Hotel Drei Kreuz

This is a very nice hotel, located 10 minutes from the old town, on foot. Very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, also. Parking is two minutes away and it was not expensive. Staff is welcoming and nice. We travel a lot, and have over 100 bookings on booking.com alone and I think that rating of this hotel on this site does not represent it's true value, at all. As far as we are concerned this is perfect 10. Thank you!

There were plenty of towels and linens, the staff was very very nice, and the room was spacious enough. A bit far from the center, but we had kids with us. For adults it was easily walkable.

It was hot, unbearably hot. We live in Europe and are accustomed to no a/c or fans, but the room opened into a high tall courtyard, and even with windows fully opened there was no breeze throughout the night. A bag of chocolate we bought melted overnight. We tried multiple combos of keeping the room dark in the day, with blinds slightly open for a breeze, nothing worked. Even a small fan for some air movement would’ve been appreciated. The outside temperature in the evening and at night was pleasant, but none of that could be felt in the stifling room.

Could not fault the room it was perfect beds were super comfy! Traveled on the number 2(I think) bus from the aiport to the hotel and it pretty much dropped us outside the hotel- was like a second walk around the corner. Hotel was super easy to find! Was only a 10 minute or so walk to main area it was super quick didn't feel long at all! Staff were super friendly I asked for a extra pillow within minutes I had one which was really appreciated. Had a great night sleep! Staff also gave us a map of things to see and where to get the bus which was a huge help! Would stay here in a heartbeat again- the hotel was exactly what we needed- thank you

Honestly Nothing- other than shame we weren't there longer! Great city and hotel!

Really good 3 person room. Hotel is close enough to the centre (about a 15-20min walk or a regular bus service) but not close enough that it's really expensive. The hotel is right on a direct bus route from the airport which is a bonus (bus 2. otherwise a swap in the centre for bus 10). The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but the rooms are modern, large, clean and very comfortable. Only thing in terms of comfort would be a couple of extra pillows would be nice. Very good value (hotel across the road when I looked was a lot more expensive for very much the same type of accommodation). Breakfast was good too. I'd certainly stay again.

Nothing at this price. I'd rather have stayed closer, but it would have cost a lot more.

Everything you need is provided. Friendly staff, easy check in even when no one was around. Everything was clean, plenty of towels provided.

Our bathroom had the worst smell from the toilet, I almost threw up it was so bad at one point (hotel is next to a restaurant and seemed like smell was coming from there). The place needs a major glow up as the decor is very dated. Salzburg is an expensive place to stay, this was the most basic hotel we in stayed in on our trip around Austria, but was the most expensive.

the staff! they were so great! they answered any questions I had, and gave tips for visiting places and getting where you wanna go. They hotel is very clean. It’s in walking distance of everything you want to do (maybe not if you have any disabilities, but great otherwise. It’s a no frills hotel, but if you’re only going to be there to sleep and then go see the sights, it’s perfect!

Just wish the breakfast options were… more. But they tell you that there’s not a big selection and the price up front, so you know to make plans if you want a bigger selection

5 beds - it's often hard to find a family room for 5. The room was clean. Good blinds on the windows. Good base for exploring Salzburg. Helpful staff. We were able to leave luggage at the hotel before our room was ready. Radiators worked and the room was nice and warm. It was very cold and wet while we were in Salzburg.

The rain! :⁠-⁠) When other guests were passing our room it was very noisy.

The receptionist was very warm and friendly! She shared information about the City Pass, which would be a great value for anyone wanting to do touristy things in Salzburg! There were also great photos documenting the hotel's history, which we got a kick out of. President Ford's staff stayed here!

The single bed in our room was very creaky, so everything I rolled-over, I woke up my parents. (Room 28) There could be better access to outlets near the main bed. We had to plug our phones in on the other side of the room, but I suppose this prevents you from doom scrolling before bed.

First and foremost, the location is superb, located in a quiet neighborhood. Main attractions are within a walking distance. Close to the accommodation one can find bus number 4 - to get to the city centre - and bus number 2 to get to the main railway station.

To be honest room moquette had its years. For a traveler like me suffering from asthma, it can be sometimes challenging trying to sleep on an old carpet or moquette. The bed mattress also was pretty adventurous form my back, more of a roller coster.

This was such a wonderful stay. The staff were all so lovely and as soon as I arrived, the lady checked me in and gave me a map and booklets of all the best sights to see in the city, explaining where the hotel was in conjunction and the best ways to travel here and there. The room was beautiful, the shower had excellent pressure and the bed was extremely comfortable. Such a beautiful place to stay. Thank you!
