Holiday Inn Express and Suites Sumner, an IHG Hotel

The hotel seems to be brand new. Everything is spotless and has a modern aesthetic. The room where I stayed was large, clean, and comfortable with a great bed, lots of direct and indirect lighting, typical amenities such as fridge, microwave, TV, and a decent-sized bathroom. The hotel also features a pool and a gym, which I sadly was not able to enjoy. But what I did enjoy (tremendously) was the breakfast, which was well above average in terms of selection and quality.

The bathroom light is brighter than the sun when you turn it on in the middle of the night.

The staff here made the experience. The woman who worked Monday morning breakfast was so sweet. She was kind and asked us if we’d like to take any extra cinnamon rolls to our room as she was closing up. She was awesome! There was also a man who worked the evening shifts over the weekend and he was so friendly, personable, and just an all around awesome guy! You guys have amazing staff working there.

The bathroom shower was the only negative of the entire experience. It felt very cheap and every time you moved in it, it was very loud and creaky. The door was also hard to close.

The breakfast was great. Lots of options for food and they had a good cook. I have been at other hotel's that had a good variety of food as well but the food tasted bad. So I was pleased with the breakfast.

The pool and hot tub hours.

Very clean , friendly staff . 2 Coffee places and a 711 outside in the parking lot . A pool with towels and maintenance was always checking the hot tub water . Very clean environment. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee was even good !!!

train can be quite loud when it passes and parking was difficult - may potentially need to walk very far across the massive parking lot with heavy luggage

Comfortable bed, clean room, and friendly staff. The breakfast was a nice idea. Easy access to freeway.

Our room was near the kitchen and screaming children woke us up at 7 am. The breakfast food was cold and mostly gone when we went in at 8:30am. The room was crowded for 2 people.

The pool was beautiful and immaculate. So warm I didn't even want the hot tub. It was awesome. Even bigger towels on hand. The hot breakfast was great. The rooms and grounds were VERY clean and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. The people at reception were very friendly and helpful. 10/10 would stay again just for the pool.

Closest handicapped parking was a bit of a walk for me. The location of the hotel was a bit far away from town. Price of room was a little high but you do get what you pay for here.

Breakfast was much better than expected! The room was comfortable and clean. Location-wise, it's good because it's within a short drive to downtown Sumner and you can hop right on the highway to get other places in the area. The pizza place nearby was very nice!

Comfy bed & sheets. Was able to get a room with tub, which apparently is hard to find since showers only are more common nowadays.

Breakfast ended at exactly 9:30am. I had thought it would be 10am since it was Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Was able to grab something quick and take it to table..but no coffee as she closed the doors up. Also, the handicapped parking is dismal. Every single one taken and I'm not even sure if they had a placard, as I do. It sucked.

The staff was stellar; Carmelo went over and above his duties when my husband got food poisoning. He helped bring fresh linen, having to open up service rooms to accomplish that. He was also at the ready to suggest places to eat and things to see and do. Rudie was also a cheerful smiling face...eager to please! Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Try the pancake machine..delightful light and delicious.

Shower could use a door instead of curtains..floor got pretty slippery.
