Harbour Spring, Peterhead by Marston's Inns

Room was fine staff lovely

Unfortunately the reception check in being in restaurant/bar across from hotel accommodation was really not ideal as i had a 2 year old baby with all bags pram travel cot and mattress and i went to hotel first only to see sign saying please check in at restaurant. So had to carry all above items and baby and pram into busy restaurant not ideal.. also Unfortunately my steak dinner was not cooked correctly twice i ended up not eating a main due to my child and friends all finished rating when my second meal arrived and steak was raw and also mushrooms not cooked at all.

Breakfast was good, with lots of choice. I met up with cousins who were camping and we had an evening meal at the hotel, which was lovely - good quality food and a good menu. Delicious desserts too! We were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, without exception. They make a great team!

I was surprised that there was no fresh coffee for breakfast. I really don't like instant coffee. That's why I haven't given an 'exceptional' score above, which is a pity, as everything else was top notch.

The room was a good size, it was also spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, it was very comfortable. The bed was a king size, the furniture was like new. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a nice shower. There is good parking here, Harbour Springs have a lovely restaurant which is very reasonable price wise too, we had a fabulous breakfast here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were amazed at how reasonable the rate to stay here is. We plan to come back here from now on when we come to Peterhead it was pleasure staying here.

No complaints

Easy place to get to, easy access to anywhere from here as you're on the main ring road and right on the roundabout. It was comfy and clean, decent size TV and selection of channels although personally I could do with more films, clean room and bathroom too. Third or fourth time of staying here and every time it's very good.

Bring your own toilet roll, it's like tissue paper. Kettle is awkward to fill, you have to fill a cup to fill the kettle with.

Great location , super staff , brilliant housekeeping team. The lady booking us in accommodated our request to be able to overlook our motorcycle , no problem , she was informative and super friendly. The ladies on housekeeping were super friendly and our room was super clean.

Pillows were really hard ! I don't like the way Marston's market their breakfast , just looks a bit naff ..... probably isn't !

Really pleased with the staff that served us had a problem with the key but they managed to sort that for us within seconds great friendly staff drinks are cheap and staff are easy too have a laugh with while also remaining really respectful and professional 10/10 experience great prices on food too!

There was nothing not too like!

Room is fine, tv is a good size and room comfortable.

It's all very well hotels latching onto the save the planet by using your towels for more than one shower... ok fair enough... "We will change your towels if requested".. ok fair enough but if a room does not request a room refresh, at least leave a top up of coffee, milk and toilet rolls at the room door if occupants are staying more than one night.

Quiet llocation with friendly staff and easy check in process. Restaurant on site (although we didn't use it)

Rooms are pretty tired although clean enough. The bathroom door stuck on the flooring so it was impossible to go in and out quietly. Clearly been like that for a while going by the marks on the floor. Lots of marks on walls - could do with a freshen up.

Located at the southern roundabout to Peterhead with easy access to the A90, the rooms are very comfortable and well decorated, the bed was comfortable allowing for a good nights sleep. The evening meal in the Marston's restaurant was good.

I have no faults with the accommodation or the staff, the issue is running from the accommodation block to the restaurant in the pouring rain and sitting for an hour eating dinner in wet clothes, covered way would be a nice addition.

The staff were amazing, they really did top our holiday….. my children enjoyed seeing them all in the morning/ evening when we went for food….. we were nearby big areas to go to (first time in Scotland, had to do some sight seeing) but not too close to big areas to have issues….. we thoroughly enjoyed and we can’t thank the staff enough for making us feel so welcome and so comfortable so far away from home :)
