Travelodge by Wyndham Virginia Beach Bay Beach

The location was wonderful. There were plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby the hotel and it was very close to the beach so you don't have to worry about finding parking for that. The beach is just a 5-10 minute walk away.

The parking lot was weird. The building was elevated a bit and that made parking a bit difficult since it was all basically on a slope if that makes sense. Driving on the sloped parking lot felt awkward too. Alternatively if you don't want to deal with the weird sloped parking lot, there's some other parking spots on the street but you'd have to parallel park and no one wants to do that, but still it's not really a deal-breaker for me.

greeted by a drug addict was a little rough and discerning it does not present well for guests coming in to see someone who is a drug attic and has marks all up and down her on to prove it I was really concerned about that but she was nice she didn’t do anything on a place but if you want people to see that when they come into your thing that’s going to lose your customers off the bat other than that the state was nice I had no other problem and she was nice a little slow but very nice

I enjoyed this hotel. It was just me so the room was just the right size. It was clean, had enough outlets for my needs and was mere minutes from the beach...my favorite feature. The staff was wonderful. I'll visit again, and this time bring my kids...maybe (about the kids) :0)

Add a chair. Mount TV higher. Better mattress, pet friendly (wish I could bring my dogs) All these things were not necessary to my experience. I'm just mentioning them because you asked what could make it better.

Breakfast being provided for the customers. Other than rain every day of the week for my vacation, it was nice.

The location is a very easy walk to a rather quiet section of beach (Chesapeake Beach), so you can avoid the huge crowds often present along the boardwalk stretch of the beach. Facilities were not especially nice, though there was a little renovation going on when we were there, and the property was clean and neat. There were a number of good restaurants close by and it was very easy to find the property itself and to get to the oceanfront.

There is a bar right next door open to the outside with music kind of late. It was not terribly loud, and we bring a sound machine with us to cover things like that, so it was not awful but not great. The first time we stayed here we were on the other side of the building and did not hear it.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When I booked our room, I didn't know it was an upstairs room and I have mobility problems. The staff was kind enough to offer a different room at a lower rate due to it being a queen instead of king like I originally booked. They also checked in on us next morning to see if we needed anything such as more towels or pillows.

My only complaint would be that there were a couple dirty wash cloths in the bathroom. But there were fresh ones in the room as well.

An amazing gem. We could walk to the beach. Amanda was kind and welcoming. She did an excellent job with check in!

Nothing. This place is great. A refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of an overpriced boardwalk motel.

2 min walk to the beach with hardly anybody on it. Room was very nice compared to the outside. Staff was great and friendly

It flooded one night we was there and I had to move my car so water wouldn't get in it and the water came into the room. But staff brought towels and cleaned it up. We had to ask for a broom the second day because we had sand on the floor. It didn't feel like housekeeping sweep the floor.

Easy check in, bed was comfortable, location was great

Small ruffed up areas but such can be expected with all the people in the area. Could have had more than three pillows in king suite, but—still comfortable and safe stay

it was very close to a lot of places and the beach it was cold when we went so we just looked Into the local bars and scenery

the only thing I did not like was putting my food in the fridge caused it to freeze not stay cold
