Centrally located so you can walk almost anywhere in Monterey Park - tons of (Chinese) restaurants are nearby. Lots of variety for the included breakfast, though the only Chinese options were 炒麵 and 粥 (I had the latter, along with provided 花生 and 泡菜). No 油條 or 豆漿。 Very comfortable room, with nice views. Late checkout time (12:00). Ability to borrow the TV's native remote so you can use its "smart" options. Free parking. 服務員都講中文。

USB charging ports didn't work. No tea in the room, only coffee, though when asked they gave me a tea bag.

Front desk were so nice! I called them ahead of time to let them know I was going to check in one hour late, they said it's no big deal and even cracked some jokes to make me laugh <3 The hotel was easy to find and parking was no trouble! The place looked great as we walked in and our room was even better. They provide dispenser hand soap that is attached to the wall (which i love because i hate hotel soap bars!) and even great smelling body wash, shampoo, and conditioner on the wall in the shower! Their customer service is great! On the first day we couldn't figure out how the hot water worked and when we called they were quick to send someone over to take a look. Nothing was broken, just couldn't figure it out haha! My favorite aspect about this place is how peaceful it was staying here, even the check in and check out process was so quick. No noisy neighbors (maybe their walls are just great at keeping noise in), easy to find parking, and the breakfast was wonderful. They had some of my favorites like porridge and tea eggs, i love that they added that! And your classic fresh waffles, toast, fruits, and coffee and so much more

If I had to have one complaint, it's that their beds are so hard we all laughed when we laid down .. Feels a bit like sleeping on the floor but with a thick blanket? At the end of a long day, the bed was so comfortable we were just excited to fall asleep. Their bath towels as well are small, they don't cover much of my body, i'm about 5'4 and it falls right under my butt (a little weird for if you're staying with other people). They were thin as well so they got wet quickly. These weren't such big problems, we made it through the weekend overall above satisfied! Nothing a blanket and towel from home can't fix.

Little smell but if you open window less than 5 min air goes clean .. Breakfast server or waffle maker rude asking while i put food in my plate is you taking food upstairs to room if there is no space or i want to eat later is my choice i ask front desk they say no worries you can take it to room but breakfast server always watching to all who taking food upstairs and how much taking food I don’t like that rude behavior

Stayed in room 526 this time, everything was ok, the room is right next to the emergency exit so escaping a fire it's the best room for it! Towels, mini-fridge are all available for use in the room. All great!

I truly hope they can remodel or repair some of the facilities in the hotel. Prices all went up by about 25-35 USD but I can understand due to the pandemics & economy. The button for the lift they replaced it within 1 day, great. However, sometimes I still think in the room they can put more shampoo, body wash in the container. Moreover, I hope they can fix the water leakage in the bathtub from time to time in room 526, otherwise it will cost so much water. Also phone signal in room 526(or on the 5th floor) was bad; it takes me lots of tries to call, so I decided to go to the lobby to talk.

Everything was good, check in was easy & quick, Hand sanitizers are in the lobby for your use. Around the area, lots of restaurants are within walking distance that includes a bakery. Supermarkets are both to the west/north & east. In the lobby, there's a mini shop there for your convenience, however it only opens for 4 hours an interval.

This time wasn't so great in room 709, the toilet is a bit too small & shower curtain smelled like sweat. Again shampoo & body wash need to be added because there are barely any left in the holders. Wish we can use the stairs not as as the emergency exits but also as a normal way of exiting or going to another floor without taking the lift.

Breakfast was decent. I had a stay one and a half years ago and it was better. Still it was not bad and had all the basic items for breakfast.

The staff was basically nice. There was an older lady at the front desk working the afternoon shift who was extremely friendly and helpful. However, there was a young man working night shift and he was not too friendly. I said good morning to him and he did not even respond. Maybe he is in a wrong line of work.

The size of the room was pretty big. The room was quite clean. Staff were quite friendly. The included breakfast was great. Food was good.

Since my stay was not in the main travel season, the price for the room was little higher than I expected. Some discounts or coupons for near by restaurants would be a plus.

Everything is still the same old, nothing too different. Only catch is that rooms are getting older because the hotel is already nearly 40 years old! Renovation project definitely needs to take place soon to make the hotel better. Table is very long & spacious in which fits all my materials. Breakfast was nice. Very close to a lot of classic restaurants in the city centre! I still love to stay here, it feels like a family house.

A bit of a smell in the room. Perhaps time to remodel the rooms.

I was relieved it was clean and quiet too. The breakfast was perfect for kids. Waffles, toast, cereal, oatmeal, juice.

The chair in our room was dirty... that was the only negative thing.

Still very nice & the same hotel as from last year! I enjoyed the nearby restaurants, especially Yin Tang(Ma La T-ang) restaurant just north of the hotel! Back in the 80s--90s, this hotel used to be 1 of the most popular wonderful, ornate, exclusive hotels there! Not anymore now but it's still pretty nice here! My room was spacious with a window view to the north. The other nearby restaurants are all within walking distance 10--20 min. Since Monterey Park is predominantly a Chinese community, I really enjoyed staying here!

Well, the poles in the shower is rusty...it needs replacement. They've replaced the AC which is great! Then 1 of my towels was dirty with food stains on it too...perhaps we need better laundry washing detergent?
