Candlewood Suites Athens, an IHG Hotel

The building is tucked away from the main road, so it is a bit quieter than other hotels. I was surprised to see a little cooking area. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The bathrooms also had babe brand shampoo, conditioner, and soap

Since the hotel is tucked away, it is a bit hard to find the turn. I wish there was a sign or something to show which turn to take. Also, the bathroom was not the cleanest when we got there. I saw hair and other things on the floor, and the toilet lid didn't fit properly.

Very large and comfortable. Nice facility which is pet friendly. Staff very welcoming. Enjoyed free coffee in the morning

Handicapped room so bathroom always wet after shower as there was no way to keep water from getting on floor even with shower mat. Our room recently ( the day we arrived) painted. Lots of spatters on floor making the floor look very dirty the whole time. Need to purchase plastic silverware for kitchen due to few utensils. Gym hot with little airflow

An excellent 'overnight sleeper' place, traveling trough Athens. Spacious rooms and rather quiet at night.

No breakfast in or around the suites. Just a little shop with some chips and sweets. (A small offering of some sandwiches might add to the offer?)

For $9 more than comparable hotels, we had a great 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen. Staff was great and the whole facility was immaculate. Spacious - we never tripped over our luggage or each other. Quality televisions in living area and bedroom. They even had a recliner! We would definitely stay here again and will be looking for Candlewood Suites as we travel.

They do not have enough luggage carts.

The resort fee that I was charged for but couldn't use . That was $50 that was spent for no reason. The pool was closed and the fireplace and fire pit was not an option in my travels....I would definitely want my money refunded. Also I had to report house keeping opening my door before check out twice....at one point my partner was half dressed . This was very unacceptable

This hotel is good for extended stay. The rooms are a good size and have kitchenette with regular size refrigerator. Bed very comfortable. Staff nice. Housekeeping only weekly for extended stay but they will furnish whatever you need. Big bonus is Free laundry and their gym is open. No hot tub or pool. Overall great value for the amenities.

Only weekly housekeeping. Not sure if this is common practice or because of the pandemic.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Pet friendly!! Kitchen convenient. Enjoyed workout area. Free laundry was a great perk.

Only had 1 plate,bowl, coffee cup. A pair would have been helpful in a king room. I probably should have asked the front desk.

When I went to book this place I thought I was booking somewhere else instead that I had a little bit more luxury components about it. We went in with the intention if it were clean and comfortable to stay the night and move somewhere else the next night. Imagine my surprise when I encountered the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on in a hotel that equally compared to my bed at home a variety of soft clean pillows and a very, very clean room. This is meant to be a extended-stay type of hotel complete with a kitchenette and it has been updated very nicely! The staff are very accommodating and nice coming and going. It was the best mistake I’ve ever made in the world of hotel stays, that is. I would not hesitate to rebook a stay here. We had two rooms and my parents were just as happy with their room as I was with mine.

The security bar was broken on the first room I was given, but I was quickly moved to another room next door.

Very clean and ladies are very professional Free washer and dryers and coffee there is a full size fridge in the room and an electric stove with a big microwave and plenty of cabinet space and a dishwasher . Very spacious room

I didnt like that i couldnt connect my xbox 360 to the wifi or my chromecast . Wifi was sometimes very slow but other than that it was okay

The receptionist was wonderful. However there was little discomfort because the system was down to where I wasn't able to get a key. The receptionist let me in the room. I could have rest a lil longer but didn't want no one walking in while I slept. I know it wasn't the receptionist fault because that's a system error so overall the staff was perfect the facility was good .

Again I wasn't able to rest like I wanted too. I wasn't able to get a key during check-in because the system was down. However I was able to get a room.
