Elk Refuge Inn

The room was clean and comfortable with a good size table to eat on and a huge long balcony. The view is great!

The balcony door needed replaced ( it was fogged over and almost impossible to slide shut.) Our bathroom was app. 28" wide, add in the door and anyone of size will have trouble fitting!

We stayed in an apartment room. It had a separate bedroom and a kitchen. Everything was clean and wonderful. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was large and clean, with extra touches. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with pans and dishware. We got several texts from the resort, welcoming us, giving us information. I loved the location, about a mile from town, close enough to run into town, but just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The view from our window was beautiful.

The room was really spacious and I liked that there were only a small number of rooms so the property was quiet. The man who checked us in was really friendly and helpful and they also allowed us to check in a little bit earlier at no cost. The rooms had a little kitchenette with all the facilities you would need it was great.

I wish we had of known how big the rooms were and the facilities because we would of stayed there longer rather than spending a few days right in town.

The View. The wife was amazed at the number of elk on the refuge which you could see by simply looking out the window. If you bring good optics and cameras, you can get some wonderful pictures just by stepping outside your room.

The price as always, when you are dealing with anything in Jackson. The price was moderate considering what everyone else was asking. Take it from a Wyoming native, it is sad to see what Jackson Hole is becoming or has become.

The location of this hotel was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable but not very big. The goodie basket was a nice touch and much needed after a long day of traveling. We were able to use their free washer and dryer and they gave us complimentary soap and dryer sheet. Checking in was a pleasure with a very polite and courteous employee.

We had been traveling and staying in a different hotel in a different city every night for 3 weeks. This hotel was the most expensive one that we stayed in and there really was no difference in the accommodations.

The location of this property is excellent if you are going to spend a lot of time in the Tetons National Park. The property was very clean, staff was wonderful. We stayed at several hotels/motels during our trip and the Elk Refuge by far had the most comfortable beds. Will stay again on future trips!

The only thing I would like to see different, is blackout curtains! The beds were so comfortable, I could have slept forever with blackout curtains.

Location, location, location! Just 3 minutes from Jackson Hole Town Square and all the main restaurants, you're able to feel more apart of The National Parks during your stay. It's a rustic retreat at a motel price! They provide beautiful views of nature- The Elk Refuge- from your balcony, great accommodations; comfortable beds, clean bathroom, fabulous kitchenette, our own Keurig in the room, free snacks, ice, coffee, tea & hot chocolate! They even have laundry service on site. You park right outside your door for convenient access. There is a gas station in walking distance for anything else you need. By far this will be the best bang for your buck & province an experience you won't want to forget! My family & I can't wait to go back!

We loved it so much we would have loved a later check out time. Noon would have been nice.

We couldn’t say enough good words about our stay at Elk Refuge Inn. The location is perfect - you’re so close to everything yet still distanced enough to feel fully in nature and peace. The view is unbelievable, we were seeing wildlife every time we walk out or look out of the window. The rooms are comfortable, warm for a winter stay and have everything you need (added some great complimentary treats). But what makes this place so amazing is the people who work there. everyone we met and interacted with was so sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. Our only wish is that we could stay longer. amazing place, we’ll definitely be back in the summer.

We really enjoyed the room and the space was generous for the two of us. The balcony overlooking the elk refuge was very nice. We didn't see any elk but in September, we didn't expect to. We watched the sunset and the sunrise. The check in staff was great and talked with me a good while about the area and answered questions. This is an older place and not everything is updated, but overall we were happy. We also liked being able to park right outside our door. I strongly recommend the second floor units. We also liked that it was outside of Jackson, which was very crowded and at a red level for Covid, and close to the entrance to Grand Tetons.

The only negative was the small shower and the showerhead was very low. My husband is 5'7" and had to duck to wash his hair.

Extremely nice and lovely staff, very comfortable beds (honestly the best pillow I ever had!), wonderful atmosphere and decoration in the room, snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocholate for free. Everything was clean AND the motel tries to be environmental friendly with recycle bins and soap bottles instead of plastic. GREAT! Almost forgot: Only a minute to Downtown Jackson and 15 minutes to the Tetons. Would could you ask more for?
