Eight Spence

The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely set up. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. And easy book in and check out. Beds are comfy, spa was amazing (just took time to full up, so don't want to get in the spa in a hurry lol. Overall had a great time

My only real issue was the lighting in the room. - The blinds on the windows let in to much sun through the edge of the windows this made it hard to have a a afternoon nap or to sleep in the next morning. And a must remember to shut bathroom door or sun light will come in there also. - and just unsure about the lights in the bathroom, dunno if it was just my lack of having to do it lately or the lights made it very hard to apply make up as it was hard to tell if I was applying evenly or not. Ended up taking it off as was unsatisfied.

The motel exceeded my expectations as it was such a reasonable cost. It was within walking distance of the main shopping strip in Warrnambool which included restaurants, pubs and fast food. The room was a lovely size, also the bathroom. Unlike other motels I have stayed in Eight Spence was accomodating for making a light meal with basic plates ect and cutlery. A microwave and kettle and toaster. Perfect for an overnight stay. Absolutely everything was meticulously clean . The hosts were very friendly with a warm greeting on arrival.

We loved Eight Spence! So unassuming from the outside. Once in the room: spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows, terrific little kitchenette with everything we could need, all super clean, lots of chairs to sit, just a really lovely accommodation. And, the proprietor was incredibly lovely, made sure everything was in proper working order for us (e.g. even helped us navigate to find the station we were hunting for on the telly). Just really appreciated this great stay. Free parking in their lot. There is washer / dryer available on premises, but we didn't utilize. Overall, highly recommend!

We got the king suite with spa and we were impressed overall. Staff were very friendly, rooms were immaculate. My partner and i thought its the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. For $210 a night for that room we were very happy customers. Overall we are very pleased with our stay, wouldn't hesitate to book a room again next time!

The only thing we would change is the lighting. The bathroom had no mood lighting which would be great for couples in the spa, or even for yourself to set up a relaxing atmosphere and the lamps next to the bed made the room feel like we were in a hospital. This was hardly a problem though!

I have already written a Google review for Eight Spence. The room was comfortable and very clean. We missed Matt's(Host) SMS (discovered that later), but he didn't mind repeating everything. Very amiable host. Central location. Walking distance to Macey's Bistro for our second nights dinner. I don't think there was a wifi connection(if there was it wasn't mentioned, maybe they could look into that), so internet was slow, it didn't matter for us, but, it may for others. Not going to spoil a lovely stay by whinging. Thank you Matt and Tam.

Tamara owner and on reception was always smiling and very welcoming on check in and every time I asked her a query. Cleaning staff are very friendly too. Everything worked very well and all was very clean. There was also a microwave, cutlery and crockery which came in handy for my stay. The bed was very comfortable. It is probably the best hotel that I have stayed at in Warrnambool and it is a short walk to town and the other way to the wonderful Warrnambool Botanic Gardens and Aqua zone pool and gym which I always go to in Warrnambool. Thank you Tamara for a great stay.

It needs a toilet brush near the toilet. The area at the front of reception has a few small weeds, so I suggest these be removed and that some native plants and coloured flowers be planted there to welcome the visitors to the hotel.

The moment I stepped in to the room I was impressed with the cleanliness and general feel of the property. The white walls make the room spacious and it’s matching the bed linens and everything just feels nice and comfortable. It feels really good to be able to walk on the floor and carpet barefoot.

There is a gap in the main blind/curtain next to the door which is not providing proper privacy at night when the lights are on. The small single bed is quite visible from the outside so we had to wrap a towel on the side of the curtain to close the gap. The heater is a bit noisy when it runs every time for about 10-15 seconds.

The room was tidy and had everything we needed. We were welcomed at the office. I've stayed here twice and the first time, they were so lovely and even made sure the room was heated when I arrived late.

Honestly, hard to fault. If I'm stretching to find something, the shower taps were quite low (even for me, 5'2) and there was a light outside our window that was on until late that I wasn't able to turn off.

The hotel is a transfer hotel for driving back to Melbourne on Ocean Road, with convenient transportation. It is close to the center and is close to gas stations, supermarkets, McDonald's, KFC... The transportation is very convenient! Employees are enthusiastic and helpful! Self service check-in, the room is relatively large, clean and hygienic, the bed is comfortable, the shower is very comfortable, and the accommodation experience is great!

Nice

King bed very comfortable. Nice size room, lovely linen and room fitted out with microwave, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Very quiet, no traffic noise, convenient to all attractions, restaurants & shops.

Parking was a bit squeezy. Went to the night attraction at the museum and when returned around 10.00pm there was no onsite parking and had to park on the street.
