Great Eastern Motor Lodge

Clean room with good facilities and great staff and central location with good access to public transport….bus stop right out the front. We have stayed here multiple times.

Some of the other guests were very disruptive, to be fair it was school holidays. Kids running around at all hours of the night one night and then sounded like a family domestic argument the next. Walls didn’t really provide much noise reduction.

I liked the rooms and sitting room windows, having a balcony. There are also washing machines on each level, I didn't realise until we were leaving. They provide a decent cot for a cheap price. Elevator access and ramps to make it easier for families with young children.

The room above must have been practising for a marching band because there was constant thumping from 5:30pm until 11:30pm. This is not the hotel's fault of course but perhaps the flooring might be improved a little to dampen out noise for those who want to sleep lol There was only one aircon unit, the whole family slept in living room because the 2 bedrooms did not cool down much throughout the night.

Ideal for last stop before leaving for the airport. Free shuttle bus which is why I chose this motel. Staff very friendly and helpful, let us have a late check out 11am. Room very spacious and kitchenette area well stocked. Beds very comfy. Clean room Although on the main highway traffic noise was not that bad, heard more from planes taking off/landing than the traffic. Noise not enough to keep us awake.

No restaurant on site. Not many sit down eateries within walking distance, plenty of fast food places. Flag Motor Lodge sister site had a restaurant, about 8 minute walk up the road.

Easy to get to Optus Sadium by public bus or Uber (if using uber at an event it is easier to get a train from stadium to Burswood station which is one stop as roads are closed, then Uber to motor lodge). Free shuttle to and from airport M- F which saves money. There is no hairdryer or iron/ironing board in each room so just have to ask at reception. Just out of the city centre but the cheaper price makes up for that and an Uber ride gets you to the city centre easily. Breakfast delivered on time to rooms. Staff helpful and friendly.

Nice and easy location near Perth CBD. The rooms are spacious and tidy, though there was some stray hairs or after a turn down service you can tell some things weren't wiped down. Parking was easy and plenty off it and was nice that it is free as we travel from very far so we had to take the car with us.

It's not the end of the world but maybe before guest arrive when they clean the room they double check and wipe down all surfaces to make sure there aren't stray hairs or nail clippings, other than that the stay was great.

The room was easily accessible, we found a car park and the bed was very comfortable. The layout of the room was good and the curtains to the outside were lovely and blocked all the light coming in from that side of the room. Carpet was very clean as was the shower and toilet area.

We stayed for two nights so could have done with 2 ctns milk as we only had one, a few more tea bags, spare towel and bath mat. Bright lights were left on all night outside on the other side of our room and shone through the louvered blind making sleeping not so good. We also thought we may have been able to find food for the evening meal but had to walk to nearby shopping centre but the quality of food there and the walk was not ideal. There was obviously old paperwork in the room saying there was a restaurant at Great Eastern Motor Lodge but this was not the case! Would have been great! The fabric on some of the chairs could have been cleaner.

Great affordable and comfortable home away from home, offering shuttle bus to airport and very helpful staff. Rooms had kitchenette allowing us to take a break from dining out.

Bit noisy with the traffic near the front, got used to it after a night. Oddly there was no hand towel or face flannels supplied with other bathroom linen, nor could I find spare blankets. Windows could do with a clean.

Pool view, close to carpark, laundry, reception. Nice big bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. Very impressed at the honesty of the staff as I left something there (worth approx $60) and when I rang they had it at reception for me.

You could hear noisy people above us (sounded like they were jumping up and down and banging things at all hours of the night. No body wash and shampoo not good - didn't even go into a lather

Room was nice and clean, noise from outside of room was reasonably suppressed. Staff were polite and helpful, and the location suited my needs. Grounds were tidy from what I saw of them, although I did not get a chance to explore around the hotel. There was a reasonable amount of parking available.

The lift was broken while I was there which made getting heavy bags to the room difficult. Although there was a fair number of car park spots available, they were small which does not suit larger vehicles like 4WDs. The other thing that bothered me, was that if you wanted the WIFI password, you had to contact reception rather than it automatically being provided.

When we arrived we were early but our room was ready so we could check in early which was great. The room was clean and tidy. Our room had a little balcony which over looked the pool area which was also nice. Our room was tucked away which was nice as well because you didn't feel that you were exposed to everyone especially when we were out on the balcony.

When we arrived in our room the shower was leaking. At first we thought the taps had not been turned off properly but realised that the washers needed replacing. I phoned to reception to advise them and they sent a serviceman up straight away to fix the taps in the shower. He was able to fix the shower and we were able to stay in our room without having to move.
