Hampton Inn & Suites Whitefish

Very nice hotel-clean, well -furnished, super quiet room with comfortable bed and several pillows. Wonderful breakfast with many options. Nice hot tub. Friendly, helpful staff. A 20 min. easy drive to the ski area and close access to downtown and many excellent restaurants. One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at!

The Wi Fi kept kicking me off No room service- even over an extended stay- unless specifically requested “due to Covid” made no sense. I could talk to anyone without a mask since the mandate had been lifted, yet no one could come in to make beds, leave clean towels, and replenish coffee when we weren’t even in the room?

The hotel was well located for Whitefish and the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish. The pool was a decent size for a hotel. The hotel was kept very clean.

Breakfast wasn't the best (for example, scrambled eggs were the only egg option and would take 20 minutes to prepare) and the price felt expensive, although this could be a mix of the location close to Whitefish (which feels like an expensive part of Montana) and the GBPUSD exchange rate being not so good at the moment from a British perspective.

Breakfast was good! I especially like that breakfast was available later in the morning. It was so convenient to have a shuttle to go into town. Lemon, the driver was so pleasant and informative! We had a service dog and we’re given the perfect room near back entrance.

Our car was broken into during night in parking lot. This was not the fault of the hotel. The hotel is in a safe location and parking lots are well lit. There are also cameras on the lots. Just bad luck.

Nice location, very friendly staff. Arrived during a power outage and the staff went above and beyond in getting us checked in, including holding the fire doors open for us so we could get in through the closest entrance. Lovely, helpful smiling people.

Wifi is next to impossible to get into and was spotty at best. Coffee in front was cold all night and the place does not offer real creamers for the coffee, only the prepackaged powdered kind.

The breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed for 7 nights and were told at check in that maid service would be on the 4th day. we received no maid and had to call the front desk a few times to get more things for the room- trash bags, toilet paper, coffee, etc. The office was extremely quick about bringing up the items. But we had used towels and full trash bags sitting in the room until we left.

Hotel is very new and clean. Close to 40, south of Whitefish, which gives you a 30 minute commute to GNP, no problem. Staff is polite and accommodating.

Overall good. Points to consider - Breakfast was adequate but served under covid protocol by hotel staff. They were courteous and probably following state(?) directives but it was never not awkward. Also breakfast options were lean at times during our 5 night stay. Morning coffee was consistently good. Afternoon coffee was ok. Still, when we left early to get into GNP the hotel offered to go grab bags which was a nice gesture. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient for my arrival and departure at Amtrak Whitefish Depot, just over one mile distance. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All staff I had contact with during my week there were very helpful and nice. There is an onsite snack convenience store where you can find sundries, snacks and drinks which can charge to your room. There is also an onsite secure laundry making it convenient to pack clean clothing away after all of the outdoor exploring you can do in the area. They also offer a shuttle into Whitefish if required. Other sites such as Glacier Nat Glacier Neal Park are not conveniently close so you will need to have a vehicle for exploring the area. Overall, I had an exceptional stay at Whitefish Hampton Inn & Suites and would come back again (and again)!

Out of seven nights, one evening had a family with several rooms surrounding me and incredibly noisy rambunctious children. They were running the hall, running backside of rooms in parking lot, and slamming doors. After going to front desk and asking to move, they offered to let parents know of the issues. It took a couple more hours, and I'm sure more complaining, before it all died down around 11:30p. This was no fault of Hampton Inn.

most of the staff were extremely helpful. location was good, breakfast was good. free cookies every evening. Liz from the pantry/kitchen was extremely helpful.

The location is very convenient. The check-in staff was pleasant and professional. I liked the sliding door between bedroom area and the bathroom and I like that the sink/mirror is separated from the toilet/bathtub.

I was disappointed that the room was not as clean as it should be. There were some nuts on the office chair and both the full mirror and the mirrors on the closet had fingerprints and smears on them. The pillows had no support and the blanket was too heavy.

Room was just what we needed for our overnight visit to Whitefish. The facility was well laid out, the bed was comfy and the breakfast looked and smelled great even though we did not partake.

Some noise during the night. Sounded like someone installing carpet nearby. Lady at front desk reminded me to report it next time so they could check it out and address the issue.
