Comfort Suites Lumberton

The young man that checked me in was very pleasant. I loved the information sheet about pets. There was plenty of open spaces to walk my dog and the location was very convenient to other businesses. I liked being able to walk just a few steps to Outback and bring back a carryout meal. The room was very pet friendly and the door to the outside walk area was very close by. I also liked that everything was clean. I would recommend to anyone traveling with a pet!

Because of the location of the room, there was a lot of door slamming sounds. This was not disturbing to me, but made my dog bark. She is not used to staying in hotels though, so it is to be expected.

Late to breakfast but still able to get a good variety before it ended and coffee was amazinggg. Definitely loved how clean hotel was and the room was more than we expected, in a good way of course. Hotel was very quiet and loved the location of how close everything is but not too close to where noise will keep you up all night.

Only thing we kind of worried about was the morning we were leaving. Someone was able to get into our room, but luckily we had the metal top lock that stops the door from opening fully set. Didn’t know if it was the cleaning service or a random person but I would have assumed the cleaning people would have knocked before attempting to open the door. Other than that everything else was great!

The hotel was convenient to restaurants , interstate, gas stations and shopping. Very clean and modern room. Slept like a baby with the comfortable beds. It was so quiet there. They had biscuits, muffins, juice and coffee for breakfast. A friendly staff as well. I will definitely return.

The overall look, location and layout.

I was told that had to check in either exactly at 3 pm or close to it when I arrived after 1 30 am on check in day after driving straight from St Louis MO to NC. I went to my sister who has no extra rooms but I would had to make reservation for additional night there or somewhere else if I had no family or friends to crash at. I understood about towels but my room wasn’t cleaned once during my stay. I didn’t have issue with room when or after I checked in it was obviously cleaned including fresh sheets but no housekeeping service except for leaving fresh towels to replace dirty ones I placed outside.

I had never even heard of Lumberton, NC, and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hotel. A great walk-in shower(not a tub), and the King bed was very comfortable. Clean, and the hotel felt new/modern, rather than one of those old/tired/ancient hotels that somebody had refinished. On the north outskirts of the major part of Lumberton, so it felt more rural/wooded/safe, but it was right next to an Outback restaurant. A quick 60 second walk, and I was able to get an excellent meal and some good local craft beer. All very welcome after the 500+ mile drive from Cape Canaveral! I was bushed, and slept in rather than getting the breakfast, so I can't speak to that, but they -did- have good coffee to help me start my next leg up to DC. Woke refreshed and ready for the (re)grind. Very pleasantly surprised with this visit, and will make a point of staying here again when I drive down to Cape Canaveral again.

The breakfast was ok, but not great. The location was easy to access from I 95. It was surrounded by a large lawn area, with a fence separating it from the highway. It was a good location for walking our dog and also for parking our van with a boat on trailer. We liked that it was next to Outback Steakhouse, we did not have to drive to go to dinner. We liked that the room was modern, with plank floors and tile floors (no smelly carpets) and had bedside lamps that worked well for reading. The walk in shower was nice too.

Location couldn’t be any better. Easy access to all types of shopping in case you need something for continuation of your trip less than 2 minutes from entrance and exit ramps of I-95.

I’ve stayed here several times going back a few years. Some things are starting to show signs of age. One odd and probably random thing in my last day; previous guests food was left in microwave. That’s the sort of thing that might point to lessening of overall cleanliness in property.

We travel with a pet. The room was conveniently located near the pet walk area on the first floor. The couch in the room was covered so that the cover could be removed and cleaned between visitors. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was convenient as a grab and go or you could sit and dine. The dining room was full which spoke to the quality. Room had both a small refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a coffee pot/with supplies. Staff was friendly and helpful during both check in and check out. I would definitely stay again.

I like the atmosphere as a whole. Breakfast was good although a little repetitive on the selections.The room also had a small tray under the ice bin so you could carry you food back to you room if you liked. I thought that was very convenient.Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were very spacious, and convenient because they where adjoining so no need leave through the main door to get to the second room.

There was only one ice machine and it was on the 1st floor, unfortunately my room was on the 4th. The serving sizes for breakfast was rather small. Less then a standard serving size would be, which made thing a little inconvenient.

The breakfast and staff were exceptional. The waffles, fruit, drinks and additional items were very good. The lady that serviced the breakfast was very sweet and extremely helpful.

They are currently updating the hotel to bring it up to speed with the newer places and it does need to be updated. It is hard to compare it to the place we stayed in Florence, SC because that property was newer and it was of course very nice with all of the newer amenities.
