great quiet and comfortable location with a great view of the ocean. the pool patio was spacious and a great place to relax.

it’s a 10-15 minute drive to the grocery store or restaurant, so we needed to have food in our room. A larger refrigerator space for groceries and ice would be great

Lovely quiet position overlooking the ocean in the distance. Plenty of outside space & lovely garden/seating areas.

The bathrooms & showers are in need of a full refurbishment. A bit worn out. Contrary to it's name, they dont do breakfast at all!

The setting and location are lovely -- situated atop a beautifully landscapped hill overlooking the ocean. The suite we had was spacious and comfortable. Especially liked the patio area for morning coffee/breakfast and the gazebo, where we did yoga. Loved swimming in the pool each morning.

It was a little difficult to navigate the area -- probably could have done more research in advance, but I felt like we got lost a fair bit and figuring out how to access the beaches and snorkeling was a little tricky. But the property's caretaker was very friendly and had some good restaurant suggestions. The suite could use some updating but it was clean and comfortable.

The Luana Inn was everything I hoped it would be based on my research that led me to book a stay there...and more. The location was beautiful, set on a hillside overlooking the ocean away from the tourist trappings of Kalua-Kona. The property has beautiful and well-maintained gardens. My room was perfect for my needs with a comfortable bed, adequate storage space, a beautiful deck and pool that offered a nice opportunity to socialize with other guests and the delightful new innkeeper, Wendy.

The room I was in would benefit from a ceiling fan with a light fixture. Getting the room lit required going to many lamps and switches and the light was still not adequate for spending time in the evening. Also, I could not find the switch for the lights over the vanity in the bathroom. Also, the curtains were difficult to open and close, though having light blocking curtains was nice.

Breakfast was not included. We were the only guests there, so quiet and Covid safe. It is a beautiful property, lovely garden, flowers, amazing views, only 5 or 6 rooms I think so very safe. We had pool, hot tub and garden to ourselves so that was heavenly. There is no place to really walk from there. We drove up to Choice Market and got Thai food from a little take out place, and had breakfast at Coffee Shack which was excellent. The room was very clean and nice, not exceptional otherwise, except for the view which was amazing. The on site host was very nice. There is a common room where we played cards in evening. Internet was a bit spotty and cable TV was shut off for Covid low season. This is coffee country, many farms on hill above Captain Cook. We snorkeled at "Two Step" it was great, although too many people, like everywhere on Kona side. We very much enjoyed the walk in Pu'uhonua Honaunau national park.

Nothing really, fridge freezer need ed to be defrosted.

The location. The house. The pool. The views. The bed. Amazing! Would be great to have access to a little kitchen cor cooking.

There was no breakfast. The payment through booking was confusing as it showed as paid when e arrived buy the property manager asked us yo get charged - as she hadn’t received the payment.

The inn keepers were excellent hosts! They were most accommodating to all of my needs! I didnt have a car so one of the keepers drove me to destinations I wanted to see and was a great tour guide! The room was comfortable and it opened up to the pool and beautiful views. 😍 I had the best time with great adventures and had best company staying at the Luana Inn!

The jacuzzi is broken and needs to be fixed. The Bed and Breakfast didn't have breakfast at the moment (still in the works) but when asked was still accommodated me with meal options when they were having meals. 😊

View was incredible. Nothing else like it. We had a great deal of privacy in a space where that could have been a challenge. The amenities--pool and hot tube were great ---again the views from there were stunning. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained.

There were not things to dislike really, it's a preference thing. The caretaker on site could have provided more insight on what was available in the immediate area to explore. While the views were stunning getting to the property was a bit harrowing, driving on narrow roads that twist and turn suddenly. Walking on this road (which you could do to get to the ocean) was down right scary--as well as a hefty workout.

It's a beautiful home on the hill, very private, spacious, and clean. You wake up to the songs of a million birds. It's all green, and you can see the ocean far away. The host was exceptional in adjusting to our arrival time and was easy to communicate with. It's a super eco-friendly place, with a chlorine-free pool, recycling, and a big garden filled with cool lizards and magnificent flowers. It's not on the beach (as expected), so you need a car to get to the beach and local restaurants. The hosts give you a great list of places to check out for breakfast, coffee and dinner. The room was spotless and large, with a big comfortable bed. There is also a cute community area with books and coaches. Very cozy and feels like home. I highly recommend this spot for a romantic getaway, meditative private time, or family vacation—a fabulous experience.

Witek the host provides a luxurious home away from home feeling. Our trip was urgent last minute planned to be here for my dads final hour of life. Witek didn't hesitate to offer & provide us a ride to the hospital since we did not have a rental car yet on our 1st day here. His kindness will never be forgotten. I would most definitely stay again.

I have zero complaints. This is an excellent place to stay to experience & enjoy all the beauty of Hawaii
