The location of Abode Gungahlin is very convenient. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the light rail terminal and big shopping mall. We arrived at Sydney airport and caught the coach to Canberra. The coach bus station is right next to the light rail terminal so we took the light rail to Abode Gungahlin. Therefore, there is no need to rent a car. We felt like we were at home. They provide milk, coffee and tea. They also provide washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and coffee maker. We were there for a month so the above mentioned household equipment was necessary for us. They also offer dish washing detergent, laundry detergent and dishwasher powder. The household equipment is in good condition and easy to operate. The staffs are friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at Abode Gungahlin again.

The hot water for the bathroom basin was not steady.

The location was excellent for our needs at the time of our visit to Canberra. The staff were very pleasant. The room and the facilities are great . The car park was great easy access to motel and shops. The bed was vey comfortable, air conditioning was pleasant and worked well. the room was very quiet there was no outside noise coming through. The motel is close to restaurants and the pantry which you provide is wonderful.

I would like to have had written instructions for the coffee machine and the dishwasher as I do not know how they work. you should not assume everybody knows how to use the equipment.

Always clean and neat

I ordered a disabled room because I’m in a wheelchair- note this is more expensive which is a bit unfair on disabled people. On the day before check in they call and ask is it ok if I have a normal room because of maintenance, I said no, because I’m in a wheelchair and paid extra. They said ok. When I checked in both room key cards did not open the room door, so I went back to reception. They acted like I’m an idiot: either I tried the wrong room or can’t operate a key card. Eyes rolling back in their head. They gave me new keys so all good. On a side note, none of the coffee making equipment can be reached from a wheelchair:(

Clean, great value, bed was really comfortable! Very clean and everything you could need was supplied including pots and pans for Cooktop, inbuilt dishwasher, washer dryer! And casting to room t.v's and the room service banana thickshakes were amazing 👏 (Rememeber to bring your pets bed)

Was a little set back by multiple staff members reacting very obviously frightened / upset, towards our large breed dog, who is a gental giant and hardly ferocious looking by ducking behind counters, gasping etc. But all in all staff were lovley Was a little off putting for a dog friendly hotel. Also encounted a very dramatic guest who carried on like a pork chop when we passed her and husband in the hall, yelling about her fear of dogs.. I would suggest not staying in pet friendly hotels for anyone feeling the same.

The location and the room .. cleanliness .. courtesy of staff at reception especially .

One day ( whole day) our room had not been done .. a Sunday … one towel left on room instead of 2 bins emptied nothing else .. 2 coffee cups to be washed of the morning . No housekeeping staff on duty so when we discovered room had not been cleaned ( despite having put the sign outside )nothing cud be done to assist us . We felt let down n frustrated …

Well designed rooms and lots of light. Everything you needed appliance wise including a washing machine/dryer in the bathroom. Surprisingly quiet despite main road location. Lounge and kitchen area at roadside end and a wall between there and bedroom kept the noise down considerably. Good food options within walking distance (or fast food just at the back) Adequate free parking. Extra towels/toiletries/tea, sugar, coffee available in the reception area. $10 pantry voucher on arrival. Pantry for bits and pieces without having to go out was a good idea. Free wi-fi. TV in lounge and bedroom. Friendly, helpful staff. (Reception and housekeeping) Really comfy beds and pillows!

Carpets were grotty. Couch looked like someone sat on it in a wet towel. No outdoor furniture on balcony was a bit disappointing as we stayed 2 nights. It would have been nice to sit outside.

Friendly, clean, close to shops, restaurants, access to additional toiletries

Not really a dislike but found it odd that after six days of our 7 day stay the sheets, towels, etc were changed. We didn’t request a clean but if this was going to happen it would have been better done half way through our stay not the day before we were checking out when it would have to be done again.

I liked that hotel was in close proximity to where my son lives. If I wanted to I could have walked to his place. It had all the amenities I wanted and more. The shopping prescient of Gungahlin was so close I was there in just minutes to shop. The bed, linen and pillows were so comfortable. A lovely outlook to the street was refreshing to look out onto with the trees and hedge, being a gardener was lovely to see. The staff I saw were polite and engaging. When I asked for more coffee sachets there was no problems of replacing them for me. Parking was adequate and on site. Easy instructions on using the keys to enter later at night. Tram was not far from where I was staying easy to get on and go into the city of Canberra. Wonderful eating areas close to the hotel.

There was one thing, and that was the hallway was needing a new paint job. Loved the hotel and its position in the township of Gungahlin.

We found the location excellent for local shopping, eateries, etc.. We used the tram service every day saving a lot of driving and parking fees. The tram stopped in the heart of Canberra and returning home Gungahlin was the last stop, so very easy and a 5-10 minute walk back to the apartment.

Cleaning was average. Also the kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware was adequate but clearly some items missing. A kitchen was important in our decision to stay, but found a frypan and a saucepan just enough. Knives were blunt

The size of the room was exceptional. The bed was comfortable and there's plenty of parking Close proximity to the centre of Gungahlin

The freezer was broken. The lighting in the bathroom is poor. No instructions for the microwave or dishwasher. There's no phone in the room to call reception. It's noisy .. the walls and windows must be paper-thin The bathroom is cramped.
