John Hotel

Great location for Mets or US Open tennis. Walking distance. Interesting, vibrant neighborhood with lots of Chinese and other Asian restaurants (few if any American food options). Room very nice. Bed on the firm side. Bathroom finish and towels a step up from typical Hampton Inn level hotel. As others have noted, entire block under construction. No noise from it on my Sunday night.

hidden away next to the Renaissance Hotel and Tangtam mall. target is close by. very close to Subway #7 which takes you right into Times Square and close to LIRR to take you into Penn Station. Mets Citi stadium within walking distance. Great Chinese places to eat. Hotel has a Airport van to/from JFK and LGA. Coffee maker/hot water kettle, microwave and frig in room. Breakfast is adequate to start your Day. Alex and Benny were very helpful

Only stayed a night, but I enjoyed the reasonable hotel rate and the cleanliness of the room. In addition, I enjoyed how this hotel is close to restaurants, a shopping mall, and La Guardia Airport. I will consider this hotel in the future.

I wish the front desk staff were a lot more personable and inviting. I must say they were polite but with no personality.. In addition, I asked for an extra blanket, but I was not pleased with being told I had to go pick it up from the front desk.

The room was very neat and tidy for a budget hotel, environment right from the reception was also very neat and well organized. Breakfast was English and very rich. My kids enjoyed the breakfast.

Nothing much, just that i noticed that there were no creamer and sugar in the room if you want to take tea in the room

Location is conveniently placed near Citi Field and a lot of great restaurants. Rooms were very clean! Beds are firm, may not be everyone's preference but I enjoyed it. Refrigerator and microwave in each room.

Temperature in room fluctuated a lot. Water temperature did not get hot enough for my liking. Rooms don't have much storage for clothes. Just a few hangers and a small amount of hanging space. Would have loved to have a dresser in the room.

The House keeping staff (male and female) were excellent. They did an Excellent job at cleaning and followed up with requests. Thank you. The men at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The kitchen staff young lady was a hard worker, kept things tidy and clean, and approachable

The construction area surrounding the hotel was somewhat unpleasant, The Air conditioner did not cool very well. One female front desk staff member was dismissive, and unwelcoming.

Front desk person was amazing and so nice. Made me and My wife feel safe. The room was spacious and clean the views were also great. The room does not come with toothbrush nor toothpaste but we called front desk and they gave it to us for free. Checking in and out was super easy. We checked in late at night and the front desk offered us an extra hour of checkout so we could get more sleep check out time was 12:00pm she lets us check out a 1:00pm with no extra cost.

Me and my wife were on the 4th floor early in the morning there were construction outside and it woke us up. The door to our room did not lock properly there was also no safety lock on our door so if someone opened the door it would fully open. The room had TV but no channels or anything played on it. We could also hear people talking and walking in the hall ways.

This hotel was super close to citifield for the event my 18yr old attended with his friends . Only hotel in the area that allowed under 21 to check in. The staff was amazing!! Allowed them to checkin early so they could leave their things before their event. So nice and so helpful to these young adults.

Unfortunately the rate was very high due to the event at citifield. Seemed like price gouging. All the hotels in the area were significantly higher that weekend but the usual $98 nightly rate was $400 per night for the weekend of this stay!!!!

The property was well-maintained and clean. The location was very convenient. Check in and check out were easy. Continental breakfast was nice. The staff was competent.

The shower pressure was bad and the water rarely got hot. It was a bit loud being so close to the airport and you can hear people in the hallways very easily.

I love this hotel the breakfast was great the young lady who was attending the kitchen was very nice and polite the neighbors were great and the best was that the little mall was as 2 1/2 blocks away but the only thing I would say it could be change is the bed there's too small but otherwise I will recommended thanks
