Mai Phuong Resort Phu Quoc

Staff were great. Breakfast was great (but no sliced bread to have with eggs) location was very good close to zoo and theme parks. Motorbike rental was cheap and convenient. Room by the beach was amazing. Perfect view. Dinner and lunch at the restaurant was yummy. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

The beds are hard as a rock. Ive come to get used to this in Vietnam but for some a hard bed just means an uncomfortable night sleep... for others it means excruciating back pain the next morning. I'm the latter. And these beds were harder than the average hard bed in Vietnam. The 10 minute drive down to the hotel from the main road is littered with pot holes. Be careful driving it on a motorbike especially at night.

Room was large and modern, the pool was good and the staff were helpful. Hotel has cheap motorbike rental at 200k VND a day . The hotel is really near Vin Grand World ( 5-10 minute away by taxi/motorbike). There were also quite a few vegetarian options on the menu .

The private beach was relatively small however, we used the pool because it is right next to the beach. Not the hotels fault but some of the guests were hogging the sunbeds by leaving their towels and stuff on them and leaving for many hours, so other people could not use them . It can take a while to get a grab out of the hotel because of the location but the hotel did call us a taxi to the airport when grab was unavailable (around 450k VND)

Wonderful location far away from loud and busy maintown. You can rent a motorbike to go around the island, Very nice and helpful staff, many thanks and wishes to Mr. Tomi and the lady's from reception. The room and the area are cleaned every day, also the pretty nice pool and the small beach. Thanks God even the ugly Beton desert from Winwonders a.o. are few kilometers away. We been happy to found Mai Phuong Resort.

The Beds are much to hard. The young boys in the restaurant brought us few times a different dinner as we ordered.

Wonderful swimming pool cleaned constantly. Very tasty breakfast and really really great cooking at the restaurant. Prepare to pay more than in mainland, but that is probably the case across all the resorts on the island.

The beach is not perfect for swimming. It could be done, but not very nice. There is a nice beach about 1 km walk along the shore. Beds are really hard even by Vietnamese standards. We were fine with this. Not much within walking distance, have to hire a bike to get to the shops or street vendors (at least 3 km).

I loved the ocean front location. The staff were lovely! The food was good. There was a free shuttle to Grand World and the staff would help whenever they could.

The tiles around the pool were slippery, I was worried the kids would slip and hurt themselves, they did slip a few times but didn't hurt themselves. The bed was very hard but I got used to it and the bathroom was a little tired. I would still stay there again. Such a good price for what you get.

The place is really amazing, beautiful trees and nice pool, with a private beach. Consider that is pretty isolated, but they rent scooters that you can use. However it can be quite far away 15 minutes by scooter to the nearest village. Staff is super friendly and it is perfect if you want to really relax.

Rooms are ok, I think a bit below on a 4 stars hotel standard. They are a bit old and they would need a bit of a renovation.

This place is located in a peaceful location, right on the beach, inside a magical jungle. In an island that overbuilt it is hard to find a peaceful and nature place, this resort is this place! The staff were incredibly nice and great with kids! The swimming pool was the cleanest that we saw in this island! We had an amazing room right on the sandy beach. The room was very clean and comfy. The fruit shakes were so good! We had a great time and enjoyed every moment, this is a great place to chill out and relax. We rented a scooter and sup from the hotel so it was easy to go and come back. there is a small town with everything that we needed in a 5 min ride.

The bed was not so comfortable and the breakfast was so minimal, not like a 4 stars hotels. Sometimes there is garbage in the sea, but that is a wide problem of this island, it's everywhere. they did cleaned it every day. There are many boats that parks outside of the hotel, they can be sometimes noisy and smelly.

This is a great location, right on the beach and lovely place to relax. The staff are lovely and bungalows comfortable and well looked after. The food is good quality but not exceptional, however great value for money. For a weeks stay, in terms of what you get for your money it is exceptional given the location. You have beautiful views over the bay from the pool area. Staff are also super helpful.

The coffee!! but it maybe down to our European tastes. The rooms were only partially cleaned daily, but it was fine really. The breakfasts were very Asian focussed and they don't cook fresh omlettes or eggs unlike most hotels/resorts we stayed at. However I am being a bit picky as overall an excellent stay.

The resort is very close to Grand World Phu Quoc, very quiet and peaceful, with great decorations. The people working there were super friendly, helpful and attentive, I really liked their banana pancake in breakfast. They also have a "tuk-tuk" to take you to Grand World entrance (free of charge) for you to visit Grand World or take a bus to international airport (free of charge as well).

Breakfast is the same everyday that might make a long-term stay (5 nights was my case) a bit less interesting/enjoyable, the resort could have different menus that they can replace every day or 2.

Pool was great. Rooms very nice. It was a nice stay.

Communication was hard so ordering meals was hard and often missed or wrong.
