We loved our stay at Old Ranch Inn. The property is cozy and intimate. We appreciated the ability to do a late self check-in; the a/c was ready for us when we arrived (which was essential under an Excessive Heat Warning), as were black and white movies playing silently on the TV, which lent a magical touch perfectly fitting of Palm Springs. The room was spotless, and the bedding was divine. We enjoyed the kitchenette and the little private patio, which would be perfect for guests with dogs as this is a pet-friendly hotel. There was a minor issue with condensation from the a/c wetting the carpet, but Jason and Troy came over right away to investigate the issue, and had a contractor ready immediately the next morning (on a holiday) to fix the problem.

No complaints! We would stay again.

Location great with only a short walk to the main street with restaurants and shops, plenty of parking too nearby if no space outside the hotel. Exceeded our expectations, the kitchenette had everything required, bed was comfy, breakfast and coffee was nice on the private gated area which was quiet. Check in was very easy, received a code for the entrance and the room # in advance and could go straight there. Bonus points for there being pool floats available to use and sunscreen if you either forgot to pack it or ran out. We actually changed our plans and stayed an extra night because it was so relaxing here. Would stay again on a future trip.

The whole property, albeit small, was absolutely immaculate. The room was so comfortable and felt kinda like being in your own bedroom. There was a small kitchenette with Starbucks K-cup, sink, fridge, and microwave. It was quaint and relaxing and close to the maim street where all the restaurants are. If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway, this is the place for you. I believe there are 8 rooms total. All king suites with a small private patio. Check in and out was a breeze. Owner was kind. We also brought our dog with us for a small fee.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Exceptional place! The owners really know how to design, decorate, garden, and create a beautiful environment! They even had both regular bicycles and electric bike for use (free)! The location was also amazing! We were one block from the main drag. We even came on the day of the night market - which was super cool! Live music was everywhere and the street was blocked off for walking. We were on our way to a wine festival in Santa Barbara, and this was a perfect half way stop. We WILL go back to this hotel for a longer stay!

It was perfect!

Small inn with large, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Fridge, micro, toaster, blender, and Keurig in room. Rooms open to courtyard pool with lounge chairs and sunny and shady places to sit. Ice machine and cold water by pool. Short walk to downtown restaurants and shops.

Staff were never around. They text you check in details. Rule about no personal music at pool was broken repeatedly, but no one was there to enforce it. Housekeeper was so aggressive to clean our room that reusable plastic containers we brought from home were thrown out.

My husband and I discovered this hidden little gem when we were trying to find a place to stay for a mini getaway. Absolutely loved this place! Very cute ranch style inn with only 8 suites so it’s very intimate. Staff was super nice and friendly, pool was great, our suite was directly next to the pool which was awesome. You had your own little private mini front patio with 2 chairs , pool towels, and a mat. Plus an added mini back patio with a cute patio table and 2 chairs. I have to say, the towels in the bathroom were the best I’ve ever come across.. soft and thick and super absorbent. The only one things I can suggest is a plastic bag for dirty clothes which most hotels have for dry cleaning needs snd such that’s usually in the clothes rack area and maybe in the future, have a cocktail / bar area with some finger foods, appetizers to enjoy while you’re at the pool, and a little relaxing music would be great. But I’m assuming it’s because of the Covid precautions that no food or alcohol was available. Other than that, parking was super convenient, right out front , and we definitely are coming back!!

The location was walking distance close close to town. There were only 8 rooms and the guests were friendly. The rooms are very large with mine being directionally off the pool. This place is quiet and quaint, a great place to chill out and relax after a day of exploring Palm Springs and the surrounding areas. I will definitely be back no matter the price in the high season.

My only concern was the toilet. I'm only 4'10", but the toilet was too low to the ground for me. They need taller toilets. People with hip or knee issues will have difficulties. I like a very dark room for sleeping and there was too much light for me, but that is my preference.

Loved the comfort, the pool, and the relaxing atmosphere. Each room has an outdoor table and chairs on a little patio. My dog also had a great time as they, along with the surrounding vicinity, is very pet friendly. The room temperatures are extremely comfortable and are chilled with evaporative coolers, which feel so much better than a/c! The pool was sparkling clean and we mingled with other friendly guests, many of them hotel regular visitors. Jason, the co-owner, is most helpful and knowledgeable, and a wonderful host!

Soft drinks, juices, and even beer and wine, would have been a nice touch. You must bring anything you want (except water) to the facility.

Love, loved, loved our stay here. My partner and I (gay couple) stayed here on our Californian road trip. From the moment we arrived in the desert heat we were greeted by an envelope on the door with the same details we were texted/emailed earlier that day on how to check in. We easily found our room, great A.C, spacious, impeccably clean, equipped kitchenette (perfect for making breakfast). We felt safe, comfortable and at home. Super comfy large bed, guessing memory foam? We shared the pool with a lovely couple from Pasadena, L.A. who were just the cherry on top of our stay here. We enjoyed using the bikes on the property to cycle around Palm Springs. Ample parking for our car. Short walk to great restaurants like The Farm and fun shops like Queertique. The size and nature of the property felt like a small boutique hotel, like the ones we are accustomed to back home in Europe. Loved that it’s pet friendly and not kid friendly too. Nothing really - one tiny remark would be that it would have been nice to see a friendly welcoming face handing us over the keys rather than a self check in.
