Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chesapeake, an IHG Hotel

The staff was amazing. First Jennifer help with prepaying options. I was with elderly couple and when we arrived early Shamika( Hope her name is correct ) was all smiles and graciously allowed us to get first floor room next to each other. Lastly, ever single staff we came in contact with was warm and friendly. Noel I think he has keys to all the Rooms, the elderly couple was having trouble using their key card so he said no problem and let them him. He was always happy and courteous This experience will make us use this company in the future and definitely stay there again

I had no idea the breakfast would be so awesome great for kids, too. Breakfast and the staff that services it Front desk Staff Comfy beds Glass shower doors(one reason I chose this place) Stores nearby for anything great location

My air conditioner was filthy. The vents on the outside were black. The front desk offered to send maintenance, but I had already cleaned it, and it would have been the next morning when they came too late for the length of our stay. Very clean otherwise.

Though it's near the interstate, I couldn't hear it. The room seemed well insulated against noise. Every staff member was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic. There were so many things to choose from (two egg dishes, hot cinnamon rolls, pancake maker, yogurt, corned beef hash, pork and turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy/not all in one morning but always good). Comfortable mattress, clean room. Awesome stay (second in 2 months at a Holiday Inn, and both were great. Highly recommend.

Location: The address of the hotel on the Bookings website is Chesapeake. But this hotel actually seems to be Suffolk !(?)! I had things to do in Chesapeake and the hotel was farther from Chesapeake than I thought. I had an appointment and left 15 minutes earlier than I would have liked to, due to hotel bring in Duffolk. Was this a Rookie or out-of-towner mistake or kind of a misleading description of the property? Who knows. I'm just saying. The hotel is very close to major highways so it is quite convenient to get onto the highway system and get going. But, still, you say Chesapeake and I say Suffolk. Kind of like you say Tomato and I day Tomato. I don't really understand.

The hotel was very clean. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and kind. Breakfast was nice but you had to get there first to get some of the items. The room was comfortable and spacious.

The location was too far away from where I was working. In other words, I would have liked to be closer to Virginia Beach. This hotel was on the border of Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Portsmouth, which was 1/2 hour away.

Had no towels in room asked front desk Left for several hours came back still none Found housekeeping cart and helped myself Stayed 4 days no housekeeping came And evidently they let people stand around in front entrance and smoke Didnt like going thru smoke cloud

The staff were always friendly and helpful 🙂 The breakfast was a different variety each morning. I LOVED the pancake maker❤️

No option for a bath tub. The pictures on your site show rooms with bathtubs but when I asked the desk clerk she said there are no tubs anymore😡 You should update your photos

it’s beautiful, clean, comfortable and they have delicious food. The staff is always lovely, reliable and available. Even the other people staying at the hotel are happy. I’m sure it’s because they’re enjoying their stay as well. GREAT JOB!

it’s a bit pricey. This is our favorite hotel in the area but unfortunately we can not always afford to stay here even though we travel to this area several times a year.

The cleaning staff was great. Breakfast was good. Eating and breakfast areas were well tended. Especially like the inclusion of gloves. Would have liked bacon, but I understand greedy folks make it cost prohibitive. Corn beef hash was a nice addition.

Were no signs showing where the elevator was and was not directed by the desk. Some desk personnel were personable others seemed to have conflicting priorities outside.

The cleanliness! And the staff were great! This is our second stay at this location because we had a great experience the first time as well and didn’t want to take a chance of not getting the same experience somewhere else.

Our room was on the third floor facing the parking lot and we didn’t have curtains just a see through shade so there were beams of light in our room all night from the parking lot lights! It was the most annoying thing ever we slept with our heads covered with a blanket to block it out
