I think they should explain the breakfast pre order sheet when you check in. we were eating at 1 then going to the New Year’s Day bash the hotel has, so we brought our bags in mid meal once we could access our room , so didn’t see the form. I saw it when we were going to bed but thought it was for room service. we felt as if we got slightly scolded at breakfast when they realised we hadn’t filled it in. On another note, the window ledge begins the sink in the bathroom was very dirty and obviously doesn’t get cleaned.

The customer service was exceptional! Smey facilitated and assisted us in being able to complete our COVID test in order to return to the US. We inquired upon registration if we could use their computer and the staff said absolutely. However, it did not have a camera or microphone which was required. So, Smey volunteered to have her husband bring her laptop for us to use which went above and beyond our expectataions. However, I had an iPad and she assisted us in getting set up to complete our online test and get the results. The customer service and the people are what makes you want to go back to an establishment. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and the proximity to the water was ideal. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing could have been better.

Perfect location, a 10min walk into North Berwick. Ample parking spaces. Well stocked bar and very friendly staff. Quick and easy check in and check out. Staff very helpful with information about the surrounding area. We did not have an evening meal in the hotel so cannot comment.

Breakfast was a bit of a let down. The fresh fruit salad consisted of only water melon and unfortunately our bacon and eggs were a bit on the well done side.

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms, very clean, helpful friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Nice touches include sitting the group of us together for breakfast despite desperate bookings, left water sweets and breakfast bars out in reception for customers to bring up to the room. Delicious cocktails! Dog friendly.

Was waiting quite a while for breakfast to come out the first morning. Was timely second morning, Otherwise simply perfect!

The staff were exceptionally skilled friendly and helpful. The food was very good, though the menu was more limited than might be expected. Location was first class and parking and wifi connection were both free and trouble free. There were little extras such as free bottled water which enhanced the overall experience.

Furnishings were a little worn. Prices for food and wine tended towards the high side

The beds were super comfortable and staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious and varied. There were too many items you could choose and I would recommend going for the muesli and porridge options more than the cooked breakfast if you get full too soon!

The room under the attic with the low ceiling caused us bump our heads a few times but no injuries! :)

Beautiful, large room with really comfy beds and a decent sized bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help with requests.

The bar/lounge area was a little bit noisy on both the afternoon and evening occasions that we went in there with a "younger" set sitting at the long central table which slightly spoiled the atmosphere so we did not dwell here as long as we might have done otherwise. It was Saturday but just a bit too raucous at times even for a weekend. Otherwise this area is very nice and the fact that it has cask ales is a bonus (although the three on offer were all very similar style - a wider choice of type would have been my own preference)!

The hotel was beautiful and in a lovely location. The staff were very helpful, and we and our 2 dogs felt very welcome. The staff went out of their way to cater to the dogs, with water and food at breakfast. We would definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Breakfast was excellent, ordered in advance and table set up when we arrived at requested time. Some really nice touches including jars or fruit and yoghurt and really nice food. We were in a rush so not having to wait to order etc was a real bonus. Had dinner in restaurant which was very busy but had a really nice atmosphere, again staff very attentive and prices were good. In the morning there was bottles of water and snacks that you could take with you. As there were golfers/hillwalkers staying at hotel thought this was a really nice touch
