ibis Styles Canberra Tall Trees Hotel

We booked the hotel via Booking.com as we find it comes with the pet friendly tick. Overall the place is easy to find. Room is reasonable clean and quiet at night. We were told on the spot, that the family room cannot have pet, and no other room available. We could not find such information during booking. Then we were disappointed and requested for cancellation. After a while the staff still let us keep the room as it is only for one night, while there will be $60 additional charge for our puppy, which I did not find out during booking. Overall the staff is friendly and help us change another room as the room’s aircon had water leaking.

The aircon had a water leaking issue, and it took some time for someone to come up for checking. At the end the staff let us move to another room.

Room size, free wifi availability and temperature of room was good. Location felt very central to what I needed to do, close to Canberra Central. Very comfortable bed with a selection of different pillows. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom, great hot water and pressure (to wash hair), hairdryer on hand. I requested a level 1 room, which I got, thank you for that! Lots of outdoor parking on the property, I could see my rental car clearly. Cleaning staff took notice of my 'do not disturb', thank you very much! As I don't like having room service, as it reminds me I'm at a hotel, and I just want to go about my business. Lots of local attraction information at hand.

Nothing really. Only thing I found was the safe in the wardrobe wasn't working, but that wasn't too much of a hassle.

Location was close enough to walk to the shops, It was a nice quiet area. The room was clean and you can have breakfast there for a n extra fee

The door was hard to open had to drag it over the carpet. The bathroom was small and no room for our toiletries. Our room was not always tidy and clean when we came back from the shops, which was well after lunch and we had to look out for the cleaner and ask for clean towels and milk. We only had one chair at the desk to have our breakfast and no toasters in the room.

The setting is lovely, location convenient, and rooms spacious. Parking, although sometimes crowded, is right at base of accommodation.

The lights in the hall are never dimmed at night so it comes right through sides, top and large space under door. Need to put towels and bags across the spaces to blacken room so you can sleep. Some rooms also have a light outside the windows which stays on all night and comes through the curtains. They really need to install some dimmers or turn off half the lights.

Very convenient location close to work and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful. The bed was comfortable and clean. The cleaners did an amazing job of making up the room. Easy parking. Nice leafy setting and option to open window for fresh air. Had everything necessary for a comfortable stay.

Small amount of mould above shower. Slight smell of smoke occasionally from other guests (not really a problem though as can close window and use aircon).

The location was great, close to shops, the tram, and local attractions. We booked 2 rooms, which were located close to each other, and were able to accommodate our large family. Beds were comfortable, and each room had a reverse cycle air conditioner to assist with keeping the rooms at a comfortable temperature.

Noise from other guests was very audible, especially at night while trying to sleep. Other guests children were running up and down the halls late at night, yelling and screaming, even after we asked them to keep their noise down so other guests could sleep.

The hotel is located in the suburb of Ainslie, within walking distance of the Ainslie shops (IGA supermarket plus cafes, etc.). That means the hotel is in a nice suburb of Canberra but it is not central Canberra. The hotel is also an easy walk of the Ainslie footy club, which allows access for interstate guests. It takes 20 minute to walk tot the light rail if you do't want to take the bus. This is a basic three star hotels that knows its purpose and does it well. My room was spotless and their is plenty of street car parking. I was in town not for work, so I left my car at the hotel and used buses to get around Canberra. There is a bus stop 5 minutes from the hotel. My room had air conditioning, which was very necessary. The hotel was quiet the night I stayed. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. The WiFi was more than adequate and up for the task. I would happily stay here again.

The WiFi was hopeless. I tried many times but always had to connect to the internet via my Mobile phone Staff reported the problem but it was never fixed I had to use the internet every day to maintain my business while away and was very annoyed the promised WiFi didnt work I would like a refund or credit as compensation for the promised WiFi not being provided. $20 per day seems fair

Location was great close to everything, we got to see lots. The facilities in the bathroom was a bonus. It was Great that while we were out our beds got made & more toilet paper replaced without asking. Plenty of parking spaces. Beds & pillows were comfy.

Just not very roomy to relax & walk around the room. I guess it's the price we pay. You can't spend to much time inside as you can only sit on beds. The sink in the bathroom is to small for the tap water went all over the floor.

it has all the amenties including TV, fridge (with milk which is a huge bonus) a kettle with packets of sugar, tea and coffee. bed and pillows were very nice and comfy. very nice shower. plenty of fast wifi included. air conditioner was very good. for those driving there there is plenty of car parks, otherwise there are lots of buses that stop a short walk to hotel.

unfortunately the toilet in my room was making constant noise. but other than that, no major issues.
