I like the old charm of the New England building. The location was perfect to be in the middle of town. Everything was easy to walk to and visit in town. The staff was incredible and helpful. The room was provided at least twice a day.

The room and bathroom were tired and in need of an update. I wouldn't say I liked the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Someone mentioned the thin walls, but it wasn't bad. The nightlife fades off by 9-10 and is unlikely to disturb you.

Everyhing was absolutely perfect during our stay!! From pre-concierge and their wonderful communication and recommendations, to the beautiful rooms, to the delicious breakfast and afternoon snacks, the location, the staff, the additional comforts- beach towels, chairs, etc. Jared Coffin House was wonderful!! The front desk staff and drivers were exceptionally amazing- so friendly, courteous, helpful, accommodating- a "5-STAR" staff at this place!!

There was nothing that we didn't like here... everything was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are come visit Nantucket!

Jared Coffin House is centrally located near Nantucket center for shopping, with many excellent restaurants within walking distance and Jetties Beach about 10 minutes away. They offer beach chairs, towels and an umbrella to bring to the beach as well as a complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to Jetties Beach. They offer a complimentary breakfast each day. We were able to check in early and leave our bags on checkout until the time of our ferry to return home.

The doors close very loudly and that woke me up several times.

The location is perfect; easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing attractions. The staff is incredible: knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. The building is historic and well furnished with period furniture, giving off a vibe that you've gone back in time. The basement bar is cozy and friendly, manned by Stu who is a great conversationalist and has an impressive amount of local lore at his fingertips. Our room was very spacious and comfortably appointed.

Our room, while clean and comfortable, could have used a bit of "sprucing up."

Great location right in town, just a five minute walk from the ferry. Beautiful old building with the most comfortable of beds. Delicious muffins for breakfast. Taproom restaurant is in the hotel; food was great and more reasonably priced then some other places close by. Complementary bikes! the list goes on, but best of all were the wonderful staff, they were all so friendly, nice, and so helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to restaurants, bookstores, and Main Street. I loved the historic building, furniture, and ambience. The staff was so helpful and gracious. When I called about a window being open that I couldn't close, someone was there in about two minutes to close it for me.

The room was cold, and I realized it was because a window was open. I called the front desk and help was sent immediately to close the window, which was stuck.

The location cannot be beat and the staff were very friendly. Our room was well appointed and comfortable too. The hotel was beautiful and historic. Their amenities were great for downtown with complimentary bike rentals, umbrellas, a car to use in the local vicinity, and a concierge who was ready to help when asked.

Sadly our floors were quite dirty and left our feet the same. Next time I’ll be sure to pack slippers.

Totally loved this little hotel! It felt as if we were visiting a rich uncle who invited us to stay at his tastefully decorated mansion :) Our room was very nice and clean with a new bathroom - water pressure was high which is somewhat uncommon, we loved the tropical shower and L’Occitane amenities!! Hotel also have bicycles that are provided to guests complimentary, and they also look stylish. Hotel team was always there happy to help with whatever requests we had.

staff was exceptionally nice and friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. In a severe rain storm they helped us with umbrellas get to their car for a free ride to the ferry. their complimentary car service (mile radius travel) is so helpful as walking w luggage to and from ferry is difficult.

rooms and decor are super old; if you like the old historic vibe it’s great; if you like more bright, white, airy hotel rooms this isn’t the place for that. but clean overall and comfy bed.
