Staff were awesome and so helpful. Check in was easy. Continual breakfast was delicious and they had lots of variety and hot and cold options. Location to U of O and restaurants was great. The bed was super comfy and the sheets were super clean and really soft. The AC worked great in the room. There a really great setup of fridge, microwave, pantry cubby and coffee bar in the room. The hotel and rooms were updated and very chic and modern.

The shower and the base of the toilet were not clean, or were cleaned very poorly. The shower had pink mold and soap scum in it and the floor of the shower looked like it needed a proper scrub. A decorative bowl on the coffee table looked like it had old sauce splashed inside it. The parts of the room we actually used seemed clean though, except for the shower. We only stayed for one night, so we didn't mention it to the front desk staff. The indoor pool wasn't very warm, which was a bummer.

beds are the perfect combination of firm yet comfortable. nice to have a minifridge for use, a table, and 3 chairs!. the main building is new. the other 2 buildings are older, low-slung motel-type but the rooms have been renovated and are modern and nicely furnished.

The property states it is pet friendly and shows many pictures of dogs lounging on the beds in rooms. However nowhere does it state that only certain rooms are pet friendly. I booked specifically so I could bring my pet, yet by the time I realized something was amiss, there were no pet friendly rooms left.

Very clean and sterile. Just the way I like it. Obviously a newer hotel. Unusual design as far as property use and building construction, but not in an inconvenient way. The Hayward is an excellent value, and had competitive pricing with much lower quality hotels in the area during my stay. Sheets and towels were soft and fresh. I did not take advantage of the breakfast on my first stay, but I'm staying an unexpected second night, so we'll see how that is. Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. IMHO, those are the best qualities in hospitality hosts and staff. I will definitely stay here again and recommend others to as well. -Aaron

Not a fan of the inability to choose low light settings in room. Natural sunlight spectrum bulbs seem to be the standard in all fixtures, with no dimming capabilities.

-Clean room, large indoor pool was excellent, good heating, ample parking, good breakfast & good location.

-Front desk staff were not as helpful as they could have been at check in. Not clear on which building we were staying, so we carried our luggage up three flights of stairs only to discover we were in the wrong building. -Check out did not ask us how our stay was. Just said we were all paid up and that was the end of the conversation. We both found it a little rude and off-putting. -Bed and room were very clean, but the mattress was not that comfortable

The TV in the room was big. Having two sinks was convenient. Beds were comfy. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the views of the creek were pleasant.

Check-in process was disappointing. Couldn't accommodate 30 min early check-in, that's fine but then 30 mins later no communication with housekeeping if my room is ready so I was left standing there for 10 mins at the front desk while she walked to the far back building, the one not on ANY pictures, to check if my room was clean.

The front desk was great! We requested a room in the main building since that is the only portion that has an elevator. When we arrived the front desk had put us in the back (doesn't have an elevator). They changed it for us with no issues. When booking at this hotel make sure you call the hotel if you want to stay in the main hotel with the elevator. Bookings doesn't advertise the main building because the rooms are usually a few bucks more.

Bookings was difficult to work with to get my original room canceled. The hotel had to make concessions because bookings would not call them they would only work through email.

Just across the road from the University of Oregon, beautiful new building and rooms, comfy beds and bedding. Has mini fridge and Keurig machine with coffees and teas. Lovely, clean bath and shower with great soaps, conditioners etc. Booked with book it.com and our reservation got messed up and the hotel did not know we were traveling with a pet. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful, lovely and wonderful!! There were other issues going on due to third party bookings and they remained calm and cool and bent over backward to get us in our room asap!!

Only negative was the breakfast. Very limited…nothing fresh except bananas. Wasn’t the meal we needed to start off another long day of traveling.

Room was clean. It was close to the UofO, so I was able to walk to the school for my orientation sessions instead of needing to drive. Breakfast was a nice bonus because I didn't have to think about going somewhere to get food, coffee or juice. I didn't use the pool, but it was clean. The gym was not that big, but it had all the equipment that I typically use when I work out, so that was good. The staff was always helpful and kind. So, high marks for cleanliness, proximity to school, breakfast and staff.

The TV channels were very limited. I only had about six channels to choose. Wish there were much more. Other than that, everything else was good.

The room was modern and very comfortable and clean. The beds & pillows were also comfortable and had super soft sheets. There was a good size flat screen TV that was clear and had many channels. The other nice amenities include a Kerig coffee maker, microwave, and a working refrigerator that was actually cool in temperature. Out of the three hotels that we used for our family vacation, my family liked this one the best. Location is also close to downtown Eugene and across from Orgen State University.

The lighting in the room was too bright (LED lights that were bright white). It was not a warm white at all. The Wifi was a little slow and hard to connect. But once we connected it was fine.

Walking distance to UO campus. Room is clean and spacious. We liked the firmness of the bed. Hallway on our floor was sloped...also felt room sloping slightly - which was curious, for sure. Was pleasantly surprised with their breakfast spread! We've been to hotels where breakfast = (day old) muffins a/o bread for toasting and cereal boxes! It's nothing like that! Hot breakfast items changed for the two days that we were there. We saw staff replenishing the hot breakfast items regularly on our first morning there.
