easyHotel Sofia

The location is pretty good, you can take the subway (Konstantin...) which is 3 min walking and then in two stops you are in Serdika (city center) or in 40 min in the Airport. Also you can walk to city center and it will take 15 min. There are 3 supermarkets (2 Billa at 8 min and a Avanti 3 min just by the subway exit). I got a room (small double) in the 7th floor with amazing city views. Amenities are ok and if you compare it with the Ibis Sofia Airport this Easy hotel could have smaller rooms but is way better referred to what you are paying for.

Cleanliness... I think they could do better. It is not dirty, it's ok, just that: dust in many places, some hair in the ground of the room, etc... You will survive. To be fair, in the IBIS Sofia Airport the cleanliness was pretty much the same, even worse and you pay twice.

Close to the underground, 5 minutes on foot and then two stops for Serdica station where is the parliament of Sofia! Also there is a parking space for only 2 euros per day if you travel by car. The room is clean, practical and at a reasonable price.

The room is small, but everything is there for convenience. The staff is great! Everyone speaks English and is glad to help you. They provided a charger for the phone (I only took it for British sockets 🤦🏻‍♀️), called a taxi, told me what kind of establishments are nearby, and provided a hair dryer (it is not in the room). Special thanks to the staff! There is a lack of personal hygiene products.

Well, even the cheapest hotels offer you a set of soap and shampoo. I'm not talking about anything else (toothpaste, napkins, etc.). There was only some cheap diluted liquid soap. Bed linen - nightmare. Yes, it is clean, but suppliers must be changed. Your savings on the service is a very big minus.

The reception at the entrance was very polite and friendly. I stayed for 2 nights and met three different staff. They all tried to help. They speak English, although not at a perfect level. The rooms are fine for the price. Very close to metro station and tram. I walked every where so close to Mall of Sofia and atractions Internet is available in the room. There are towels in the room but I didn't use them.

The sheets are still stained even though they've been cleaned (I guess). This gives a feeling of uncleanness. Also, the bed makes a lot of noise. It's a great chance that I didn't move while I was sleeping, so I could sleep comfortably. But there was the sound of the bed creaking in the other room. No slippers for walking inside. Also, a little advice, do not use the carton glasses standing next to the tap, staff do not change them. When I first entered the room, I saw that it was still wet inside so it was used before me.

Reasonable price for a reasonable room. The staff were all fluent in English and very helpful.

Unrelated to the hotel. I was scammed by the taxi driver. Anyone planning on catching a taxi from the airport to the hotel (or any location for that matter). Be aware that the fare should be between 25 and 30 Leva, or 35 tops (from the airport). At the taxi rank, look for an English speaking driver And ask them how much they will charge. If any of the drivers try to physically herd you into their taxi, it's a SCAM in the making. A

The room was really compact, but it had all the necessary things. It was really clean. The bathroom was small, but in perfect condition. I really like the garden that is on the lobby floor and that there is everything for food, shooping etcetra around the hotel.

The only thing that I would recommend for improvement is the quality of the channels offered on the TV, but it's not unwatchable. There are enough channels, the TV is placed at the right spot. It's not something that will make not go there anymore.

The room was what you'd expect from EasyHotel. The bed was comfortable with clean linen, the 'pod' bathroom and shower was also clean and relatively new. This is not a boutique hotel with a comfy sofa or a writing desk, it's a place to sleep and wash! The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even upgraded me to a slightly larger room when they saw my luggage (I'm not sure how I would have fitted in the original 'small double'...there did not seem to be much excess space even in the larger room!)

The reception service was kind enough to open a early check in for us that got very tired of waiting in the airport out in the cold, the reviews that says the hotel is bad or average maybe don't understand the business model of the hotel, is a hotel for crashing sleeping after roaming around the city, it's purpose is to find a comfortable bed and a hot shower in a cold Sofia.

Relating to the price for the quality the place is amazing and i think that you hardly can find a place for the price and the characteristics. Maybe more blankets for the bed.

The hotels location is nice but it does require a 20 minutes walk to the city center. If you can also get the metro from the airport to approximate 10 walking distance. Room was exactly as described. Bare in mind that it is a small room that has all you need. It was sparkling clean upon arrival. Overall check in/ check out proces was easy. The staff was mainly very nice and welcoming. Recommend it!

The sound isolation is not so amazing. Had the luck to hear a lot of other guests. If the guests around you are not loud it's fine but if they are well. Also the air circulation is a bit strange ( although you can open the window and turn on the air-conditioning).

I like the concept and wanted to try it for one night sleepover. Receptionist were really nice and the room was clean.

Looks a little old, I definitely hate the pillows that I just used with towel on top since they were just disgusting. There's AC but the sound they make is like sleeping next to a communist truck :') and the windows can only open fully no option to just vent overnight... The doors in the shower were not properly insulated as there was rust and water leaking to our room from there, but that was not so bad
