Quality Inn

Being budget conscious, we always choose the Quality Inn from the Van Horn area. Agree it is not a Hilton. But if you need a place to rest while passing through (exhausted driving ALL day), this is a decent choice. We found the room (212) with newish carpet, clean sheets, comfortable bed. Good lighting indoors and out, everything works. To get you going, the hot water and water pressure will peel an onion. The breakfast offering was decent with the typical assortment of cold items, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle. Coffee is better than the truck stop. Just enough to get you back on the road.

Not a major detraction but wouldn't take but a bit more effort to push past the slightly run-down feeling. Patch some nail holes in the walls, tidy up the paint. Personally, I wasn't keen with the window that wouldn't lock up properly and the gaps around the closed locked door.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Needed to wash laundry and we were able to catch up in their facility on site rather than finding a laundromat.

It isn’t their fault but they lie in a time zone change area. We missed breakfast the next day because our phones had not changed. We were told our particular carrier doesn’t switch their phones until further done the road. At one point our phone said one time, my watch said another and the car clock said another. It was confusing.

Staff was very friendly. This was a last minute booking due to high winds and a dust storm. Staff was very accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. Our room had new carpet and was very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was good with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and various other items.

I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like. Obviously it is a budget motel and was right off the interstate. I was thankful to get out of the wind.

The breakfast was one of the best for a road side hotel. The waffle was perfect, the butter was soft and the eggs and the sausage were good. Overall, the stay was great for the price paid.

The carpet didn't look like it has been vacuumed, there was an empty travel size shampoo bottle left in the shower and there was considerable paint chipping and pealing on the bathroom walls.

We've stayed here many times and always find it suitable. Not upscale, no frills, a bit aged. But always clean, never bugs. On a couple occasions staff have worked to help make my handicapped husband comfortable.

Had a bit of clogged toilet and no plunger on the property to fix it. My husband managed with different tool. Strange.

We stayed at the Quality Inn on our way to visit grand kids and great grand kids, and husband to hunt. We were close to McDonalds, so that made it easy for food, and your local hardware store had my husbands hunting license. Easy Then on way home we booked another night at your Quality Inn since we were happy on the January 24th. visit. We requested a first floor room, and was granted our request. Clean and quiet.

January 24th night our key didn't work, but receptionist correct the problem before our McDonalds food got cold. lol

Nice location in Van Horn and not a bad drive from there to the Salt Flats and Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The hot breakfast they provided was the best of anywhere I stayed during my 10 day trip!

The breakfast was the best in my 40 years of traveling with breakfast included. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And two thumbs up 👍 👍 Keep up the good work

Breakfast was good, the bed was Confy, I had to ask for extra Sheets for the Sofabed but there were no extra pillows, the room was big enought for the Sofabed and the King bed.

A very good value and convenient from the highway. A gas/convenience store is next door, and a supermarket is an easy 5 minute drive. The rooms have outside entrances (which we prefer during this Coronavirus epidemic). The room with a King bed was spacious, and was clean. The front desk clerk was a friendly young man and check-in was a breeze.

The surrounding property is not especially well landscaped or attractive. It is not a great location for a walk around. There are a few building maintenance issues. The exterior stairways need some repairs soon.
