Breakfast was good, but above all else your staff was superior--they were welcoming, friendly, and attentive as were all the staff during our stay. When we come to Barter, we'll definitely stay with you again.

There should be more seating in the bedroom. The lack of furniture makes the room look bare and there is plenty of room for that to happen. When you are traveling in a group you would like to be able to visit, but there were only 2 uncomfortable chairs--no good spots to do any reading.

Great coffee, good breakfast selections, very comfortable bed and pillows, large walk-in-shower with good water pressure, plenty of towels, room-darkening shades that worked (!), efficient AC, updated decor and amenities (USB ports and a drop zone/valet), very friendly staff, and clean overall. The room even smelled clean but not in a sterile-clean kind of way; more of a clean-laundry smell. The lobby and breakfast area had a large variety of seating areas with USB ports and multiple TVs WITH remotes so not everyone had to watch one channel and there was plenty of room for social distancing. Truly exceeded our expectations and a great value!

Consistent breakfast selection. I was disappointed that the eggs I had one morning weren't offered the next day. And waffles would be nice. That's all I can suggest!

The cinnamon rolls are always a big hit! The front desk clerk when we checked in was very friendly and helpful with finding a good place to eat. The check out clerk was also super-friendly. I really LOVED the view from our bedroom window of the pretty little farm below and mountains in the distance! Nice that we were far enough away from the road that we didn’t have loud traffic noise keeping us up all night!

I wish there had been something besides biscuits and gravy (ugh) for a hot breakfast selection. Scrambled eggs or an omelet would be good, something with protein. Also, I noticed that the boxes holding the TVs up on the wall in the breakfast area had VERY sharp edges, which were at a height and in a place where it would be very easy for someone to accidentally hit their head!

Staff, except for the breakfast, was very kind and understanding. The view over the pasture behind us was wonderful with much activity. Loved it.

Our stay was a week and our bed linens were never changed or straightened. We had to ask for towels and trash bags. Our room was changed due to a blind breaking, but only received double beds whereas we paid for queen size. Pool was rather chilly.

The location was perfect for our visit to Abingdon & the Barter Theater. The breakfast was very good with variety.

The booking site promised lowest rates available. However, when we stayed an extra night through the front desk it was $15 less with AAA/AARP.

Very friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great.

It was a bit too pricey, $403 for 1 night did not seem like an appropriate price, I think they took advantage of the fact that the weather was so bad because of the hurricane, and people who are traveling would need a place to stay, so they increased the price.

Location was exceptionally convenient to the attractions we were interested in. The hotel was very new and overall very clean.

Toilet began to leak and smell the second night. We did report when we left both to the front desk and the cleaning staff. The walls were also not too soundproof, so our neighbors were very loud until midnight the first night.

Very comfortable and clean room. Nice staff and overall professionalism of everyone. Room was quiet large, did not feel cramped. Lots of restaurants close by with lots of variety.

My husband always likes extra pillows and there were none in the closet.

Perfect location - close enough to the exit but not right by the highway, gas station and eating places in walking distance. Arrived to the hotel at 11:30 at night and was able to find onsite parking and felt safe walking in. Staff on both shifts were friendly and efficient. The hallways and room smelled and looked clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable.

I liked how big and comfy it was. It was very clean and staff was very nice even for the holidays.

For as much as we paid to stay there I thought the complementary breakfast would've been better but not complaining it was technically free.
