Quality Inn Umatilla - Hermiston

The hotel room was spacious and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The A/C worked well, as did the wifi. The shower had good water pressure. Linens were soft, coffee/tea service, and toiletries as expected. Adequate outlets available to charge electronics. The hotel was quiet and we slept very well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was a lovely, inviting swimming pool, though we did not try it. The breakfast was as expected for a Quality Inn. However, we especially appreciated the hard boiled eggs in their shell, and not the often provided rubber eggs. We ate a delicious dinner at the restaurant called "Delish" in Hermiston, about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Access to the freeway was very good, without the noise of a freeway. Over the years, we have stayed at a number of Quality Inns that could be described similarly to this one. Unfortunately, we recently stayed at another Quality Inn that was an utter failure and disappointment, so we were a bit reluctant to stay again at Quality Inn. But we were pleasantly surprised, and very pleased with this stay, and will stay here again if we're in the area.

We haul a lot of stuff with us into our hotel room at night when we are on a road trip, and this trip was no different. It would have been great to have an elevator, but we managed without problem, and can actually say that the exercise was good for us after a day on the road!

Off the road just enough to be quiet and close to the highway. One unexpected thing that added to our enjoyment with our stay was a gathering of dogs and their owners. I love dog people, so nice and friendly. Nice breakfast.

Access to the room from the lobby was a bit of a maze. The wildfire that nearly had us evacuated.

This accommodation is a little out-of-the-way and not in Umatilla as I had expected. That said, the room was spacious, the staff competent, the location - a rural setting near the Columbia river and adjacent to a golf course - unexpectedly peaceful.

I liked that I was able to check in early and the room was a good size and comfortable

One of the bathroom light bulbs were burnt out so it was fairly dark and the outside door was locked at night and we had to walk around to the front entrance when we parked by the other door expecting it to be open.

Big room and clean

The room had slider doors but the lock was broken and not secured- the night clerk was not knowledgeable about the hotel. He wasn’t very helpful or greet customers with a pleasant face.

Big rooms. Awesome golf course immaculate greens fairways tight.Nice pool.great bar.Perfect for families with a doggie.Plenty of areas for the doggie to relieve themselves.Comfortable beds. Worth every cent plus.

I like it because its off the beaten path. secluded. it was really quiet. staff was very polite.

at first it seemed kind of creepy. dark hallways and no noise. i got use to it.

No elevator and extremely long walk to room

The location was good for our return trip home. The room was cool and roomy and the staff were very attentive. Really enjoyed our time visiting with the hostess in the lounge.

Our only irritation was that the auto closing doors on the rooms made for a lot of noise. Either remove the auto close or put some cushioning in to cut the noise.
