Beautiful property right on the seafront. The hotel is absolutely a pleasure to stay in. The deluxe rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in St Margaret’s and it was beautiful the bath in the middle of the room was fantastic. We booked a table in the restaurant and the food was very good. After food we went in to the bar which has comfortable settees to sit on and enjoy a nice drink.

Parking is limited at the hotel which you are told about before your stay. This is ant an issue as a three minute walk away is a large car park which is only £7 for 24 hours.

The staff were so helpful. I booked one night in a different room due to the train strikes and they made the transfer across to the original room really easy. The first room was lovely bit had a ticking clock with the wrong time (I set it) but I don't think a clock ticking is a good thing for a bedroom 😀 My original room was just amazing. Best room I'd ever stayed in. Bed so comfortable and great shower etc. Bar was good and decent prices for a hotel. Good draught beer.

The clock. The room service was variable and I had to ask for toilet roll and shower/shampoo sachets. Also didn't have a mat for the shower room until the last day. I am not a big eater at breakfast but had this included. The bacon was very hard each time I had the full breakfast, couldn't cut it easily. I felt there should have been more buffet available perhaps as an alternative though there were nice pastries, the cinnamon ones especially. The waiting staff were really efficient and helpful. I had an issue as a service charge had been added to my evening meal but they resolved this.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful flowers and plants outside. People were getting pictures taken! The hotel has wonderful views over the beaches, and it’s very flat to walk into town. Staff have all been very friendly and helpful. Special mention has to go to James. Whether he was serving in the dining room or working in the bar, he was always friendly, chatty and lovely. Our rooms (102 and 108) were huge, clean and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated with lots of thought given in the design. Bathrooms were also huge with good toiletries and lots of fluffy, soft towels. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and delivered hot. Lots of items to choose from too. We also had dinner in the hotel on two evenings and each time was lovely, tasty food.

We liked everything.

Nice comfortable hotel

As there was decorators there and sheets on stairs I would have expected a lower price point

I had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach. It had a stunning view and during the night I kept the window open and could hear the sea. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the water pressure was really good in the shower. Its well located with a nearby pay and display car park.

When they confirmed my booking the day before I arrived their message indicated they regularly have wedding parties and there may be noise. Thankfully there wasn't on the night I stayed but they should state this before you book so people who are noise sensitive can make an informed choice.

The view from the room was magnificent. It was relatively quiet at night and we could hear the ocean waves. The bed was comfy and very clean. Breakfast was good but wouldn’t say it was exceptional. Selection of cooked breakfasts was great though.

Too expensive for what was provided. The tea and coffee facilities were more than basic (only 1 type of tea and instant coffee, no biscuits), no other extras in the room that I would have expected for the price. The shower essentials were just general all purpose sachets. Seemed cheap. Unfortunately there was also a strong sewer smell in the bathroom. Sachets of sauces were also part of the breakfast, where I personally think it is just as cheap to pop some sauces in a ramekin if guests require them. Saves plastic as well. All in all ok but too expensive for what it was.

Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Breakfast was a good variety to choose from. The fruit was fresh and delicious. While my room was small it was very comfortable and cute. I was out most of the time anyway. The bed was comfortable; it was nice to be able to open the window for fresh air. Your location is terrific! I was easily able to walk the town, walk to restaurants, walk on the beach. The hotel itself was well appointed and very clean. I appreciated having the option to recycle. The entry way was beautiful and elegant looking with the lovely flowers and classic signage. The desk staff as well as the restaurant staff were polite, helpful and gracious. A 10+ rating! Thank you!

Maybe the room a bit larger; only writing that bc you’re asking for something. But I cannot really think of anything to improve on.

Had a great night's stay at the Giltar hotel, the room was really spacious as was the bathroom. The shower was lovely and powerful. I loved the fact the sash windows opened so you could really take in the view properly. The location is literally spot on. The views were gorgeous and you were literally opposite where the open top bus stops to take you over to Saundersfoot if you wished. All the staff were polite and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely too. We'd definitely return.

The car park for the hotel is small, however I think being in such a prime seafront location it's lucky to have that available if you can park in the first place! There is parking literally a stones throw away which is £7 for 24 hours.

This has the air of the kind of handsome seaside hotel one reads about in books - gracious architecture, perfect location and run by friendly, kindly people wanting you to enjoy your stay. The place is spotless, all nicely decorated, the rooms are well equipped, the bed comfortable - the bathroom a bit titchy but that's the way nowadays. We had an an excellent dinner although breakfast was disappointing. Being a very tall building, it's nice to have an efficient lift to use! It's handy to have a car park as it's in a busy area. Oh, and get a sea-facing room - the view is fabulous.

Breakfast!

Beautiful room. Comfy bed. Great location. Lots of home comforts. Great sea view. Incredibly clean. Very quiet room.

Preference rather than criticism: very small tea cups in room. Cooked breakfast disappointing. Pre-cooked, so soggy pale tasteless scrambled eggs with the very good smoked salmon and a poached egg with the avocado that was not fully cooked. Full English was all pre-cooked. Continental offering excellent. Shame, because it wasn't busy at breakfast time so they could have cooked to order.
