Bath Street Inn

The host was very kind and helpful. She brought me some lovely handmade cookies on my arrival. The room was cozy and quaint. The breakfast was delicious. Great position, a few minutes walking distance from the centre of Santa Barbara. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

It would've been nice if the host asked what I would prefer for breakfast. I loved it as it was delicious but I'm not really good with loads of sugary food in the morning I prefer savoury food to start the day without a massive sugar peak. I liked there was variety of food and the second breakfast had a nice omelette instead.

We liked the Bath Street Inn very much. It is an old victorian home so it is a bit quirky. Bathrooms are pristine but don’t have the efficient lay out of a more modern bathroom. Most will find it part of the charm. Getting to most rooms will require going up and down stairs but some are on the first level.

I really enjoyed my stay at the house Bath Street Inn - the separate front and back areas with their own rooms provided a great amount of privacy, and the cozy reading nook and dining area in the front house were especially nice. But the breakfast was truly exceptional and one of the highlights of my stay. There is also a quite large parking space in the behind where it is possible to park 10 or 12 cars.

The location was perfect - close to downtown, restaurants, the beach, etc.

When we are on vacation, we like to enjoy a relaxing meal. although the breakfasts were delicious, everything came out at once. If you had an 8:30 sitting, coffee and everything else came out at the same time and you were served everything - coffee or tea, orange juice, a fruit dish and granola, poached egg and the main course. A good idea would be to ask guests what they would like for breakfast of the items served so no food is wasted, meal is still hot and you are not overwhelmed with food.

The host and the staff were just lovely, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and served in a lovely location on a terrace. The property overall was lovely, we really liked sitting on the porch at the front overlooking the gardens.

The country suite while spacious was very tired in its appearance and the fridge was very noisy when it operated at night. The bathroom was also tired in appearance and the toilet had not been cleaned from previous guests. When we pointed this out we received a sincere apology and it was cleaned immediately so problem solved.

Enjoyed the cookie and coffee service. All staff we interacted with were very helpful and pleasant. The rocking chairs on the front porch were a very nice touch.

My personal preference would be for the wine 'happy hour' to start earlier than 5:30, perhaps 4:30 or 5:00. More outdoor lounge seating. I found the scent of the body/hand lotion to be off-putting.

Loved staying here! The room was a bit snug but comfortable. We had the balcony room and enjoyed drinking tea and coffee out there in the morning. The free breakfast was tasty and filling! Loved the common area and the staff were very sweet. And the location is stellar, very close to downtown SB.

Low ceilings near the bed that my 6’3 bf had to maneuver around, somewhat tight quarters.

The bed was very comfortable. The main praise I would have is for the breakfast. The food was amazing. Every day we had a different dish, and they were all wonderful. The patio eating area was very nice because the weather was so great. The afternoon cookies and drinks were a special bonus and it was great having our room cleaned every day. The handicap access wasn't good. I had a knot in the back of my knee during this trip and I have chronic back pain and every where we went at the facility, we had steps and most didn't have rails. I couldn't even get up the front steps to go in the front entrance because there were no rails on the steps. We had a similar situation at an Air bob in Laurel, MS this year, and I have decided to probably not stay at any more bed and breakfasts for this reason.

From the beautiful entrance with blooming orange and tangerine trees to the jazz music playing in living room, Bath Street Inn was definitely one of the best places I've stayed so far for this price. The room was comfortable and gave a sense of home. The next morning, we had breakfast with fresh yogurt and granola and a delicious omelet.

Considering the amount of fresh oranges and tangerines available right on the property, I would expect that they could serve freshly squeezed juice during breakfast. That would be the cherry on top of this amazing stay.

Very charming B&B with very friendly and warm service. There are complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) in the living room all day long and homemade cookies and wine in the afternoon. We had to check in really late and the host kindly offered to leave some cookies and wine in the room for us. Breakfast was very wholesome and tasty. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Bathroom was quite dated (bathtub and shower head) but nothing that prevented us from having a good shower and good night sleep.
