Friendly Staff

Insufficient Disabled Car Parking adjacent to Hotel Room. No Disabled parking in Hotel Main Car park On our visit only a handful of patrons occupied the outside under canopy Restaurant and Bar areas that could be allocated for Disabled parking. No information of Hotel in rooms. No information of surrounding areas to visit, in rooms. No Phones in room - not everyone has smart mobile phones Not able to use Fan in room as it only had a continental two pin plug Radiator in room was on highest setting unnecessarily on a hot Suuny day. Should have been assessed and adjusted during the preparing room before our arrival process.

Very nice hotel, nice interior design throughout, our bedroom was a good size, restaurant area welcoming and we had steak which was very nice. There is also a nice breakfast room.

Abrupt sign in our bathroom with almost threatening wording that £20 would be charged if toiletries were taken but it didn't specify which ones so you felt almost guilty for using the bath / shower gel ! No brown sauce served with full English breakfast. Cheap loo paper. Potentially dangerous entrance via public carpark and blind exit from hotel carpark as we had a near miss on exit.

The staff were excellent in every case. We particularly enjoyed the service provided by Lucy Lu - very attentive, professional, accurate and always smiling/welcoming. It is people that make the difference. Woburn has exceptional staff from cleaning to front desk to servers. They should all be commended but Lucy, in particular, rewarded.

I would have preferred more room. With all our luggage, things were very cramped. I also would have liked a refrigerator in the room.

The location was perfect for us. We visited a spa the the next day and it was only a short drive to get there. Check in was a breeze and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a spot of trouble with the radiator in our room and when we reported it we were helped straightaway which was wonderful. The restaurant staff, service, and food were exceptional. Close to local attractions. Great parking too!

The only fault was that the room was cold when we arrived this was soon remedied by staff with a portable heater. There wasn't any other issues that caused a problem.

We met for 3 nights with a group of old friends to visit the local area. The staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms were quiet and comfortable and we all enjoyed the lovely breakfasts. Thank you to everyone at The Woburn.

We are a mature couple who stayed in Thorne Cottage. Overall we were happy, but the room needs better lighting on the steep steps down to the bathroom. In my view the room would be more suited to younger guests.

Stunning hotel, very clean and nicely appointed - a beautiful blend of history with some very trendy touches. Benjy welcomed us at check in and it was without doubt the best check in experience ive ever had. So polite, helpful and thorough. The suite was plush, well set up and had fantastic little touches - they knew we had kids with us and had made up the sofa bed, included some plastic cups and cutlery which was such a nice touch. everything worked perfectly and was very clean. We ate dinner in the restaurant that night and it was fabulous - great wine choice, good range of options and once again nice little touches ie kids pizza had bunny ears made out of dough. incredible desserts and service. however, the very best part of the stay was the breakfast! stunning set up, hot food cooked to order and delicious, coffee was top notch and the restaurant so light and stylish. I will be staying here many times in my life and will recommend to anyone who will listen!

The reception and domestic staff were very friendly and helpful. The catering and restaurant staff at breakfast on Saturday and Friday evening were very friendly too! The facilities and location was great! We read some bad review about water and noise, we did not have any of this. The windows were sound proof and there was water in the room, refreshed daily!

The restaurant staff were a bit rude and dissmissive at dinner on Saturday night, and the prices for hotel guests were the same as general guests not staying. It would be nice if there was a discount for hotel staying guests. There was also no signal phone in the hotel.. but WiFi was great and we got signal as we drove out. This isn't ideal in emergencies, as there is also no phones in the room, they leave a number to call in emergencies, but if there's no signal.. how do we call?? We were both on EE.

Lovely staff, young man on reception very welcoming. We had one of the courtyard cottages which was a beautiful room with very high ceiling, original features and sophisticatedly furnished. Large comfy bed, plenty storage and spacious bathroom- everything you’d want. Free parking on site was a bonus.

Wedding in courtyard quite noisy but luckily we went out for the afternoon and weren’t back til late by which time it was quiet again. Breakfast average, bit disorganised - would be nice if staff would greet you and explain how it works as we didn’t know if it was table service or buffet or what….

The bar staff were amazing and attentive, particularly the gentleman who appeared to be the Bar Manager. Reception was also smooth and efficient. I was able to park my motorbike on the courtyard without fear of anything happening to it, as was not in view of the street. They do have their own car park too, and this is free to guests. Room was the standard cream / traditional affair, but the bed was king size and very comfortable. Coffee/ tea and a kettle plus two small water bottles are provided in the room (glass bottles, which is class). The patio and gazebo outside is truly beautiful and ideal for eating al.fresco in the summer or warm evening. The restaurant is truly beautiful and has several rooms, all very tastefully decorated. I had dinner and breakfast and were both excellent and the quality of the ingredients was top notch. Will definitely return with my partner as soon as I can. It says 3 stars but could very easily be 4 stars. Well done to all for such an easy and relaxing experience.

It was well situated in the village of Woburn for a wedding held at the nearby Woburn Tea Rooms. The restaurant food was good and they had lots of vegetarian options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely outdoor seating area which was perfect during the hot weather.

The room was not air conditioned. A small fan was provided but this was ineffective.
