Holiday Inn Gainesville-University Center, an IHG Hotel

The location to campus, grocery, entertainment and building layout are excellent. Publix is behind this hotel but carefully platted so our parking is secure and it’s not busy aside from typical UF traffic. We had excellent AC and comfortable beds. The room was very clean.

The rate was high given the last minute booking but most of the hotels were up priced similarly. At the rate we were at we’d have expected more updated bathroom and complimentary breakfast. These factors were not dealbreakers given the amazing location!

Great location! Publix, Starbucks, Piesano’s, all right there. The price is great compared to other hotels in the area too. Good bang for your buck.

The lobby and room is in good condition but the bathroom leaves much to be desired. Mold on the walls and door, cracked and peeling wall in shower. If you’re a stickler about bathrooms, I’d think twice.

Driving through on our way to St. Louis Mo. Excellent location to University of Florida and lots of eating places. Very friendly staff. Bed sheets and towels were bright white clean. Lots of hot water and shower water pressure was awesome. Rooms were tidy and oohlala cool. Very NICE!!! Check in and out was quick and hassle free. Excellent coffee and a grab breakfast bag with a wonderful assortment of items to eat. The hotel has indoor access to Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant which had a great menu with many food selections and it was amazing.

Needs lots of cleaning. The door to the public restroom was grimy/grungy feeling. The place could use a new coat of paint. The carpeting needs cleaning but would rather see it replaced. Watch out if you have little people as the door will slam shut. No USV ports to charge your devices.

Awesome location. I don't remember the description saying it was right next to UF. It should if it doesn't. It does say near by, but this is literally right across the street from the Business School of UF. Very convenient!

The parking lot didn't give me a lot of confidence. I had my car loaded with college dorm items and had to park overnight. Everything was fine, but I ended up backing into a spot in the back lot against the fence facing Publix, away from the street, and hopefully with some cameras (although I didn't see them, if they were there). I wanted to make sure there was no theft. They hotel could offer a security guard, very visible, that walks the parking 360 degree lot around the hotel. I didn't see one, if there is one at night would offer some security to guests.

Staff at counter and at breakfast 2ere excellent! Location is perfect for UF visit.

The AC in our room seemed to occasionally blow hot air out and the room 415, never really got cold.

I like that it was very clean and the service and the people was excellent. The beds and bathroom the room over all was very clean. The housekeepers and the front desk people was very nice and polite.

The parking lot wasn't that great but I really don't have any complaints. The location was good cause everything needed was really in walking distance. so no complaints from me. Thank you guys for the great service. I look forward to staying with you in the near future.

Good location in center of Gainesville. Restaurants and shops close by. Quick check in and nice staff. Nice, big, modern and well equipped room, WIFI, fridge, air conditioning and TV. Free parking on site.

The staff was above par. Beds were super comfy. Paisano restaurant on premises was the bomb. Awesome food. Super busy but fast friendly service.

I had to plan a trip with rest stops. This was the standard of measure for our 4 stays. So far none have been as good as Holiday Inn Gainesville. Only negative was exhaust fan not working in bathroom. Was a steamy sauna for shower.

The first room I got had a smell of wet carpet but right away the front desk changed me to another room with no questions asked and apologized for my inconvenience. They are always so nice and polite and make sure I have an excellent stay every time.

There's nothing that I didn't like I always have an excellent stay and the staff and people are always so nice.
