames, to the snacks and the cutest jewelery for sale. (looked everywhere for an anklet I liked - found the perfect one right at our hotel for 5$ :)) They had an air compressor and helped by blowing up our pool floaty! The complimentary coffee was perfect and those dang muffins - so good! Lots of different granola bars, good selection of tea, hot chocolate for my kiddo with the kettle ready to go. Our room had a full kitchen, included kettle, toaster, cuttlery/dishes, dish soap, papertowel, awesome blow dryer, soaps and towels, TV (took us a while to figure out - limited selection but still plenty options. Great first trip to Wasaga for my daughter and me. Thank you!

The spare blanket was pretty old and light, we would've been a bit cozier with some nicer comforters but the beds were still comfortable and clean. The A/C was loud, but thankful for it drowning out the streets - which were also not too loud thanks to the nice trees and facing a quiet street! The hot tub was closed down, pool was beautiful tho. Pics don't even do it justice! Tip: Earlier swims got the best sun. Would've maybe appreciated some hand lotion as it got dry in there but it I cared I could've asked. Just a suggestion :) Staff were approachable and friendly!

Back in the summer of 2022 we stayed at the Saga Resort. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to book again with Saga Resort for this years' little beach get away. This was our second stay at Saga Resort. The Saga Resort staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saga Resort. See you next summer! Lori & Dean

I cannot think of anything we didn't like. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay with Saga Resort.

Spacious room with 2 queen beds and a full fledged kitchen. Location is great at a main junction and very close to Wasaga beach. Though it is not right on the waters, it is just a 3-4 minute walk to the beach and cleaner and better than a comparable hotel/resort on the beach. Staff are very warm and welcoming. Clean room and sufficient number of clean linens Wifi connectivity was good.

Limited breakfast menu (just coffee+few granola bars+cup cakes)but coffee was greatly brewed. No complaints because breakfast is complimentary. It is just the room plus some barbeque facilities available right in front of the room. TV set inside is not smart TV ( we could not play You Tube on the TV)

The room was phenomenal. It's advertised as a 3-star resort, but the room made it feel like a 4 star stay. All its missing is a fully loaded mini bar fridge, and it would be a 5 star room. The location was great as well. 2 minutes walk from all the beach sights and 5 minutes from all the dining and shopping.

There is nothing to complain about. If I have to nit pick for the sake of review, the shower pressure was really low. But with a jacuzzi tub, that's not really anything to complain about.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. A pleasure to deal with them. Our cottage was #30. The inside was very clean and comfortable. The mattress tho were very uncomfortable. The outside could use a overhang or cover over the front door area. We were able to check in earlier and on check out they allowed us to keep our car in their parking lot and we could use the pool !

the mattress, very uncomfortable. The skunk that came for a visit!

Unique private little cabin. The jet tub was a great bonus since it was to cold to do outdoor activities the 1st day! Close to shops, restaurants & Wasaga beach to admire the frozen waves.

Advertised with a pullout couch but was only a couch. The room appeared very clean until we sat on the carpet. The previous guests must have brought their dog so we had dog hair all over us. Convenient to have a vacuum in the room but it was almost impossible to clean up the dog hairs. Guests should respect the no pets rules!

Saga resort is very convenient place to stay if you want to sleep over in Wasaga beach: > 5-6 min walk from the beach. > 3 min by car to the plaza where you will find all shops you need (supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants .. etc). > Very friendly staff. > Room is clean and spacious for 4 (parents and 2 kids). > Room has a small kitchen with almost everything you need for few days stay. > Free internet, free coffee (in the lobby), free parking, and free to use grills. > Kids can have fun playing at the playground in the premises and in the night by the bonfire. It's a place that I would love to visit every year.

It was exceptionally clean beyond expectation for that price level. A clear effort is made to maintain that.

The dark brown carpet needs to be updated. I guess its so dark to hide any dirt, but because of this, I wouldn't take my shoes off in there until I went to bed. I'd put some ceramic tile for a few feet inside the door, along with a mat to wipe shoes, then go with a little lighter carpet so at least guests can know that it's not covered in stains. Also, the TV on the wall is just too small. These days large screen TVs are cheap. This is not a place to scrimp dollars. But otherwise, loved, loved, loved the cleanliness. Wasn't crazy to wake up to people smoking on the balcony right outside my window, but this wasn't a deal killer.

Loved this resort, we went up in the winter which gave us the best value for the room I imagine because the resort is so close to the water I could just imagine how busy it is in summer! But regardless of it being winter it was still a fantastic experience. We personally stayed here after a day spent in blue mountain skiing and it was perfect, oppse to a long drive home after a day of skiing it was approx. 35min to the resort, when we arrived the room was already heated thank goodness! We opted for the king size with jacuzzi room and we absolutely loved it, not only was the room like a mini apartment with stove, fridge and 2 of everything you need(plates, mugs, utensils, pot and pan, ect) and then there was the kind size super comfy bed and massive jacuzzi tub to top it off, by far the nicest hotel room we have stayed in!

The only thing I felt needed an upgrade was the toilet, it was definitely an old one and required you to hold down the lever for 10seconds to flush properly, but that would be the only thing! Everything else was perfect!

Space is decent - private and has most of what you'd need. Excellent location and the staff were really great!

Overall great experience just want to mention a few things to make it even better! Missing a few items in the kitchen (e.g., scissors, colander). The outdoor porch light wasn't on when we arrived at night (it was difficult to unlock the door) and the heat wasn't on when we arrived (late on a very cold night in January), so we had to crank it and stick near the fire for the first hour inside. Could use a few little maintenance place to make it even better (e.g., storm door must be forced closed, the toilet flushing is so very loud and takes a long time for the tank to fill).
