it was old & quirky, food was excellent, Staff were superb and very helpful. The place had a relaxed and hip vibe.

The “SMELL” of sewerage in a particular old part of the reception and bar. It was explained to us that it was due to old drainage. But I am afraid that answer isn’t good enough. The smell was totally over powering at particular times of the night. We watched a number of people move their tables because of the smell! Please Please sort this out… it was the only complaint we had if the Oatlands Chaser. we spoke with other customers and all mentioned the Smell! I am afraid you may have to spend some money to sort this out but you must. e losing an awful lot of “return” customers as a result of this issue. Sort it out please.. we will stop again but will not be very happy if the management have not sorted this out when we come back!!! Cheers

A well equipped room with everything you need for a one night stay. Very helpful and friendly staff . Excellent breakfast included in the price we paid which was well cooked and very good quality. Plenty of easy car parking at no extra charge . Nice , walk in shower. Very good value for money. We also had a good lunch. Much better than your average pub food. As a nightcap I had an excellent Expresso Martini. All in all I nearly gave this property a 10 but see below.

Our room was a little small and a strange shape which we think was attributable to the old building. Fine for one person but slightly cramped for 2. Can't complain at that price but it seems to be pot luck as to what size room you get, though . I booked 2 rooms and the others in our party had a much bigger and better room. I would definitely stay here again if I could guarantee that room , or similar !

The hotel was lovely, room was lovely and clean, very accessible and bathroom a wet room also and spacious. I would definitely recommend staying here, food is very lovely also and the staff were all really helpful regarding informing us what food was gluten free and in the morning they also had gluten free bread to go along with poached eggs too. We have already tried to stay here again but unfortunately it's during their renovation period.

The only issue we had was the pull out sofa bed was a little uncomfortable for my son as the bar was digging in, and the pillows a little soft but that is personal opinion, room very clean could maybe be a little brighter main light.

The location was lovely. All the staff we had dealings with were top notch. We had dinner and breakfast and everything was delicious. For what we paid for breakfast the quality was extremely good. The room was really big. Huge bed.

So I don't want this to reflect on the staff or the pub at all but the rooms were really worn. The sofa bed was a tad dangerous for kids and my daughter scratched her leg on the exposed metal. They rooms need updating badly. There was a fan right outside out window which we think was for the toilets which was super loud but thankfully once the pub shut this turned off. Even with these things it ticked the boxes.
