Levy's Rooms & Breakfast

The room was clean, comfortable, as advertised. The breakfast was tasty and filling, it is in a separate building but right next door and easy to access. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English well. The hotel is right by the main train station, bus terminal and a couple of well-stocked grocery stores. It was good value.

The location is fine for adults but I wouldn't recommend it for young kids - all the sights are a bus trip or a reasonable walk away; there are a few adult-oriented businesses in close proximity; and there are not many kid-friendly restaurants in the area.

The room was nicely furnished and with 3 beds we still had plenty of room to move around. We were happy with parking being located right out front of the building. The breakfast was very tasty and the space was nice. If you are using the metro system to come in to Salzburg, this is your hotel. We liked that the toilet room and the shower room were separate places. Travelling with a teen, this was a really convenient feature.

It was a smidge far to walk for the big tourist attractions, but maybe it was because it rained every day we were there. After the short desk hours, any questions need to be answered by phone. However, each time I called the phone was answered quickly. The shower was hard to get used to with the half door. I do believe the room was a bit overpriced, but it was July, so I understand.

The room is very big and spacious, equipped with air conditioning. Breakfast is perfect and worth to have it before going out. The bathroom and toilet are separated to each others. The room is absolutely clean and comfortable to stay. It is close to the train station, 5mins walk.

The location is very far from the city old town. You will have to walk for 30mins. There are parking spaces but based on availabilities. There are many people hanging out in front of the hotel with smoking. So, you cannot open the window to get the air.

Location is great, close to Hauptbahnhof and within walking distance (ca. 20 min) to the center. We haven't used public transport, so I don't know if that's convenient, but I saw a trolley bus line in front of the hotel. If coming by car, there is shopping center very near the hotel where you can park for 16 EUR/24 h. Breakfast is good, not a huge selection, but you will not go away hungry. All in all, the hotel is great value for money and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Lovely large room, very clean. Everything you could need including fridge and safe. Breakfast was amazing and breakfast staff were lovely. Housekeeping girls were friendly too.

Building site opposite that we weren't informed of before arrival. They started at 7am. However the builders were very good, not too noisy and we were out all day so not too intrusive. Reception staff were ok on check in, however the rest of the time they were not really interested. In fact when we left we took our room cards to reception to say thank you and goodbye she didn't even acknowledge us. A real let down as that was our lasting impression of an otherwise great stay

Room was large, lovely, and clean. Well-equipped with plenty of storage, great tub/shower, large TV, safe, comfy chair, and plenty of pillows.

Arrived late afternoon and front desk was closed. Self check-in, no problem. Elevator was two doors down the street & my room was in an apartment bldg semi-connected to Levy’s main bldg by the common elevator corridor and two locked doors. As a solo 69 yr old traveler, this felt very isolating, especially since the neighborhood was a little dicey. I had a man looking over my shoulder as I used the code to initially open the front door. Creepy. And, a few people hanging out on the sidewalk at the bar beside the “elevator” door, obviously drunk that evening.

Very comfortable beds, very clean room and the housekeeping lady was super friendly as well. We got in late, and bought take-away pizza and the reception area has a really nice table area where they allowed us to eat. Breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of foods and drinks available and an adequately large seating area. (There is a fabulous pizza place nearby - they don't have a large seating area though). Very close to the Hauptbahnhof, yet far enough away that you don't hear any noise or experience the congestion. Easy to get anywhere in Salzburg from this location. We had a room for 4 people and it was very large and comfortable.

I was not thrilled that the entrance to the K8 rooms is right next to the door of a betting center. We had no problems, but there were always people lingering by the door and smoking and it felt strange at night. Once, some people who were standing outside came inside when we used our keys to unlock the door and we felt uncomfortable. Not sure how this could be changed, except if the hotel eventually acquired the whole building and installed a second receptionist. The location of the hotel is close to the Hauptbahnhof area, which in most European cities is an area that has somewhat seedy businesses, but it was not troublesome and we actually never felt unsafe at all.

Loved their breakfast buffet! There was so much to choose from: eggs (scrambled and boiled), cheese (all sorts), vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers), amazing bread, spreads, cereal (different types), cakes, juices - even freshly squeezed and obviously different types of coffee and tea. Loved the fact that they had a kettle in the room. Room was spacious for 2 people, very clean, exactly as depicted in the pictures. Even if we said there was no need to clean the room the next day (we stayed for 2 nights), the cleaning staff left us a tray outside the door with fresh towels, soap and toilet paper in case we needed (which we didn't, had everything in the room), but I loved the thoughtfulness. In addition, we came 2 hours earlier than check-in time and they let us have the room earlier which was great! Finally, it rained on the 2nd day and they lent us an umbrella, so there was no need to go buy one. Basically, they really make a good effort for the hotel guests to be happy :) Regarding the location, we love walking so didn't mind walking around 20 minutes to the center. At least it was close to the train station (3 minute walk) so that was actually an advantage!

The only thing I didn't like is that the pillows were too soft, would have liked a plumper pillow :)

I was looking for a place that was close to the public transit and train station in Salzburg and found this place. It was perfect, the room was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, I think it was a little pricey for what you got. You could easily get to all the top attractions from this hotel with public transit. It's also close to the major train station in Salzburg. I would stay again if I visit Salzburg in the future.

I think the breakfast was expensive for what you got. They did have a good selection, but you're paying a pretty penny for it. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food locations close by so I recommend visiting those.

This hotel has extremely friendly and helpful staff, the rooms were so spacious, and so clean. We opted out of room cleaning the one morning, so the staff left a basket of fresh towels and toiletries which was so kind and unexpected! They also serve beer until late which was nice to come back from a busy day and enjoy a beer in their cozy seating area

The only downfall for us was that we are backpacking so we wanted to spend a lot of time in the city Center and it was a 27 minute walk to get to the main Center, but it was also nice because it is 5 minutes from the train station, so we didn’t have to walk so far with our backpacks and it wasn’t a rush to get to our next train when we were leaving.
