Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florence, an IHG Hotel

The location was very convenient for us. We got a flat tire on the motorcycle on our way back to MD from FL. The Harley dealer is right down the street from the hotel. So we were able to walk there and things taken care of. There is also several places to eat and a Pilot gas station right next door, so we weren't entirely stranded and were able to get what we needed for our 2 day stay while the bike was getting fixed. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We were unsure of when our motorcycle would be ready for pick up so we could get back on the road. So shortly before check out time, we were in the room discussing if we should just pay for another night's stay so we didn't have to lug all of our stuff around all day. At that point, the cleaning crew was making their rounds, cleaning the rooms. Then one of them opened the door to our room to see if we were still in there. It was a little irritating at first. It almost felt like they were trying to push us out so they could do what they needed to do. I feel like they should've known we were still in there, though. If we had been fresh or of the shower or changing my clothes, then it would've been a very big issue for me.

The staff were very nice and professional. The lobby was clean and inviting. My room was exceptional, and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and filling, and the woman monitoring the cafe was so pleasant.

I liked how close this hotel is to I 95. I had stopped at Bucee's which across the street on the other side of I 95. A awful storm came and it was impossible to see to drive, so I booked a room. My only complaint would have to be the noise factor, that continued through the night.

This was our second stay at this location. Check in is easy. All the staff we encountered were friendly. The spaces were clean and pretty well kept. It is right off of I-95, there are fuel and food options within walking distance. It's a good place to stop for the night. The toiletries that were included were also very good, Dove brand.

Great location. Easy to find and right next to a gas station. My children loved the indoor pool

They only issue was I booked a two Queen suite with sofa bed to accommodate me and my family and we got stuck with a handicap two queen room. Having the walk in shower with small children was not fun at all. The bathroom floor stayed wet and we used quite a few towels over our 2 night stay. But luckily the room was at the end of the hall on the first floor by a side door which allowed for easy access to and from the car.

The staff was was very accommodating. Our rooms got mixed up during booking because their systems were down. They upgraded our rooms to king suites and gave us extra rooms for the 2 queen bed rooms we were supposed to have. The breakfast was delicious. The kids loved the pool!! Very nice weekend. The rooms were very nice.

There was NOTHING we didn't like.

Convenient and close to interstate, very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good too.

Toilet seat was not securely attached, air conditioner couldn’t be adjusted the night we stayed but that issue was addressed by management the following morning (a/c was upgraded and had to be adjusted in the wall, not on the unit).

Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Beds are comfortable. Liked that the pillows were marked as firm or soft.

The carpet in our room could use a good scrubbing. The bed frames were coming apart. Bed sheets on one of the beds had black markings on them.

The staff was friendly. The pool and the common areas of the hotel were clean. The room was nice with a comfortable bed.

The bathroom of my room wasn't spotless. There were some spots on the faucet, and some hairs on the wall. I always bring cleaning wipes with me, just in case, so I took care of it myself. The price for the location was a little high. The only things close to this location was a Pilot gas station, Wendys and McDonald's.

Breakfast was actually one of the most complete meals experienced in recent times

Absolutely horrid noises coming from trucks on the highway in front of hotel. Room window glass is POOR regarding noise damping. I'd be extremely upset with whom ever procurred these windows during the construction of the hotel!

The hotel was very clean, and you could tell it had been recently updated. The staff was very friendly and extremely efficient. Check in took less than five minutes. Right off I-95, easy access. Also good coffee. The suite was spacious and very clean. Small closet, iron and ironing board. Hair dryer in the bathroom, and in shower dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathroom mirror is back lit, so optimal lighting for doing makeup. The suite also had a small sink and fridge, as well as microwave. For check out, we just dropped our key cards in a basket at the front desk. Quick and easy.

Breakfast was okay, but enough to get us going.
