Central location, good communication regarding check-in/check-out and clean, pretty comfortable facilities.

The bed was ok, but not super comfortable. One of the chairs had a split leg, so when my husband sat on it he fell to the floor - we brought it to the attention of one of the cleaners, so hopefully the chair has been replaced now. It was handy to have toiletries provided, but having individual packages rather than a bulk pack/dispenser is not very eco-friendly these days - this was the first time in some time that we have stayed somewhere with individual toiletries provided in plastic packaging.

Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a room, but it turned out to be a suite with a kitchen and all the necessary kitchen tools, such as a toaster, tea packages, a fridge, two TVs (one in the lobby and one in the bedroom), a private spa, and more. The room, towels, bed, and linen were all quite clean. The hotel is well-located in Ballarat and easily accessible, especially at night when you want to have a drink at bars. You can walk to the hotel without concerns about breaking any driving rules. Parking the car in front of the room made it easy to move our belongings in and out. I highly recommend this hotel, and if I plan another trip to Ballarat, I will definitely choose the same hotel for my stay.

The only negative point was the unavailability of breakfast in the hotel, however was not a big deal.

Central location to all Ballarat amenities. Safe and secure parking. Clean, modern, MASSIVE open plan room with super comfy beds and couch and kitchen facilities. Large bathroom - excellent water pressure plus hand bars and a seat inside the shower for people with mobility issues. Friendly and warm customer service at reception desk. We highly recommend The Menzies in Ballarat.. A short not even 10-minute drive to Kryal Castle and less than 10 minutes to Sovereign Hill. A*****

Nothing to dislike. Loved EVERYTHING about The Menzies. It will be our preferred place in Ballarat from here on in. EXCELLENT value for money.

The accommodation is close to the Mall and main street in Ballarat. We were in a family room as it was the only one left for the weekend. It was hug, had Queen bed and single in, a chesterfield lounge, table and chairs, kitchen and huge bathroom. The WIFI was good. Our room had new carpet throughout. Main fault was the bathroom sink didn't drain and we informed the office but nothing was done about it. They are renovating the rooms which was tiling next door and the guy said as we were leaving that our room was next for new bathroom and kitchen so improvements are happening.

The Bathroom sink took a long time to drain but heard renovations happening in this room next week. No hanging space for coat hangers, just a cupboard with shelves. In the laundry the dryer start button had wires out of it, not safe at all. Washing machine needs 3 x $1 and dryer is 2 x $1 in case you need to know.

The room and bathroom was very spacious, very clean and meticulous for interior and room experience. We thought it could housed for more than 5 people. The bed even had electric heating pad. Amenities was varied and it was not some cheap bulk buy, the fragrant left good smell. The TV they had was smart tv, we considered staying in and just enjoy the ambience of the room as also part of important leisure time in our vacation. It was easy to book Uber here and there to points of attraction and city centre. The furthest and nearest point we could have, only costed us as much as 10AUD. At first we even walk from the station to the Inn and took about 15 minutes downhill.

It was a good-sized motel unit that provided everything from a kitchenette to a lounge area and a separate bedroom. The bathroom provided a large bath spa. The spa jets didn't work but the bath was large and luxurious and wonderful to soak in. The unit was impeccably clean. And there was plenty of parking availability. I believe it was extremely good value for the price. But we didn't find it inviting.

There was no motel book providing local information - and we had to ask a neighbor for the internet code as we had arrived after 5pm. The windows looked onto the car park. The location was good, but we didn't realize how good it really was, because there was no information provided in the unit. When we returned the key their reception area which consisted of a room with an office desk was as unwelcoming and as cold as the unit had felt. Before leaving Ballarat we moved into another motel close by and realized the area's potential for a great eating and shopping experience. I think that the energy of the motel needs uplifting. Perhaps more greenery in the car park areas and some staff presence would give it a little more life.

There was an electric blanket on the bed and they'd put it on so that the bed was all nice and snug and delightful and - after the 6.5 hour drive I'd had to get there, I could have kissed them for the hot blanket. Also, we needed one of the bunk beds made up at short notice, and they responded to the request within minutes and brought all the bedding really quickly, which was great.

Having to leave. :( Could happily have stayed several days, but - alas - we were only up there for one night.

Just perfect. I don't know if this company has accommodation all over Australia or the World, but it should! - Very cheap for what you get. 2-story room with a big kitchen, big room + sleeping and amazing bathroom upstairs. - Tiny balcony, but it's better than none. It was a neat surprise! - Check-In + key drop-off was done in like 5 seconds, so you do not lose any time. Even though it was so fast, staff was super friendly. - Super clean, super comfort. - Free parking on the property, McDonalds(150 m)/ Coles/Woolies close by - The perfect choice to stay in Ballarat! 11/10

I didn't like to leave after only one night

The suite is a good size and contains a lounge area, dining area, bathroom with spa and large bedroom with built in. Parking is at your door. Ballarat CBD is a 5 minute walk. Cleaning is available daily.

The blinds in the bedroom and lounge look tired and need to be replaced. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom should also be replaced. The cigarette butt outside my non-smoking room.

The check in process was so easy and instant. Highly efficient guy behind the counter. And the parking and rooms were in mint condition! So well appointed. I stay in a lot of accommodations, and this particular place is outstanding. I can’t speak highly enough about the whole package. Big tick from me for staff and the Building and room. It had a full size fridge and microwave and really spacious and has been refurbished.

No negatives.
