Mercury Phu Quoc Resort & Villas

Villa rooms were a good size, clean and everything worked well. Pool was nice and right on the beach. The staff were very friendly!

As it was a bit further away from places we ended up eating mostly in the resort. Lunch & Dinner can sometimes be very slow. At times we waited up to an hour for food. Leaf blowing outside of villas @7:30am was not ideal when trying to have a relaxing holiday.

Fabulous place. We were upgraded to sea view. The room overlooked the pool and sea. Staff were unbelievably cheerful friendly and helpful. There were lots of nice touches for free - airport transfers, drink and fresh fruit on check in, afternoon tea and biccies, cold water available on the bar during the heat of the day, paddleboards, kayaks on the beach available for use. The pool is large and warm with the bar at one end with stools just under water. Lovely sandy beach.

The music was too loud most of the time. There was a slight hitch on arrival. We came by ferry and they arranged transport for us but the driven wasn't carrying the promised card with our name so it took ages to find him. Not the hotel's fault and they said they would talk to the driver. The sea water had lots of suspended sediments so was clean, but not clear.

Facilities need to pay more attention. They have gym and pool but did not available to use

We had a villa with a private pool with an ocean view, it was spacious and kept clean daily. We enjoyed nightly sunsets and the easy access to the main pool, restaurant and beach. We like the kayaks that are available for use and that the pool has shallow sections for kids. The resort staff were accommodating as they allowed us to move to a different suite with a better view when it came available.

The older suites are getting run down, we were in two suites for parts of our stay and they both had electrical issues where lights or power outlets didn't work. One suite had unsightly repairs to the flooring. The resort entrance has a lot of construction underway with new villas which is unsightly with construction garbage around. We didn't like the 30% surcharge for room service and that the western menu was not available, we stayed for 10 days so the small menu left us with few choices.

The pool area was good with big, comfortable beds and an amazing view of the sea. Very clean pool and friendly bar staff. Accommodation was spacious and clean. High ceilings. Gardens well maintained.

Quite a remote area and no where to walk to. Beach not particularly clean (bits of plastic everywhere) and water not clear. It was extremely quiet at the hotel in October. Little atmosphere.

The breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of different things to try and very fresh. The restaurant had always very good food as well! We loved the bed it was comfy and big. The staff was very nice and helpful and we enjoyed the spa.

The airport was very close but not as loud as expected. The area around the hotel was more quiet and you needed to take a taxi or a shuttel to go somewhere. But that can be positiv as well, depens what you like.

it was a little out from the town if you were looking for nightlife , we weren’t so it didn’t bother us . there is a courtesy bus during the day

The staff are exceptional, always a smile and very helpful. The pool is clean and large. The gym is well stocked. The location is very good, not too far from the local town but still quiet. The beach is clean with soft sand and free kayaks available.

The only complaint is there was no English channels on the TV. But we had ample WiFi to watch our iPads!

All staff were super friendly and helpful. The beach was gorgeous, clean and always had beds available. The breakfast was good and had a good range of food. The pool is great too and very beautiful looking out onto the beach.

Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean, a really good size with good size bed. Pools are clean and family friendly and the beach is well maintained with a good amount of lounge areas.

Bit far from the centre town so takes a while to get their. But to be fair the resort has all the facilities you need.
