Mantra on Hay Perth

We booked a two bedroom/ one bathroom apartment as our son was travelling with us. The apartment was very spacious and contained all we required. A large living area is included. Very good value! We knew it would be a little 'tired' but everything was functional and clean. All staff were polite and friendly. The location is good with cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. There is a Red Cat bus nearby which we used to travel to the city and train station for free. The hotel is quiet and we enjoyed a hassle free stay. Happy to book again!

the location is perfect! plenty of car rental options and halal food nearby. quiet room for a rest-well night sleep. room facilities are in order - the dryer, dishwahsher, microwave, fridge, kitchen, etc! walking distance to Hay Street Mall. public bus is accessible, juat hop on and off. we can drop the luggage early before check-in. staff was very helpful, she provided us the city map and guided us with the bus route, and on our last day she helped us booked an airport taxi via an app that was not very user-friendly to tourist, due to the details required for local OZ phone number.

I loved that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment when we had paid for a one bedroom, it made our weekend. I had travelled down from Geraldton to celebrate my birthday and you guys made it very worth it!

The lifts were hit and miss but we had no issue with them personally, a few people got stuck in the middle elevator and emergency services came which made it stressful for staff and guests trying to get up and down, all was sorted in a timely professional manner. Our tv screen was damaged (please see photo attached) but still worked fine I was able to still watch a movie so I was happy.

It was clean, the room was comfortable, a double room with two bathrooms and in a good location. Good buffet breakfast at the restaurant.we had takeout food for dinner so can’t comment on the appliances, but it had them all. We were there for an event at Optus Stadium, we caught an Uber there, a 10 minute ride, and walked back across the bridge after the event,about a 20 minute walk. Was 5 minutes away from the Perth mint so we squeezed in a tour of that. Convenience store on the next block. And the Quay another couple of blocks down.

Room had everything we needed including washer and dryer. Having a functioning kitchen was great with the kids. Reception was really friendly and helpful by allowing us to check in early, book a cab to the airport to leave and just in general,

The bathrooms we adequate but are definitely due a refresh, they were quite water stained and tired looking. There was no soap in the dispenser in the ensuite shower. The rooms are hallways had a musty smell which I think is due to a lack of ventilation.

Staff were very helpful and always smiling. Location was excellent, near Optus stadium, the river and city, plus free buses. Design of room was great, very home from home.

Dusty lampshades, some lights/switxhes did not work. Not easy to get correct temperature in shower and temperature fluctuated. Metal bottle rack in shower is not a good idea, shower a bit small and knocked my elbow on it, this jarred my shoulder which is still sore after 5 days. A clothes rack would have been good as I do not usually tumble dry my washing, plus some cannot be tumble dried.

The apartment was spacious and contained most things one would expect to be provided. Also a good location with only a short walk into the CBD.

Unfortunately the dryer wasn't working and the plug was too small in the bath therefore the water just drained out. Also a small container of milk would have been appreciated which most hotels do supply. The bathrooms are in a serious need for renovations. The onsite parking is way too expensive.

Front of house staff were excellent. The location was good. The layout of the accommodation was very comfortable and it just made our stay so much better than what was offered by our travel agent. We loved the Red Cat but it would be advantageous for clients to be offered the map when booking in.

Cleanliness could be improved as there was no consistent vacuuming of rooms. Toilet bowls were not cleaned regularly nor was there a toilet brush to allow us to address the issue. The swimming pool needs cleaning and an upgrade. Although the breakfast menu was acceptable, the menu for the evening meal was very limited.

Bed is very comfy, 1bed appartment layout was nice, great to have a bath, also laundry. Has comfortable seating. Nice to be supplied laundry soap and detergent. Bathroom soap dispensers in shower and at sink are plentyful and smell nice. Its a cozy little apparyment. I do have some things i dont like but overall i will very much stay again.

Furniture is becoming aged and a dated as with bathroom tiling. Light placement in bathroom used as decoration is not ideal for 2 people trying to use mirror, the bathroom has 3 lights in total and is fairly light but this light almost seems useless in its position and in my experience on this stay, it became rather annoying. Shower in bath is small with the internal shelf and the supplied body and hair soap dispenser, you can step back to allow more space but water then goes outside onto the floor. I felt like there should be a rubber matt for the bathtub for showers. There is no hand rail to enter or exit the bath/shower so caution must be taken with the water getting onto the floor duing your shower.
