RACV Goldfields Resort

Warm friendly staff attended to us. So welcoming make you feel good. Check-in was quick. Nice spacious room with comfy bed, coffee and tea provided with the electrical kettle. TV even have a welcome note with my name, that was cool. Let me tell you about their wonderful breakfast buffet. They have rolls, muffins, croissant and bread, variety of jams and spread, local fruits peaches, watermelon, banana, pineapple. Variety of cereals, juices, coffee and tea. Baked beans, scrambled eggs, sausages, noodles, baked tomatoes. Eat as much as you want. Free parking and Free Wifi

Beautiful property. A few minutes drive from Creswick, 15 minute drive to Ballarat. Golf (my 3yr old loved having a putt for the first time - everyday), playground, swimming pool (must say for a big resort a bigger pool or another pool would be great). 2 restaurants on site - restaurant very good and the bar had standard bar type food. We had a wonderful 3night stay in a premium room overlooking the golf course (saw kangaroos every night). Staff were wonderful.

Nothing. We had a wonderful time. If I had to comment then a bigger outdoor pool or another outdoor pool with a waterslide would be an added bonus. The size of the current pool is too small for the size of the resort especially when it’s fully booked during summer. With a young child we prefer to book places for 7-10 nights but as this resort has no laundry facilities then I would only book a short stay 2-3nights.

After a long drive it was great to finally arrive. The hotel was in a beautiful area. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a quick check-in. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and our room was also clean and spacious. It was lovely to have a choice of restaurants at the hotel so we didn't have to go and find somewhere to eat. Considering the size of the hotel, our room was quiet. The WiFi was good.

The bed and pillows were too soft. The shower cubicle in our room was very small, and there was nowhere to put our own toiletries, shampoos/shower gels etc. However, the shower was powerful and hot.

Very clean and comfortable room with a small balcony for some fresh air. The pool and spa really hit the spot after 2 very busy weeks and lots of traveling. It was a really comfortable and plush room and we wish we could have stayed longer. We ate at the casual restaurant which was fantastic.

The resort was a little further out of town than I expected but this turned out to be an advantage. Beautiful quiet location and there were fantastic eating options available so it didn't matter. The large shower head was amazing but it felt like it was in the wrong position to get into the shower. Really minor problem though.

There were so many activities for my family. From the pool, to the playground, play room, movie night, kids buffet at the Three founders and much more, as a family, we were so happy at this resort and sad to leave

The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the tiny bathroom with the toilet being in the way of getting in and out of the shower and that super deep bath to step out of, that was quite dangerous and my husband had to help me step out of the bath because the first night I almost fell over. If that bathroom was renovated, it would be perfect👌

What an amazing resort. Every thing you could need or want especially if you have children. Pool, playground, play room, really nice walking tracks to see Kangaroos and wildlife, even a fairy garden. Room was lovely and spacious, quality in furnishings and bedding. Great selection of teas in room. 10 minutes to Ballarat. Staff friendly and helpful.

The only thing i can say here is that the room didn’t have any plates, only coffee cups and wine glasses. A couple of small plates would be handy, but a very minor detail.

Room and facilities were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Never stayed at RACV before and was expecting a more clinical corporate old man golf set type of place but was beautifully surprised. Loved the grounds

I didn't like the toast machine at breakfast because the setting was fixed and it only lightly warmed the bread and did not toast it. Had to put it through 3 times and wait better part of 6 minutes. Also PLEASE have a proper barista to make coffee. The machine coffee is god awful and the queue was a 15MINUTE wait. It really wasn't worth the wait. At least should have 2 machines but get better machines but preferable have a barista whereby you can order a real coffee . Lastly, whomever designed layout could have made better access to pool instead of weird walkaround the building or through restaurant

Breakfast was not always hot however, understand the difficulty when catering for multiple guests Pillows were too soft however, we overcame that by purchasing pillows to suit us - and left them for you.

We were there for a basketball tournament in Ballarat and only had limited down time. We did however enjoy a good family morning on the golf course. Sitting on the balcony later afternoon overlooking the Gold course was very pleasant.

The staff were friendly and greeted everyone upon arrival. The rooms were clean and spacious with modern facilities all round. There was a generous supply of sample conditioners, soaps, and towels. The TV was already on upon arrival, which displayed a welcome screen along with my name which was very welcoming. There were swimming pools, fast free wi-fi, gyms, theatres, game rooms, restaurants and bars. Cost effective for families as there's plenty to do. Restaurant and bar was above average.

I felt the tile floors to be cold, especially during the time of year I went. I wish there were slippers provided. At the price I paid, I really wish this was included. I also felt the travel to this hotel to be a bit far from Ballarat central, which was a bit of an inconvenience. It was roughly 15 minutes away, and there isn't much nearby which made restaurant options pretty limited. I felt that hotels were priced similarly in the central area, but ultimately chose this resort because of what the hotel included that others did not. If you only need a place to stay for the night, you can probably find more cost effective options closer to the central area.

nice environment setting. very clean orderly and well maintained, staff were exceptionally helpful. the restaurant had exceptional meals.

the fact that we had booked a room with. bath but upon arrival we’re given a standard room. this was rectified after having to attend the front desk & request for a room change. this should have been fixed at the front desk from beginning. the restaurant Maître d had an un comfortable rule of forcing us to sit where he wanted & not where we would have liked to sit. we felt like an old people’s home the way he lined us all up in one spot when 85% of the places were empty, why couldn’t we spread out. it was most off putting.
