Golden Moon Suite Hotel

From the moment I checked in, till the moment I checked out, everything was well taken care of! The room was very comfortable, clean and cozy. I love hot showers, there was hot water at all times and fast Wi-Fi was available at all times on all floors. The breakfast was scrumptious, you must try their crêpes, they’re fantastic! Their laundry service is very nice, I had all my clothes washed and returned smelling so fresh and good! The hotel is located in the heart of the Old Quarter so everything you need is all walkable from the hotel. Lastly, I would like to give a huge shoutout to the amazing front office staff, Lily, Sophie, Katherine & Ken who looked after me (a solo traveler) like I was family and made sure I was comfortable at all times. All in all, I had a really good time in Hanoi and definitely recommend booking this place. See you again Hanoi, until next time! ❤️

The hotel is in the dead center of the old quarter in Hanoi, so if you are hungry or want to do a walking tour it will probably close by. Even though the street to access the hotel (or rather streets) is very small, we had a transfer for a day tour pick us up at the door without issue. Room is clean, we heard only a little noise, but most restaurants close at 10, so there was no issue to sleep. Air conditioning was also top (and necessary!). Staff was so kind, they gave us book recommendations and all about Vietnam! All of them spoke an exceptional English! So quality-price was good. Maybe outdated furniture and all but what else do you need? Perfect for a Hanoi centric tourist visit.

Could have had a little less noise, but it wasn't too much and after 22h00 most things close on the street. It's the price you pay to be able to cross a 3m street and eat a great Bun Cha, in the dead center of Hanoi Old Quarter.

Our stay at the Golden Moon was absolutely amazing. The staff was what made our stay so memorable. The staff always went above and beyond and helped us with everything we could’ve needed. Booking tours to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Bình was extremely easy to do through the hotel and very affordable compared to rates outside and online. I was so glad I didn’t have to worry about planning everything, the hotel did it all for us. The location is right in the middle of Old Quarter so we were able to walk to everything. I will ONLY be staying at the Golden Moon whenever I come back to Hanoi. I cannot recommend them enough!

There was nothing I didn’t like. The rooms were very affordable and clean. Not the most modern or luxurious but for the price it was great.

Our stay at Golden Moon Suite Hotel was great, the room was nice with a good working air conditioning (very useful during the humid vietnamese summers). The breakfast was very good, with a large offer of fresh fruit every morning and super tasty dishes, like crepes and pancakes, that you could order. I also need to mention the great staff working there: they gave us great suggestions about what to see in the city and also booked for us a free walking tour with a local guide. They also allowed us to leave our bags there three days after our checkout, since we had a few spare hours in Hanoi and we needed a place to leave the luggage, without asking for an extra fee. I definitely recommend staying here.

Golden Moon was perfect! The staff were beyond lovely, the location was 10/10, the hotel itself was lovely. We especially loved the view from the balcony rooms and the gorgeous top floor breakfast area. The rooms were sweet, suited us perfectly, fairly modest but lovely. Breakfast was delicious (free cooked breakfast plus buffet!) and the staff were extremely helpful - they went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed help with whilst in Hanoi. The refreshments on arrival were the cherry on top. We’ve already booked to go back again on an upcoming stopover in Hanoi. Thank you Golden Moon, see you soon!

- the trip we booked through the hotel was amazing - lily at reception was amazing! really helpful and approachable as-well as speaking great english - room was big and clean - other staff were really friendly too however couldn’t speak much english but that is okay as we don’t speak any Vietnamese - great value for money - great location

- the tv had no foreign channels e.g english speaking and all the remote buttons are rubbed off so unable to work it really - taxi driver organised by the hotel was incredibly rude and intimidating ( if a flight arrives at 9pm you must allow time for the guest to leave the airport - a minimum of an hour if not longer as it isn’t in the guests control of there are long waiting times - room was quite noisy - people coming in late banging around trying to get into their room - shower head was broken / lamp was really dirty

I had a wonderful 3 night stay at Golden Moon. The facilities, staff, location, and breakfast were some of the best during my 3 week stay in Vietnam. The moment I walked in I was warmly welcomed and helped to get my baggage through the door. The receptionist Kathy was awesome, she gave me a detailed map of Hanoi and recommended me places to visit even local cuisine to eat based on my travelling preferences. The staff was wonderful, all very attentive and warm. I got lucky and the staff was kind enough to upgrade my room to a family room for my stay. My bedroom was clean and spacious and my bed was very comfy, I went straight to sleep. The morning breakfast was a surprise because not only do you get the typical breakfast buffet options you also get to order one item from the a la carte menu (pancakes, omelet, egg sandwich, for example) for free! The location was great. It's in an alleyway right off the main road that makes it easy to get to the opposite side of the block without crossing the street and very much within walking distance of the night market.

Location was fabulous and staff was extremely helpful with excellent English. Breakfast was great with a selection off the menu cooked specifically for you and some fresh fruit and pastries. Room was nothing special but you spend little time in your room- the bed was very comfy, there was cable TV, a balcony, a fridge and some waters and soft drinks. My only complaint was the bathroom. While it wasn't bad, I had difficulty getting water to transfer from the faucet to the shower head and water spewed out onto the bathroom floor but all in all it was fine!..... first world problems really!!!

Bathroom shower head needs repairing to make it easier to use.

I went on a tour to Ha Giang for a couple days and was able to store my luggage on their luggage rack for free. I felt safe putting my luggage here compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in Vietnam because they tag the luggage with my information and there is always someone in the lobby. I stayed here earlier in the week for a handful of days and everytime I walked through the lobby there was always a staff member within eyeshot of the luggage. Loved the breakfast and the included a la carte items! My room was comfy and clean with free water and instant coffee and tea. This is a great hotel near old quarter for the value highly recommend!

Fabulous little hotel in the old quarter.nice location everything on your doorstep.,travel agency on site for all yours trips .Nice little rooftop restaurant plenty on the menu to fuel you up for the day. Comfy bed nice shower safe in your room ,great value for money 💰 but what makes any place is the staff, super helpful always smiling, nothing every a problem.so much so on my way back there in a few days.need I say more .you want a posh place look elsewhere. But you won't beat the service you get here.for a fraction of the price 🤔
