Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix - East Mesa in Gilbert

The location was excellent. I was minutes away from shopping and dining and right off the freeway. After driving for 6 hours, it was nice to get off the freeway and the hotel be right there. Conveniently, there was a Dutch bros coffee right there for easy coffee in the morning and a cracker barrel right next door as well. They also had breakfast served at the hotel.

No water in the vending machine and I couldn't bring my dog.

The staff was exceptionally kind, our room was clean, all of the amenities were very well maintained and we were overall very happy with our stay. We especially liked the location as it is close to several restaurants, shopping and easily accessible to freeways.

Nothing- we enjoyed our stay and couldn’t really think of any downfalls. The only minor issue was that the vending machine was out of order on our floor. But, that wasn’t a deal breaker.

The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. We needed an early check in for my elderly mother as I was in town to work. They were able to accommodate this request and let her check in early. The room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. Every employee at the front desk was friendly.

the staff is VERY friendly and VERY helpful, the text mgs to ensure everything was going well was a very nice touch.

the Gas fire pit out side was not working at the time of my visit.

We loved the breakfast, the staff. When we arrived the pool was unavailable and they said it would be available the next day. The next day we went to the pool and a guest said it wasn't open as we were leaving one of the maintenance people said that the pool was ok to go in. he let the manager know.

There was miscommunication between Booking. com and the Hotel. I had paid for the hotel through booking.com and when I got to the hotel it said that I didn't pay so the hotel had to charge my hotel to my card.

Great location, plenty to eat close, plenty if shops/stores nearby, easy to get to highway. Breakfast was hot, and there was plenty.

Pool and hot tub not available due to recent wind damage. Nothing the hotel could do, but they did offer a nearby hotel you could use their facilities.

Staff was great...breakfast was adequate...locale to the cancer clinic was exceptional...they allowed for a late checkout due to the treatment we were having at the clinic.

Bottom of toilet seat was soiled. Pillows were way too HARD and didn't allow or a comfortable sleep.

We loved the staff....friendly, accommodating & just plain nice. The room & bathroom were very clean. The shower was nice. There were the right number of pillows for sitting up in bed. The desk chair was incredibly comfortable. The fridge was actually cold & the air conditioning was well regulated via a thermostat. The breakfast was as expected & adequate for a covid year. Looking forward to non covid breakfasts next year.

The bed was a bit lumpy & hard. The walls are incredibly thin. Also, the carpet was looking a bit worn. There was no microwave in room.

The staff service was excellent, helpful & friendly. Breakfast was served well , it was busy & staff served from the kitchen nook, very accommodating & efficient . Rooms were very clean & spacious. Comfortable beds. Bathroom was large, great shower, water pressure. We all enjoyed stay & will book again.

The door leading to outdoor pool malfunctioned, as in locked. We noticed no one was able to come in to pool area & staff was unable to open door. It was evening, staff said it would be fixed next day. No one was able to get back in that way, we had to walk around from gate along outside hotel through lobby to get in. Due to pandemic , you have to request cleaning & bed change. We stayed 4 nites, requested room service after 2 days, Only bathroom towels were changed& shampoo replenished. Nothing else was done. Beds remained unchanged, comforters pulled up on each 4 beds in two rooms. Sheets not changed. Although the Tip was taken. We were all disappointed, as everything else was excellent.

I liked the warm breakfast bar. The staff was welcoming. We liked our room. We liked the location because it was near a lot of restaurants and businesses.

The chair in our hotel room had stains on it and the curtain in the room had food/stains on it as well. The floors in the elevator were muddy/dirty and had a ton of big scuff marks on them. Besides those things everything was clean.
