Really lovely rooms. Spacious and modern with a really comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The staff were helpful and really friendly. We had a front bedroom overlooking the high street but didn't hear any noise.

It was disappointing that the pub didn't do food after 6pm on a Sunday evening and for a hotel that's a surprise. There is another pub next door but they were fully booked. The breakfast was only continental, which we weren't expecting either. The room wasn't expensive and we would rather have paid more for a cooked breakfast included. Especially given that I saw breakfast menus the night before in the pub so presumably they do offer breakfast to paying customers on some days of the week.

The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The soft furnishings and decor were very well done. And the toiletries were lovely

We usually opt for a quieter location but our visit was for a family funeral so we wanted to be close to the family. The bedrooms faced the street and up until 23:00 there were people sitting outside having an enjoyable evening. If you go to bed early this may be a problem, but we didn’t as we had a lovely Italian across the road . Once we got to bed the noise level were quiet with only the occasional passing car. All in all it worked very well for us

Room was clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom. Well stocked mini bar at same prices as the bar. There as an issue with the chef on the evening but as I had already ordered they were able to complete my order and the staff kept me updated as there was a delay.

Info re car parking should be clearer - it wasn't the easiest to find. Although I didn't miss a cooked breakfast I wasn't aware that it was continental at the time of booking. Bed was a little firm and pillows very soft but that is personal preference and not the fault of the hotel

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Location was ideal on the High Street in Odiham. Breakfast was excellent. Room was well laid out and nicely decorated. Bathroom was spacious and bright. Robes were provided.

Weather was unusually hot and rooms do not have AC (a fan was provided). Room does not have a safe. Guests who have difficulty with stairs should know there is no lift (this was not a problem for us). Some grouting in the shower could be refreshed.

Staff was great, manager was amazing. We had an issue where booking.com hadn't informed hotel of the booking so they weren't aware of our booking and we arrived at 9.30pm. The manager was great though, sorted it out for us as quickly as possible and gave us a free drink whilst we waited for the room to be made up. Room was amazing, lovely bathroom, great facilities for tea and coffee etc and really comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also amazing.

Next time I'd call the hotel to confirm the booking in advance but that wasn't their fault and they sorted quickly. Only small issue was bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and had someone's Covid test in, we kept meaning to mention but got back to room late both nights. And on the Saturday maybe needed an extra member of staff on over breakfast. Other than that nothing we'd change about anything.

Odiham is a lovely village. Red Lion location is in the High Street and close to everything. The twin room booked is lovely, exposed wooden beams and high pitched ceiling. Amenities great and we had a lovely breakfast before we departed

Fortunately we both like a cooler bedroom, but the radiator did not work - forgot to mention on departure Small attention to detail - only one biscuit with tea & coffee (we didn't want fortunately) - dusty table behind the television

Loved the idea for each room to have an aircraft name. The purpose of our visit to Odiham was to discuss the 60th anniversary of the RAF Belvedere helicopter. This type the first twin rotor - entered service in 1961 and a Belvedere was used to install the spire structure on the newly built Coventry Cathedral in April 1962. Sadly - after participating in military exercises one of the new fleet crashed in Germany three months later. See www.RAFBelvedereXG464/info

Breakfast was disappointing. Our host was very welcoming but didn’t quite make up for the choices on offer. No fresh fruit or - if this was a continental - then some hard boiled eggs at least to go with the ham.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, the hotel is very nice and clean, and the restaurant is very good with great food from a wide selection on the menu at a fair price considering the location.

I would have preferred a cooked breakfast but the only option is a continental selection, there was a loud clanking noise from the pipes at around 5.30 am, and it was a very warm evening, due to the fact that this building is Wattle and Daub it impossible for them to install air con, there is a fan in the room which did help a little.

Lovely room, breakfast on Friday excellent. On Saturday poor. The toast was rubbery, granola was definitely not granola, it may have been either mornflakes or porridge oats! Manageress spent ages getting tv to work on arrival but not working again on Saturday morning.

Fan needed in bathroom, there are unsurprisingly already signs of mould. Wine by the glass poor. One glass I was served was so bad I complained- it was not a Sauvignon blanc, or maybe it could have been opened for too long, pretty horrible, I was not charged which was appreciated. The baby shower party during lockdown seemed inappropriate. They did not observe any social distancing and if it is ok for at least 12 people to gather together inside hugging each other I would have expected them to be in a separate space but I was seated for my evening meal in the same area which felt uncomfortable.
