SpringHill Suites Danbury

I liked that it was easy to find right off the interstate which was especially helpful considering the stay was not planned. Didn't see many eating places near the hotel but the hotel did have a few snacks for purchase inside which was useful. I've stayed at other Springhill Suites and the walls sound proof is generally very poor. However thankfully at this location this was not the case. Our room was directly in front of the elevator and we didnt even hear when folks would get on and off which was great. The front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast was fair. Ready made sandwiches kept in a warmer, assorted juices, banana, yogurt, milk, cold cereal, bagels, tea and coffee.

It was quite expensive to stay just one night which I didn't like $189 plus tax. Also the room was not clean very well. There was hair in the tub, food left in the mini fridge and a hanger that didnt belong to the hotel. It wasn't a deal breaker only because I brought my own supplies to clean and sanitize the room. But since covid is still around it would be nice if hotels took the extra care needed to minimize risks.

We enjoyed our stay. We traveled for a family gathering. The suite was perfect.

The breakfast was awful. We waited till 9am because there were other groups. There was nothing left and it was not restocked. When we expressed our concern, the hostess told us she had large groups and it was over Memorial Day weekend, all the more reason to be stocked up. The quality of foods was poor. They did not even supply individual creamers, just a pitcher of cream or milk. We couldn't even get a slice of toast, bagel or pastry. I would like a refund for breakfast.

The rooms were large and clean. It was very quiet. Nice to have flavored water in the lobby upon arrival. Nice topping for the yogurt.

The breakfast was marginal. The bare minimum, I expected more for the price of the room. No fresh fruit, no waffles or pancakes to make. Two shampoo canisters and one conditioner in the shower...no body soap except the small bar at the sink. My bottle of tea froze overnight in the refrigerator!

My husband and I stayed there years ago, and we had a nice stay. The Staff was really nice and helpful. No complaints, with the hospitality. One of the Staff members helped my husband to our room, while I was checking in, since he is disabled.

What I didn't like was is that, I was charged for the whole weekend. Unfortunately we ended up having to leave on Saturday, due to me being tested having Covid. It was most upsetting, because we couldn't go to see our Grandson's Confirmation. Not only that, but I didn't want to infect the hotel. And this is the first time I've been sick, since Covid hit.

#1 thing I liked was the staff - from the first moment of arrival through departure, they were professional, friendly and responsive. Special kudos to Lendita!

King suite seemed rather cramped - definitely smaller and not as well-designed as the Double Queen suite I booked for another family member.

very pleased with SpringHill Suites Danbury, especially comparing it to two recent overnight stays at two different hotels in the region. I was greeted with a friendly staff member upon reception. The room was adequate and comfortable in size and cleanliness. The bed was firm with nice linens. While I did not partake of any breakfast other than coffee, it was nice to have fresh coffee downstairs and I saw staff available for any assistance if needed. I would choose to return to Spring Hill Suites.

If I had to nitpick, the towels were not soft or thick but were adequate.

The location to businesses and what I was traveling to see. It was very clean, we had plenty of space, the bed were comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good.

The only thing I can think of was the limited channel selection but we weren't in the room for long so it really didn't matter.

SpringHill Suites Danbury was exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. I loved the layout of the room with the toilet and bath separated from the sink by a door. But the best was the no-noise, no mustiness, and perfect temperature HVAC system.

Location, availability, and spacious.

The room had a slightly damp smell. A complimentary bottle of water would be nice. The refrigerator had a half empty bottle of wine...most likely from previous customers, which led me to believe room hadn't been properly cleaned.

The room was excellent. the two TV's were a plus!

The only negative thing I can say was the breakfast. The selection was not what I expected and when someone is away, they do not want to have to run down stairs before 9:30 am to get breakfast. You should change the website if you do not offer what they show.
