Hotel Niky

Excellent location not fare from Vitosha avenue. Metro also not too far. Big room, basic but you have all what you need andthe staff will bring you quickly what you need or miss.

Basic breakfast. No real bread juts toast, so as we asked them, they did the effort to bring us some bread the next day.

Excellent location, very close to Vitosha street, the National Palace of Culture, many good restaurants, and a metro station. Situated on a quiet street, easily accessible by foot. We didn't travel by car, so I can't say anything about parking accomodations and car accessibility. The ambiance is classy, slightly retro, artistic people would appreciate it. Staff was pleasant and helpful, the room wasn't luxurious, but very clean, and had everything one needs when travelling. A nice surprise, not typical for Bulgarian hotels, was the tea set - a kettle, cups, and a box of complementary tea and coffee packets. Breakfast is between 8 and 10 am, - good variety and quite tasty. We had it in the garden by the koi pond, and as a bonus saw them being fed. All in all - I would happily go back, and would recommend to my friends.

I stayed with my husband, daughter, and a teenage granddaughter just before Easter. We loved the central yet very quiet location which enabled us to have a relaxing holiday -being within walking distance of the main tourist sites, amazing little shops, patisseries and restarurants was great. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Every morning, the owners buy fresh pastries and fruit and also make a breakfast favourite of my family - the Bulgarian version of French toast - as well as offer a wide choice of fruit, cereals, youghurt, pastries, a selection of cold meats and cheese, and a very good coffee. Our appartments were comfortable and clean

The location is excellent. Two blocks from the Main Street. Comfortable bed.

The breakfast is only 8-10. It would be great if they can start at 7.

Hotel Niky was a very nice stay at a great price. It isn’t luxurious, but it is very comfortable. The breakfast was very quaint served in a nice room or outside in the cute wine garden. The staff at Hotel Niky were very nice and spoke English well. It was really helpful that the front desk is 24 hr since I arrived late and even later due to flight delay. The hotel is in a great location for walking and taking the metro: it’s on a side street near the wonderful pedestrian street Vitosha close to the NDK station. I would definitely stay at Hotel Niky again when I take another solo side trip to visit friends in Sofia!

This is very small: Only had pump body wash in the shower and sink, but these days, that’s quite understandable. And actually that is environmentally friendly - no packaging! Next time I’ll pack shampoo, conditioner and lotion 😃!

Good location, friendly helpful reception staff, clean and tidy, nice outside space, good breakfast selection, nice selection of teas and coffees in the room. clean white towels and clean bed linen, well stocked mini fridge, good WiFi.

No socket by the kettle so it had to be carried to and from a bedside cabinet. The carpet was wet because the plastic container which was placed under the heating and cooling unit in the room to catch the water leaking from it failed to do its job. This should have been repaired not temporarily managed. There were no instructions on how to set this unit. When we made a hot drink we found an opened part packet of sugar in with the sealed packets.

The hotel was exactly as the photos. We didn't feel cold at all, since every space of the hotel was heated. The room had coffee and tea for free and a minibar with a small charge. The stuff was very kind and pleasant. If we came back, we would stay there. At the last day we didn't have time to eat breakfast, since we had an early morning flight and as a result they prepared us a lunch box that made our day and filled our stomachs.

The breakfast could have some more options to choose. Also, it would be better if there was a blanket for both of us at the bed not two for two people.

its close to the center so in the morning we walked to the main atractions of the city center, Vitosha Boulevard, Nedelya Church, Alexandre Nevsky etc. We arrived after midnight and the reception was opened, we could accomodate with a dog and this was a plus.

The breakfast was plain but it wasn't a big deal for us, also there is a little hassle with the public parking but the hotel staff was helpful and sold us tickets, 2 leva per hour.

The location is the best in Sofia, close to the main attractions,steps from the main street but quiet and not busy. The staff are super friendly, so helpful and accommodating. Perfect organization with housekeeping. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. An unbeatable value.

Just one thing that could be easily fixed - the shower area needs to be cleaned well to remove the mold which is quite disgusting and the shower curtain needs to be changed

The location is perfect. It is very close to a subway station from which you can travel directly to the train and bus stations. It is in the centre and within very easy walking distance of all of the sights. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and groceries in close proximity. The room was very big, with a separate bathroom, living room, kitchenette, even two televisions! Although most of the channels were in or dubbed in Bulgarian, CNN inn English was available, which was great. The staff are really lovely. They are experienced travellers and understand travellers. Very friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk, and they kindly allowed me to check in early. Excellent wifi.

The rooms are rather dated and not entirely soundproof (could hear noisy children in the next room and when people walked upstairs it sounded like thumping!) There is a shower curtain (ugh!) instead of a shower door. Not many towels are provided and water bottles are not complimentary. None of this generally matters, but the price was a little high considering - I stayed in a hotel for the same price in Plovdiv which was far superior. So it's a lovely, central, friendly place to stay and a very large room, but not quite value for money.
