Hampton Inn By Hilton Jacksonville

My husband and I were in Jacksonville, AL. for the McMillian family reunion.The Hampton Inn , Jacksonville AL was the hotel selected by the reunion committee as the hotel to stay at because it is 12 miles from the family reunion venue.

There was an issue with our TV the first night of our stay. Maintenance fixed the issue the next day. The water pressure was very low in the bathroom faucet and shower all 4 nights we were at the hotel. The conceige indicated a valve was being replaced this week to fix that issue.

The front desk attendant was wonderful, as was the amazing breakfast buffett. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom was roomy, with a great shower!

Communication prior to check-in was impossible. I sent many messages through Booking and none were answered by the hotel. When we checked in, we were told they got no messages. We needed a rollaway bed for my daughter who ended up sleeping on the floor. When I never got a message reply, I tried to call, numerous times, and the line was always busy, no voicemail option, just busy. EVERY TIME I CALLED.

We were very impressed with the ladies who were providing breakfast. They were constantly replenishing the selection and making sure that the seating area was clean - wiping down tables, sweeping the floor, etc.. (there were many families with young children ). Additionally, another person washed the floor of one of the elevators where someone had tracked red clay off cleats or sneakers. Their attention to detail was commendable.

We rode our bikes from Georgia. The staff was super helpful and concerned about our well-being.

All was good.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The heating unit blew cold air for 10 minutes before it turned to heat. I booked the room through Booking.com. I booked the room based on my needs and the price quoted. The next morning I received an email detailing the total charges of the room, which showed a $40.00 increase from what I was initially quoted. Upon checkout, I asked the lady at the service counter why the room charge was higher, and she said they have no control over what Booking.com quotes vs. the amount they charge. She said I would have to contact Booking.com to dispute it. She was of no further help. I attempted to contact both Booking.com and Hampton Inn and have not been contacted by either business. If the hotel isn't going to honor the quote from Booking.com, why use Booking.com to reserve a room?

Our stay was excellent. I am from Jacksonville and was home visiting. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful. We found someone's wallet and they were ON IT to locate the owner. The food was delicious. My 5 year old LOVED the smoothies and my 10 year old had a waffle with chocolate chips every morning. The beds are comfy and I LOVE the comforter (seriously, where can I buy one...I need a king size for my bed at home). Thanks for a wonderful stay, I have already booked for another!! Seriously though, every staff member needs a BIG thank you...from laundry to breakfast to the front desk, to the man cleaning the carpets...all the behind the scenes folks. They all rock.

Nothing. It was all great. I honestly have NOTHING that I can complain about. The coffee is good, the beds are comfy, the room temps are great.

My room was next to the kitchen and across the hall from the maintenance / staff room and so there was lots of "foot" traffic and early morning sounds from the kitchen and someone in the maintenance room had their radio or tv so LOUD I could hear it over my tv...

The entire staff was exceptional. My only concern was the manager was there when we arrived and before we checked out the next day. I told her that I pray that she works for a company that appreciates her loyalty! And she responded that she does!!!

Everything and everyone was on point! Beautiful decor for the holidays as well. This was a pleasant experience.

Great stay .Comfortable beds room was very clean and looked nice. Great staff everyone was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great even though I didn't expect it as most places aren't doing it right now but it made my day that they are. Food was great coffee choices were great. Overall the stay was great.

The only downside is the water doesn't get hot. ( could be due to housekeeping doing laundry in the morning but it was a little frustrating

Big room with comfortable beds. Nice breakfast and very nice staff.

Everything was good but the hotel could think more about recycling since every cup and dish was paper and/or plastic ;-)
